Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Wow.. I'm starting to get some really good stretches of sleep now, but tbh its making me feel even more tired ! LO has been going for 6 hours inbetween feeds for the past few nights and has been much more comfortable in the evenings. He had been crying for a couple of hours but recently I've started drinking camomile tea (yeuuchh...) and avoiding as much dairy as poss. Maybe its a coincidence or maybe he's just getting through that windy stage now .. i dont know.

Has anyone heard from KatieRocket ? I have been thinking of her when we've had difficult times.

Right Beckham alert .......

if you are interested in Beckham then read on, otherwise I've nothing baby wise to add so you dont need to continue .....

When he was playing for man u we would often see them out and about where we lived but the funniest time was when we were in the local M&S at the time when he had launched his kids clothing range. SIL and I were looking at the clothes and we were saying 'dont like that .... not keen on this ... etc etc when we turned round to find him standing there in disguise with his cap pulled over his face. He mumbled something about seeing how it was going and then walked off. We stood there and looked a bit sheepish. I did then buy a t shirt though from his range, but it was never one of my favourites.

Just to add he is so ridiculously handsome its untrue.

OOOh shimmer, my LO was born on Dec 22 (a bit early - and I havent posted on the December group 'cos you are all so nice here )and I thought he was a capricorn ?

Hmmmm looks like 22nd Dec is Capricorn too... just checked. God knows why that one I got sent said 23rd... So your LOs a capricorn too Kat!! The one before that is sagittarius and, for any late Jan babies, the one after is Aquarius(my best friend's Aqurious and she's mega clever and gorgegous and talanted...so that's obviously a good one!!)

Right MUST go and get dressed....

theUrbanDryad · 01/03/2007 11:31

bleargh....i'm bored of today already. i felt really ill this morning, very shaky and dizzy and i didn't dare pick zac up because i was worried i was going to faint! was dropping mega hints to him about him staying at home today but he went in anyway zac went back to sleep in our bed for an hour and i went downstairs and realised that our property visit is due today so i couldn't go back to sleep. anyway, then i made myself a sausage sandwich but didn't notice the mouldy bread till i was mostly finished. and then i went upstairs cause i could hear a funy noise on the monitor and zac was being sick so hard it was coming out of his nose.

can it be tomorrow now?

theUrbanDryad · 01/03/2007 11:34

"him" being dh, sorry....not making much sense today.

btw - i'm an aquarius.......don't feel massively clever though.....

laughalot · 01/03/2007 11:54

Wilkie you are right about the virgo thing my dh is a virgo, hope j is ok today and not to unsetteled.

Well my poor ds is still poorly he is so lifeless its awful ( tmi alert) however his poo seems to be getting more solid so hopefully the worse is over with, had a bad night as ds was up and down then dd decided to be a pain in the bum however I think she may have a bit of what my ds has got she was down at 9 up at 12 then again at 3 then 5.45 then 7 !!! She is usually swaddled in her moses basket but she keeps getting her arms out and waking herself up so tonight im going to put her down without being swaddeled to see how we get on.

Lth I might try the hungry baby milk thing at night and see if that works my ds ended up on hungry baby milk but I cant remember at what age.

ellieandhattie · 01/03/2007 12:58

laughalot that was me talking about hungrier baby milk I know we did this with ellie but think it was a little later on as paranoid first time mum last time, I had though about swapping all her feeds onto hungrier baby stuff but shes happy enough in the day so am only doing the early evening and dreamfeed on hungrier baby.

Been to town this morning with my brother needed to get Ellie some new beakers and in boots they are on 3 for 2 so a little early but I got Hattie a pink first stage beaker ready (well ellie didnt need 3 beakers!!)got all the mothers daycards for my mum/mil and got some nanny ones for them from the dd's.

My brother ended taking ellie in to hmv with him and she came out with 2 barbie dvds and a dora dvd courtesy of her uncle and they swiftly went in to mcdonalds where she got a happy meal with chocolate milkshake (can't you tell he hasnt got any childen yet)so he currently flavour of the week with her but shes happily watching barbie 12 princesses dvd and I am going to go and cut the grass as its such a nice day

theUrbanDryad · 01/03/2007 13:04

awww EAH your brother sounds lovely....the whole point of uncles and aunties is to spoil kids a little bit!! my SIL bought Zac a whole load of 0-3 months clothes at xmas; my brother said "I never know what she's going to come home from Tescos with next!!"

dh is coming home in a bit...YAY!! think i may have laid it on a bit thick txting him and telling him all about Zac's vomiting out of his nose experience!!

RGee · 01/03/2007 13:16

EAH - did you really cut the grass??

UD - only 10 3/4 hours til tomorrow...

I am soooo brave. lo had her jabs today and I didn't cry. She's sleeping now

RGee · 01/03/2007 13:22

By the way, I'm a Capricorn, and am a stickler for routine (predictable....boring??). I'm even tempered, stubborn but emotionless. Glad to see my daughter will take after me!

Lizzzombie · 01/03/2007 14:17

UD - poor little zac - that sounds awful. Hope he is ok soon x

ellieandhattie · 01/03/2007 14:17

yep rgee grass all cut ellie 'helped'by following me with her toy mower and wrapped hattie up and she laid in her pushchair and got some fresh air.

We even did a little bit of weeding but got bored and hattie due a feed so came in. Its really nice here today, sunny but windy so have taken advantage and have stripped all the beds washed them and they are blowing around on the washing line - I feel like a domestic goddess today

wilkie50 · 01/03/2007 18:32

Do you think I can give LO back for an exhange or refund?

Seriously, had enough.

KatieRocket been emailing me, not good her end bless her. Think she's at the end of her tether....hmmm feels familiar.

LadyTophamHatt · 01/03/2007 18:50

would it be wrong of me to kill my DH??

We've got mice!!!!

They've been living in HIS FUCKING GARAGE for weeks, and have now got into the house.
When he found them I said I hope they won't get in the house, and he said they wouldn't....The garage is probably running alive with them

Mouse dropping all inside the cupbaord and all over the saucepans.

I really do not need this today.

Stupid fucking TWAT!

LadyTophamHatt · 01/03/2007 18:51

Sorry, wilkie...I'm not ignoring you.

I wish i had some words of encouragemnt for you, I'm sorry you're finding it hard.

xx

ellieandhattie · 01/03/2007 19:42

wilkie is is tomorrow you have your next session of CO, is he happy if you are holding him or cranky all the time just trying to think of anything else it could be. What formula milk are you using? Sat hi to katierocket

LTH Use one of the saucepans with th emouse droppings in to hit him over the head with

UD how are you and zac now?

Hope everyone else is okay

theUrbanDryad · 01/03/2007 19:45

oh wilkie...i do know how you feel, when the LO's been crying for 4 hours solid and the house is in a state and it's half 4 in the afternoon and you're still in last week's pyjamas and you haven't had a shower for 3 days? i'm told it does get easier...here we have good and bad days. today started off bad. it got better. just done bathtime, now attempting to put Z to bed. does your ds settle in the pram or the car? i find if it's all getting a bit much i just put him in the pram or the sling and just get some fresh air!! it quietens Zac down a treat - not sure if it's the shock of the cold air or the movement, but it works!

i'm so sorry things are shite for you at the moment, i hope they start to look up soon. xox

theUrbanDryad · 01/03/2007 19:49

EAH - Zac settled when DH came home at about 2 this afternoon. he always settles better for daddy (unless he wants feeding!) then we went into town and i had him in the sling till about half 5 so he was drifting in and out of sleep anyway.

we got given a load of M&S vouchers when Zac was born (presumably for clothes or whatever) but he really really doesn't need anything, so we bought loads of yummy Chinese food and we're going to have a takeaway without even the trouble of phoning for it! class! (much cheaper than takeaway too)

RGee · 01/03/2007 19:57

wilkie - sorry things aren't good. Are you getting enough support? When my dh comes home from work, I hand lo over and have 2 hours to myself. It makes all the difference after a shitty day.

LTH - would lend you my cat if I lived nearby. What magic was he hoping to weave to prevent them getting in your house? Duh!

EAH - I bow down to your lawn mowing...

ellieandhattie · 01/03/2007 19:58

mmmnn I'm hungry yet to have dinner as hattie has thrown up in her cot followed by doing a huge 'up the back' poo and now won't go back down - is there a full moon tonight?????

RGee · 01/03/2007 19:59

Lizz - meant to say that lo slept for 4 hours last night from 11.40 to 3.40, then until 7.15. First time she hasn't woekn every three hours. There is hope
Obviously will not happen tonight due to excessive sleepiness caused by her jabs today but fingers crossed for you.

RGee · 01/03/2007 20:00

EAH - lol at 'up the back poo' - that's the worst sort!!

ellieandhattie · 01/03/2007 20:00

rgee you can get back up now he he

only did it so ellie could go out and play and I didnt have to walk to the park [lazy emoticion]

ellieandhattie · 01/03/2007 20:26

jodie - did you get the bottles as lost your email address. The only reason I ask is because i took them to local post office on monday and went there today to find its been closed since tuesday as the man that works there has had a heart attack and they won't be reopening till monday when they can arrange post office cover person so I'm not sure whats happened to the post that was inside
