Jan '07: Finally, we can reach to cut our toenails, see to groom our ladygardens, and have norks the size of norway. Shame we're too tired to give a damn!

Hmmm clearly didn't get that link right. anyway it was www.bobandblossom.com

Shimmer · 06/03/2007 15:47

Ooh got it! here
Ta da (that really better have worked that time!!)

Muckypup · 06/03/2007 15:48

I use fairy non bio and it has removed all poo stains so far. It also does the trick with the copious amounts of baby sick on all of my clothes and those of DH and DS.

theUrbanDryad · 06/03/2007 16:54

hey there! we we've had a busy day so far...went for coffee with a friend from my antenatal class and ended up having a cream doughnut as well then me and Zac went to town and i bought some dungarees for him. got some nice ones from George (Asda) and some from Boots. couldn't be arsed going to Next though! maybe at the weekend....

i use Tesco's own non-bio tablets and they work a treat. mind you, i've not had any really bad stains yet, but there's some blood on his dungarees from his jabs yesterday so we'll see how they come out.....may have to get the Vanish out!

Lizzzombie · 06/03/2007 16:55

I use Persil Non Bio, at 40 degrees and all stains disappear. Have never soaked anything in milton or whatever you are supposed to do asap. Yeah right! if its truly gross, I'll chuck it out. Have enough baby clothes to fit a football team anyway.
BTW - no shame in shopping at Primark I love it! I am the Queen of Primarni. Bit of a nightmare with a buggy though. Am thinking of fitting razor blades to the wheels for my next visit. What do you think?
Have emailed Ch5 to ask about repeats of last nights programme.
HV weighed my LO today. 11.1lbs at 6 wks +3! woo hoo. what a fattie! x

Hattie2 · 06/03/2007 17:02

The swmnbn prog is repeated on sat at 9pm and sunday at 8pm - hoping to catch one of those if LO will oblige!

EAH - there's nothing wrong with Primark!! I went upmarket yesterday though and bought a couple of things from New Look

AB's for the mastitis seem to be kicking in as not quite so agonisingly painful today, I just so never want to get it ever ever again!

Hi everyone, well managed to brave going into town on my own with DS this afternoon. Was a bit worried about having to bf in public for the first time, but he slept the whole time. I did kind of keep an eye out for the nearest parent and child room. I was amazed at how many there are actually.

Got DS some nice dungarees in H&M and me some nice nursing tops and swapped a few presents for bigger sizes.

Wilkie, I can't seem to upload photos anymore either. My DS is definitely the cutest!!!

I've resized them but it just doesn't seem to work anymore, I just get a brown blank bit. Anyone have any tips?

carrotcake · 06/03/2007 17:35

How are you all managing to get yours going so long between feeds? Felix might make 2-3 hours in the day, by accident, if he's asleep but it's usually no longer than 2 and as for the night, it's quite often 12, 3, 5 and 6, or something like that, perhaps having him in the bed doesn't help, although he starts off in his cot! Any tips?
Also, I'm quite happy to feed in a cafe, did today in costa but are there actually any nice parent feeding rooms around? There didn't use to be with ds1 (nine years ago) I thought things might have changed a bit by now for those times when you want a bit of privacy, but I haven't seen anywhere...

trixymalixy · 06/03/2007 17:39

Aha, have cracked it. Check out how cute my DS is!!

theUrbanDryad · 06/03/2007 17:47

carrot - i fed ds in the mothercare M&B room today, which was fine until someone came in and changed a really stinky nappy!! the parents room in H&M is ok, but to be perfectly honest, most mother and baby rooms are feeding AND changing areas, and since i wouldn't eat my dinner in a toilet, i'm not about to ask my LO to, so i tend to feed him in cafes, on benches, pubs, wherever! we've got good at it now....you can't see anything, so no-one could be offended by my exhbitionist ways!!

carrotcake · 06/03/2007 17:57

Yep, I have to say I do feed anywhere too, UD, and I agree, they are nearly always toilets as well. Yuck. But I know some people are embarrassed or uncomfortable feeding in public, it would be nice to think there are better provisions these days... although I think it might still be a bit cold to feed in the park, wind whistling up your back! Also, he's just started to pull his head off and look at it as well, leaving me a long nipple spraying milk if I'm not quick

RGee · 06/03/2007 19:19

Hi folks. I braved Ikea today and was impresswed by their feeding room. Was also a toilet but it was HUGE. There were actually two toilets - a kiddie one and an adult one (my dh and I decided to pee at the same time - luckily I had the adult loo ). Complimentary nappies, wipes etc, clean change area, empty nappy bins, comfy feeding seat, and lots of Ikea toys to play with.

vinorouge · 06/03/2007 19:21

EAH you are take that obsessed! And yes I got the bottles free, a small one with the breast pump and 2 large ones with the steriliser plus a cup with handles for later on.

I am a primark shopper too! Their HUGE knickers at 2.00 for 5 pairs were a godsend towards end of pregnancy - stopped wearing them now much to DH delight.

My 'nap' ended up being a 3 hour sleep so feeling much brighter now. Ellen slept beside me all the time.

I was changing Ellen's nappy in Tesco today and there was a chair squashed between the change thing and the nappy bin - presumed that was for feeding and thought yuk I would never use that. Wonder if I will still be BF in the summer....could catch sun on shoulders and satisfy LO!

My mum coming tomorrow to give me TLC as upset over boob probs.

I use Fairy at 40 and stains have come out. Well all baby stains have....DH's sick after a night out needed 2 washes and vanish to clean the pillowcase and you can still see it slightly!

Right, I've cracked and started the new thread
Enjoy
