If I recall correctly wasn’t bananfish the opening poster of the pregnancy after infertility thread? So sad for her.

Yes we should meet up soon. Let’s find a date.

Looking forward to hearing the next batch of announcements on here soon. X

loopylou1984 · 06/11/2018 10:49

Yes you're right HP. Apologies, she did have a BFP. Sadly miscarried.

lucieloos · 06/11/2018 12:44

I have been following banana on and off too. She has written a couple of articles in the guardian. I was always hoping to see things work out for her so it is very sad.

Stealth, glad to hear everything is going well for you and not too much longer until your next little one arrives. My little girl is 17 months now and it is such a nice age although we are in teething hell at the moment which is quite hard but hopefully they will settle soon.

Boris, I remember the constant feeding well! Soon to be reacquainted with it I expect!

HP, glad to hear that things are not too bad with a toddler and baby! Sounds like you have it all under control. Hopefully I will be able to get into a similar routine after the initial madness!

Hello everyone!

So lovely to hear your updates. Can not believe how fast your pregnancies have gone Lucie and Stealth! I hope the last few weeks as a family of 3 can be enjoyed and savioured before newborn craziness resumes!

Sooooo I have news. I can’t believe I’m writing this BUT.....

We are pregnant!!! A bloody instadiff can you believe?! My period only returned on 22nd Oct. I’m still breastfeeding 16 month old Baby Rose. We had sex once on 2nd Nov (I know- poor DH) and I had ov pain on 5th/6th. And now I’m pregnant. What the F@&K!!!

We are absolutely overjoyed but also so scared and so overwhelmed. I never in a million years thought this would be me! We were planning a FET for Jan!
I know it’s very early days (4 weeks) but just to have a natural BFP is a HUGE step forward for us. What a turn up for the books huh? And it’s happened to a few of us PCOSers!

Shock
stealthbanana · 22/11/2018 15:58

rose hurrrrrAaaah! Massive congrats. Can’t believe yet another instadiffer. Who’d have thought we would have such a different experience second time round?! So excited for you, hope you are feeling ok.

ruthieruthuk · 29/11/2018 19:44

I was diagnosed with fertility issues after having various tests and then a lap and dye which found my fallopian tubes were damaged and coiled, doc gave me less than 10% chance of conceiving naturally so we did IVF but it failed.

Fell pregnant the following month, naturally! Healthy boy born 9m later!

Tried for X amount of months for sibling, then got in touch with clinic again and started prepping for a FET, taking the meds etc.. was told it wasn't unusual to miss period while taking meds but to be safe I took a pregnancy test and positive!! Stopped treatment and baby #2 was born 9m later!

Now on my 5th pregnancy, all natural conceptions!

lucieloos · 26/12/2018 13:10

Rose, that is amazing news so pleased for you! Must be such a shock to get an instadiff after everything!

I just popped on to update our news. I had a baby boy a week ago yesterday. Ended up with an EMCS as he was back to back and got stuck but we are both doing well and over the moon to have him with us for Christmas. He's gorgeous. Hope everyone has had great christmases and look forward to hearing more baby news soon xx

stealthbanana · 27/12/2018 12:13

Yay lucie! The best Christmas present ever

I have 2.5 weeks to go with my little girl and am READY!

lucieloos · 27/12/2018 20:18

Aww good luck stealth hope everything goes well for you. Not too much longer to wait now.

Grumpelstiltskin · 27/12/2018 21:03

Ooh, just checked thread for the first time
in months.

Wonderful news lucie! Congratulations on your new son.
Also exciting times ahead for you stealth, hope you're well!
Argh, rose, that is AMAZING, so pleased you've found yourself in this most unexpected of situations!** How many weeks are you now?
Hope everyone else is doing ok and had lovely Christmasses with the small people.

Sadly, my own instadiff ended in MMC at around 9 weeks in the summer, but we are ok and busy enjoying our DD. It felt quite different this time around (had a MMC prior to DD as well) - obviously sad and stressful but just got on with it and counted our existing blessings. Hoping to try again for a sibling in the new year.

Sending you all the best for 2019.

stealthbanana · 27/12/2018 22:07

Oh I’m sorry to hear that grumpel. After the shock of the instadiff it must have been quite a rollercoaster of emotion. Am glad you (seem) are ok though. Having Christmas with a little person I imagine does make it much nicer, and very different.

And thank you for your well wishes! Am swinging wildly between being madly excited to meet her and worrying that I already have the most amazing little person in town and number 2 can’t possibly live up to his wonderfulness! —am clearly extremely hormonal—

lucieloos · 27/12/2018 22:13

I'm so sorry to hear that grumpel and wish you lots of luck as you try again next year.

Stealth, I was also worried number 2 wouldn't live up to number 1 and I couldn't possibly feel the same but it's true what everybody says you just do. Our little girl has taken to him straight away and wants to kiss and cuddle him and look after him it's very cute!

stealthbanana · 27/12/2018 22:52

That’s reassuring to hear lucie - am pleased your DD has adapted well too as am also a bit worried about my little prince newborn getting v v miffed there’s a new kid on the block!

Happy New Year all!

Aww thanks all. I’m 10 weeks now. I had a scan at 9 weeks and all looked great and correct for my timings, so just hoping things stay that way. Have our dating scan in 2 weeks time.

Huge congratulations @Lucie! How are you finding adjusting to having 2?

@Grumpel I’m so so sorry to hear your news. That must have been quite a shock.
Do you think you’ll try naturally this year or IVF? X

lucieloos · 01/01/2019 08:43

Happy New Year!

Good luck Rosebud I'm sure everything will be fine.

Finding 2 really good at the moment but baba still in sleepy mode and dh is still home at the moment. Might be a bit different when he goes back to work but we've had a lovely Christmas and just enjoying being a family of 4.

stealthbanana · 09/01/2019 04:11

Happy New Year all!

Our new baby DD arrived a fortnight early in the early hours of Monday morning. She is absolutely gorgeous and DS is a proud and attentive big brother! Had a section so still in a fair amount of discomfort but hoping to go home from hosp tomorrow.

But sat here in the dead of night having just finished a feed, reflecting on our journey and just how lucky I am to have my two little munchkins.

lucieloos · 09/01/2019 13:35

Aww stealth that's amazing congratulations! I had a section too this time and am 3 weeks along now and haven't found the recovery too bad after the first week. Hope you get to go home tomorrow and enjoy your beautiful babies x

Iheartlondon · 09/01/2019 15:11

Trixie here, just popping in to say congratulations to Lucie and Stealth, what an amazing start to 2019!

lucieloos · 09/01/2019 15:14

Thanks trixie lovely to hear from you and hope all is well.

Grumpelstiltskin · 15/01/2019 08:33

Oh wonderful! Congratulations on the safe arrival of your daughter, @stealthbanana - I think if there's any time you can be hormonally sappy it's after giving birth! And particularly in light of the difficulties we've all faced in getting here. Corning blessings and all that.

Also so pleased to hear all is going well with no2, @lucieloos.

Congratulations again @RoseBud2016 and hope your presumably upcoming scan goes really well.

At this end, POAS this morning and got a very very faint second line (am only two days late) so here we go again. Feeling very phlegmatic about this as it's crazily-early but hoping it will stick. Fingers crossed.
Also- still just SO SURPRISED that something as simple as having sex at the right time of the month can feasibly result in a pregnancy. Weird.

stealthbanana · 20/01/2019 11:24

Wow grumpel congrats! It’s just bizarre isn’t it?! Sex leading to baby. Whodathunk? Really hoping this one sticks for you.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Stealthina is 13 days old and thriving. Had forgotten how intense the newborn phase is but am loving it - second time round seems more relaxed somehow.

RoseBud2016 · 21/01/2019 10:44

Aww @Stealth! Huge congratulations! How are you finding adjusting to two so far? Was it a planned CS?

@Lucieloos So glad you are recovering well and have found the change to 2 straight forward.

@Grumpel OMG! Tentative early congratulations! I don’t know if it’s something you have thought about or considered but I ‘acquired’ Progesterone pessaries from a friend as soon as I found out and started taking 400mg morning and night for my own peace of mind. Have no idea if it makes a blind bit of difference but it made me feel slightly less anxious. Just a thought.

AFM- 13 weeks now. Dating scan went well. I’ve just weaned myself off the Progesterone and hoping everything continues to go smoothly. DD (18 months) currently has a bad case of flu. We were in hospital with her for most of last night because she couldn’t control her temp or heart rate, even with meds. Pretty scary stuff but we are home now and hoping for a quick recovery, and a miracle....that I don’t get it.

stealthbanana · 05/02/2019 09:50

rose so pleased your 12w scan went well. Hoping your little one is on the mend too. So scary when they’re sick.

All good here. No 1 has definitely taken some time to adjust to no 2 being here - he started waking at night again etc. (Always timed to wake when the baby was actually sleeping - brutal!). But it is slowly getting better as he adjusts to the new reality. I had a “planned” section although technically it was another emergency as my waters broke so I was in labour. But they brought me straight in and did the section so it was v straight forward. Have found it really tough though as cannot lift the toddler for 6 weeks and don’t feel confident taking him out by myself as eg I couldn’t stop him if he ran into the road. So it’s been a bit limiting in that respect - roll on the 6 week check!

stealthbanana · 05/02/2019 09:51

Oh! And grumpel, hoping your sticky bean is sticky and you are still pregnant....
