Hi All
I'm trying to catch up here.

Trib- sorry to hear the house sale fell through, hope you get to keep the deposit though.

Lummox and 2 Happy- Nice to hear you are both coping quite well with 2, they all sound adorable

sfx- your dd sounds very good with talking, my ds has lots and lots of words but not to many sentances. I'll keep my fingers crossed and toes crossed for you too, TTC can be stressful.

ds did his first potty, told us he wanted to go and then sat and did no. 2's. Can't believe how you get excited about this stuff, although today it was in nappy, and was runny too, so maybe that's why.

I have 20 week scan tomorrow, a little anxious to know all is well. Not much else to report here, just love having a toddler, can't believe how quick they grow though.

katzg · 27/03/2007 15:39

Uki - hope the scan went ok

Now northern Junies - Trib and i are organising the Yorkshire Sculpture Park Mile for Maude so we are hoping for a good turn out!!!

Nearly posted an update to say the penny dropped at the weekend and the vendors realised they'd lost their sale - so they spent all weekend dreaming up new and exciting ways to convince us they were serious about moving by end April (like a thousand pound bond put down with the estate agents). We got them to agree to exchange this Friday.

This morning, they pulled out of the sale.

YSP walk .

2HappyEaster · 28/03/2007 12:13

Trib

Hope the scan ok Uki

2HappyEaster · 29/03/2007 09:51

Hmmmmm.
ds1 broke his cot this week, and not just a slat under the mattress but the base frame.

So I weighed him this morning, just out of interest. (He hasn't had an "official" weigh since he was 1 year old.

He weighs just under 15kg

That's just under the 98th centile

Bubbaloo · 29/03/2007 10:33

-Does that mean your Ds1 is now going into a bed?

Ds also hasn't had an official weigh in for about a year, but at the hospital recently he was 28lbs.

Getting totally fed up with this pregnancy lark now.I've now got 4 weeks left to go and yesterday they found 2 traces of protein in my urine,bp was high(ish) and they did a growth scan and cord scan too.Had to have more bloods done and there was also talk of another GTT test, but they seem to have ruled diabetes out now,but are monitoring me for possible pre-eclampsia.
Have to go to my surgery today for a sample and bp check,so fingers crossed it's better than yesterday.Came home from the hospital and have injured myself somehow, picking up a book off the floor,so Dh has taken the rest of the week off to give me a hand,as I can barely move, let alone drive anywhere.
Oh and btw...the baby is already 7lb 3oz so looks like I'm in for another big'un,if I last that long.

2HappyEaster · 29/03/2007 19:42

oh that sucks, bubbs. the last month is such a drag anyway, let alone going through stress and more bloods... hope it's all ok.
yes i think the time may well be right for a big boy's bed for ds1 - he was 33lb when i measured him in that instead of kg! and i hope your growth scan is wrong - i've been telling dmiddlesis they're inaccurate - she was measured 7lb10oz 2wks go, she's being induced tomorrow (13 days over, carrying on the family tradition ) but she's only 5ft1, poor girl! no wonder she's uncomfortable!

lummox · 29/03/2007 21:14

Bubb - growth scan was completely out with ds1 - told me at 36 weeks that he was nearly eight pounds. He arrived at 38 weeks weighing 7 pounds 12. Really feel for you in last weeks of preg. It is so miserable.

Uki - hope all went well.

Trib - sorry to hear about the house.

2happy - hope all is going well with you. we have another monsterous one here. ds1 was 15 kilos last Dec, and over 100th line for height as well. When I pick him up after holding ds2 I am always amazed by how heavy he is. Mind, I am constantly surprised by the fact that ds2 doesn't talk to me when I say hello so this may be saying more about my state of sleeplessness than anything else.

French doctor is, inevitably, worried about ds1 height and weight and printed out some graphs to show that he is very heavy and very tall (thus winnning the captain clever award). really not clear what we are supposed to do about it, since both are in proportion. sigh.

Bubbaloo · 29/03/2007 21:20

Lets hope the scan is wrong and he's a bit smaller, especially as the head size was also around the 85th centile too.

Best of luck for your Dsis tomorrow-hope it all goes well.

Had my bp done this morning and it was the highest it's ever been and still had protein present,so then spent all afternoon at the hospital.Bp was totally normal as were yesterdays blood results-just need to do a 24 hour wee collection and take it in on Saturday for them to check the protein levels.Have a massive container to fill, the size of an oil can.
Need to get bp checked again on Monday and see the consultant again Weds.Having a great time at the mo-poor Dh is off work with stress and we're at another hospital tomorrow with Ds for his feet.Don't know if I'm coming or going-will be glad when the baby is finally here.

Bubbaloo · 29/03/2007 21:25

Hi Lummox-X posted with you.I picked up my friends new baby the other day and it amazed me just how light and small she was.I don't ever remember Ds being that small.I then lifted up her car seat when they were ready to go home and it all came flooding back...those seats weigh a ton.

katzg · 06/04/2007 20:33

ello!

just watching the tumbleweeds!

Hello Again

Bub- sorry to hear about the injury and the protein and bp, hope you manage to keep the pre eclampsia at bay, I had it with junie lots of extra scans, tests and then induction, not much fun, but at least we were ok.
Good luck for the birth... very exciting now

2 happy and lummox- I wish my ds was big and heavy. He is only 10.5 kg,(23.1 pounds) but very tall so very hard to keep his weight up as he just grows or goes to the toilet more I feel like it's an all day job trying to get him to eat more.

News from Scan is.......

All well and healthy and another boy I managed to guess correct, but couldn't really tell until she showed me his willy several times. Now just need to find a name which is hard coz ds1 has the only name we could agree on.

Must admit it is a little boring not getting to buy anything new for bub, but would like to find some other colours than blue to add to the collection.

Hope you all had a fun easter, ds was more into unwrapping the eggs than eating them, which was funny.

NAB3 · 08/04/2007 10:00

I miss you guys. So much has happened with our little boy and it would have been nice to stay on this thread and have people to talk to. Own silly fault for having so many kids that I had months without getting on here. DS2 was born 13.6.05. Nearly 2?!?!?!?

katzg · 08/04/2007 11:38

nab - many of us are still around, so welcome back!

Bubbaloo, any news??????

JonahB · 09/04/2007 19:19

Uki - congratulations on your blue flavour!! Does that mean you're halfway there now?

Bubb, not long to go now. 3 weeks more? Sorry to hear you're having a bit of a stressful time of it there....

I've got a streaming cold and cough at the moment and am feeling particularly sorry for myself . Just adding to the general hideousness of late pgy. I've also been working over the weekend, which I could have done without, but needs must. 19 working days to go.

Hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend.

Bubbaloo · 09/04/2007 21:30

Uki-Congratulations on your blue bump. When are you due?

Jonah-Sorry to hear of the cold.I had it a few weeks ago and was totally miserable with it.Not long to go for you too.

I'm still plodding along, getting fed up,with 2 weeks left to go.Also have been to the hospital nearly everyday to be monitored.Thankfully my bp has now come down a tad,but they keep still finding protein and my hands and feet are twice the size they should be.
Seeing the midwife in the morning and consultant yet again at the hospital on Weds,so I'll wait to see what he says.
On a lighter note, the babys room is now all done and everything is ready and I'm very much looking forward to being able to turn over in the night, without it being agony or taking me ages to do so.

NAB3 · 10/04/2007 13:12

What have I missed???????

sfxmum · 18/04/2007 09:05

hello how is everyone getting on? those new babies must be settling by now (i don't mean sleeping)

any news bubbs?

i am still on the get fit programme if you can call it that, before ttc.
cannot believe it is less than 2 months until dd is 2!!she is fantastic company very chatty with mad toddler talk

hope you are all well

tribpot · 19/04/2007 19:18

Hello all, how are we doing? House traumas continue apace here but we should be about to exchange on a different property tomorrow - keep those fingers crossed!

sfx - I know what you mean about mad toddler talk, and your dd is a fantastic talker (in a good way!).

Bubb - what news?

Jonah - guess you've not got long to go now before you give up work, get those feet up for a well-earnt rest

Uki - yay, another little boy!

Nab - welcome back!

lummox, as ever highly amused by tales of French doctors. ds1 is clearly "too tall" to live in France

Ds1 is deep into the terrible twos now (presumably having not checked a calendar). What fun. But talking loads and putting concepts together as well, like if the lamp won't turn on, it must need a battery. And saw a picture of a grandfather clock in a brochure and pointed at his wrist and said 'time'. His first love remains the big choo choos which go by the end of the garden and it is essential we go to watch them go by at least once a day. Close behind is Thomas the Tank Engine (which is apparently not a big choo choo?) and one way to get a rest is to play the racing game on the Thomas website. Lots of fun!

tribpot · 19/04/2007 19:18

Btw, just realised I referred to ds as ds1, am getting somewhat ahead of myself

sfxmum · 20/04/2007 09:23

trib best of luck for today, fingers firmly crossed. guess by now you will want to throttle an estate agent or two, that is quite normal.

i like that toddler logicbless them it is fantastic watching them link the books and telly to real life and making the weirdest associations

hope everyone is ok

katzg · 20/04/2007 09:32

hi sfx and trib

we've got gabblitus here too, DD2 talks 19 to the dozen. and we gte little running commentrees on what sh doing like 'go outside now, need shoes on please' but the best bit has to be the intonation in her voice i just lvoe it!

trib - hope the house is going through as we speak! you'll have to have a northern junies house waming party!

OP posts:
tribpot · 20/04/2007 10:30

ds is adamant that even if he is entirely naked, all he needs to put on to go outside is his coat. It is proving difficult when it's warm to convince him he doesn't need his coat but does need to get dressed. We went on the big choo choo this morning and I could see him thinking "shall I run away when mummy tries to dress me like I always do ... no wait, I want to go on the big choo choo MORE than I want to wind mummy up. Okay, I'll play along"

Nightmare moment in the office: I brought ds in for 10 mins waiting for the babysitter to show up. I sit in the corner so I thought we could get away with it. As soon as I sat down, big boss came straight over. Uh-oh, am I going to get told off for disrupting the office? No. He wanted to know if I knew of child-friendly places to have lunch in Leeds as his wife was about to come in with their 6 month-old ds. Phew!

katzg · 20/04/2007 11:44

has anyone conquered potty training yet? now we have a down stairs loo this is my next job! i have just ordered some bright bots washable pull ups, which means i will be all set, except i need a new potty!
