Well keep me posted on what you decide to do. Have just been reading up on frers - they’ve changed them since I was last poas! Won’t bothrr with them anymore - there is such a thing as too sensitive!

lucieloos · 17/03/2018 14:20

Yes will do. Hope everything resolves shortly for you too.

lucieloos · 17/03/2018 18:36

Snow, I've created a thread on the infertility board 'trying to conceive baby #2 after ivf treatment for #1' Hoping to share this journey with others in a similar situation. Pop over and say hi if you like x

Snowdayfet · 17/03/2018 19:57

Oh perfect! I shall do that. Definitely would love some company over the next few months. Thanks x

Babytoboris · 17/03/2018 20:20

Lucie - I’m so sorry I missed all of this as it was happening and I realise you asked questions about the process too. Sorry.

I hope your next transfer goes better. It’s such a rollercoaster.

I was still breast feeding DS through transfer and until I was 6 weeks pregnant and he got meningitis then I had to stop. I only fed in the evenings and first thing in the morning, so not a lot. Reprofit wouldn’t let me do a medicated cycle whilst breast feeding so I did a natural cycle fet. To be honest weaning was actually easy in the end - I gave him milk in a cup and it didn’t take long for him to move on from BF.

lucieloos · 17/03/2018 20:25

Aww thank you boris it's ok I didn't think you came on here that much anymore so wasn't really sure you would be able to reply in time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son I hope everything is ok now.

It's strange reprofit won't do a medicated fet while breastfeeding. I'm on an ivf group for breastfeeding mums and lots of them are doing medicated and having success. Apparently the estrogen doesn't really pass through the milk but can cause a drop in supply. It's good to hear you breastfed at the start as somehow I was blaming myself for doing that but actually I don't think that's why it didn't work now.

Babytoboris · 17/03/2018 21:16

I don’t think that any of the normal drugs used in medicated FETs can cause issues in breastfeeding - I can only assume reprofit were being ultra cautious. But the natural fet worked. luck of the draw? Just the way the odds worked for us? apparently sucess rates are pretty much the same for medicated and natural cycles but reprofit think that women who travel prefer the greater certainty over dates that a medicated cycle brings

I doubt breast feeding so little quantities would make the difference at this point. I did loads of research and decided it was worth going for a transfer whilst still BFing once or twice a day; although I did try to cut out the morning feed 3 days before transfer (and to memory it worked). I think by transfer day I was only feeding once. X

Hey just thought I would pop on to let you now that after our chemical last month we decided to go back straight away and have our other tested embryo transferred. It's early days but I have a nice strong line on frer today at 7dpt and got 1-2 on digi yesterday at 6dpt. Having beta on Monday and really hoping this is a sticky one.

JustTrixie · 13/04/2018 16:56

That's great news Lucie, really pleased for you. Good luck for Monday but sounds promising!

lucieloos · 13/04/2018 17:18

Thanks trixie really hope so!

stealthbanana · 13/04/2018 20:26

That’s amazing lucie - congrats! Have always admired your resilience and determination, well done in going straight back for a second round. Fx this one is a sticky embie!

lucieloos · 13/04/2018 21:03

Aww thank you stealth would be amazing if this one works out!

stealthbanana · 14/04/2018 07:03

I really hope it does!

loopylou1984 · 14/04/2018 07:25

Congratulations lucie!! Fingers crossed for Monday. Xx

lucieloos · 14/04/2018 08:16

Thanks Sammy 😀 Hope you're doing ok.

loopylou1984 · 14/04/2018 10:52

We're good thank you, the twins are exhausting me as they're constantly on the move in opposite directions... but it's an amazing kind of exhaustion!

lucieloos · 22/06/2018 22:48

Hi there just checking in to see how everyone is. Anymore news or babies? My second pgs fet worked and I'm currently nearly 15 weeks pregnant with baby no2. Hope everybody else is ok.

Grumpelstiltskin · 23/06/2018 10:21

Hey Lucie, what lovely news!Congratulations. Hope you've been feeling well.

Often think of all you lot, but since returning to work rarely have time for MN any more! Hope everyone is doing well. My DD is 16 months now and adorable. Lots of words, running around everywhere - it's a very fun age. Starting to think a bit more about TTC no2 but have decided to see how it goes naturally for 6 months before deciding whether to have more IVF. We have no frosties so would need to start again and it makes me feel a bit... tired, to be honest.

Anyone else thinking about or proactively planning siblings? X

stealthbanana · 25/06/2018 20:47

Hello all! What a timely thread, I’ve popped back here as have just gulp found out I’m pregnant. Naturally. Whilst on the mini pill. I can’t believe I have become an instadiffer after being completely anovulatory last time. I’m one of those women I hated!

I’m off for a scan tomorrow so don’t even know how far along I am yet but have had horrible nausea that turned into “food poisoning” for a couple of weeks before the penny dropped so based on last time I am guessing early days. Hopefully there will be something to see on the scan.

Very mixed feelings about it all (terrible timing etc) but am overall happy - how could I be anything but with my fertility track record?!

lucie amazing news am so glad your little one stuck this time. You’re an inspiration.

grump so glad to see you around these parts, and that grumpette continues to be a delight. Long may it continue.

Stealthini is now 18 months old and similar to grumpette is a complete charmer. Lots of words, a few sentences, ridiculous levels of energy and many sloppy baby kisses and cuddles. Am enjoying this stage much more than the newborn phase (uh oh) and just loving watch him turn into a proper little person.

lucieloos · 26/06/2018 14:51

Wow stealth that's amazing news!! Congratulations! I hope the scan goes well today. Keep us posted can't wait to hear all about it. Must have been such a lovely surprise when you finally twigged.

Grump, glad you are well and good luck trying for no2.

I'm suffering with really bad migraines at the moment and sickness has also reared its head. I thought I had been lucky this time and got away with it but seems I'm getting it at a time when most others are starting to feel better. Saw the midwife this morning and all ok so she said the headaches are most likely caused by high hormone levels.

stealthbanana · 26/06/2018 18:17

Thanks Lucie. We didn’t really have any plans to “try” (ie transfer another frostie) for at least another 6 months so it was definitely a mixed reaction when I found out (ohhhh f*%k!). But it’s hard to be anything but delighted to be able to do it naturally.

Scan today showed one little wriggler dating 10+4 - so I am a fair bit further along than what I thought! But amazing scan, they showed me some 3d and it was all very emotional. I had the NIPT bloods taken so hopefully they will all come back ok. One good thing about finding out late is that much less stress around the first tri wait!

lucieloos · 26/06/2018 19:58

That's brilliant you are so far along. I'm 15 weeks today so you're not that far behind me. Hope everything goes well with nipt.

stealthbanana · 26/06/2018 21:21

Thank you. Yes it was a(nother) shock - I was wondering whether I’d even be able to see anything on scan!

15w is amazing you must be so pleased. Sorry to hear you’re feeling ill though, that’s the worst. If it keeps up I would really recommend going to get some medication - it really does work and it doesn’t harm the baby.

lucieloos · 26/06/2018 22:44

Thanks stealth might have to do that although at the moment it's the migraines that I'm struggling with the most. They just put me out of action for a whole day or two.

stealthbanana · 27/06/2018 08:42

Flowers lucie. That sounds awful. Hope you feel better soon, and that work are being ok about it.
