Hellooooooooooooooo!

Sat opposite Tabs ignoring her (as she probably types about me)... she is a monster of a woman, holding me here against my will and plying me with wine... tis pure hell

3K -

Soupy - @ the googly eyes... where do you store the things?!?!

Erm... forgotten what I was going to say! Good journey here... a bit lost, but we got there in the end.

Long night last night, little man has started having interesting erection issues at 2am, and his nappy hurts!! Take it off for it to all settle down, he's happy and go back to sleep

He's spent most of his time here playing with (and breaking) a laptop Clearly his father's child!

CanSleepWontStarve · 11/02/2007 16:52

Very sorry (and surprised) to hear that 3K. Having a baby is such a big life changing thing that it's bound to put a strain on any relationship, but hope that you can work through it.

Well it seems that dd isn't actually better yet, but we're managing to keep her temp down by administering calpol and nurofen together, and she's happy for as long as she's cool for. She ate some lunch (and taught Emrys how to throw food on the floor ) so that's a good sign.

lol at more googley eyes - think you need to give her slices of licorice allsorts instead, as they will look similar, but be more edible!
We use pure here, so if I need to make a cake myself, I will indeed use that, thanks.

Pippa eating is more than Lewis has done today. He had a few baked beans and a yogurt for lunch and for dinner 2 spoons of scrambled egg and wouldn't have anything we tried near his mouth so i attempted a slice of fruit loaf and he ate that. I just made him some porridge just to try get something more down him and he won't entertain more than 1 spoonful.

Does anyone else find that their lo like something 1 day then won't have it the next?

He's so tired now cos he's only had 2 small naps when he normally has 1-2 hours at each nap. Only 1hr 50mins til bed (although i might take him earlier yet) He's just here now rolling all over floor crying not knowing what to do with himself. He won't let either of us pick him up he doesn't want to be on the floor.

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 18:23

Well afer my last post i bathed him and got him dressed for bed and he put his head down on me and went tp sleep before i got chance to get his bottle or his medicine down him so i dream fed and dream drugged him and carried him up to bed at 6. So that'll prob mean he'll be up early.

Frizbe · 11/02/2007 19:22

3K hope you can work things out between you, we're here for you hon

Flame and CSWS bet your both very drunk by now then eh

PMSL Phoenix we've fed our kids the same thing today, dd2 has had scrambled egg for one meal (breakfast with toast) and wasn't fussed about lunch much (cause she did a drive by on dd1's banana snack when she put it down for a second, lol) so she then went until tea when she had beans too with baked tatty wedges, which she threw mainly on the floor

Had lovely walk out at Rufford today, giggled at some prat who had tried to drive their new Vauxhall thru the obviously too deep ford,(you could see the meltwater steaming down the overflow from the lake next to it) and thus there was the RAC trying to tow the now knackered car out, with a large crowd watching ran into some friends there too have decided it will be great for summer picnics there.

2boysmacca · 11/02/2007 20:27

It's been a loooong day! Got in at 1.30, Luca woke at about 1.45. I lay on the floor next to him with my arm in his cot, everytime I tried to get away he woke. At 5am I crawled into my bed (except it wasn't my bed, it was ds1's. At 7.30 he woke cying his eyes out, refused breakfast and just lay on the sofa. I couldn't take him to the birthday party like that so I just took ds2. I'm knackered. Too much to drink, 2 hours sleep and a very grizzly little boy.

I need to strip our bed clothes before I can crawl into it but I just cannot be bothered, I'm too tired. Have a long drive ahead of me tom, so I'm gonna just have to call it a night.

If I don't manage to get on tomorrow, have a great meet up on Tuesday. Wanna see the photos.

Jelley · 11/02/2007 20:43

Hope you get a good night sleep tonight macca.

I think I have put some pics on my profile. Can someone let me know if they work. The snowman and supersize baby will be there for a few days only

CanSleepWontStarve · 11/02/2007 20:48

Not drunk Frizbe, but could do with it after doing bedtime with 3 of them - can see we're going to be in for lots of fun this week . B and Emrys fast asleep and setting a good example, but Pippa still shouting her head off at the moment. Routine totally to pot today, and I guess she's not as tired as normal after spending the morning asleep.

3k - are you still coming on Tuesday? Sounds like you could use a good day out.

Is anyone around to remind us which station we need to get to quicker than we can search for the last time someone told us?!

Jelley · 11/02/2007 21:06

From the London Eye Website:

Directions
By tube
The Eye is approximately five minutes walking distance from Waterloo tube station (follow signs for the South Bank) and Westminster tube station (exit one, follow signs for Westminster pier).
By rail
The Eye is five minutes from Waterloo mainline train station. Take exit six for the South Bank and follow the signs. The London Eye is 15 minutes from Charing Cross mainline train and tube station, which is accessed via Golden Jubilee Bridges.

By bus
Buses to the London Eye include the 211, 77 and 381. We are on most London sightseeing bus tours and on the RV1 route that connects the London Eye to the Tate Modern and Covent Garden.

Jelley · 11/02/2007 21:10

I'm thinking train to Liverpool Street, circle line to wesminster is best (for me, depends where your trains take you)

What time/place to meet?
Westminster, or the Eye?
10.30/11.00?

3k I really hope you decide to come still.

CanSleepWontStarve · 11/02/2007 21:20

Looks like train from Luton to Blackfriars for us, then tube to Westminster. Depending which time train we get, we'd be due to get to Westminster at either 10:32 or 10:50. Happy to meet there if you like, so that we can annoy the other passengers with our mass of buggies and children.

CanSleepWontStarve · 11/02/2007 21:24

There is apparently a 'reduced escalator service' at Westminster at the moment. Am assuming that means that there is still some escalator service, but has anyone been there recently who can confirm?

Flamesparrow · 11/02/2007 21:24

My sister is still toying with joining us for a bit - she's broken a rib, so it all depends on how she's feelign and if she thinks she is up to it before having to go to work at 12.30

Jelley · 11/02/2007 21:45

you are organised re train times csws. I will just get out of the house as early as I can, wait an age for a bus, then get the next train I can (they go every 1/2 hour), so it depends on the buses for me (they run every 20 mins in theory but are often cancelled without notice).

I'll be hoping for 10.30, but may be best if I text you once I am on a train and have better eta.

Flame - get your sister to come. She can stand at the top and supervise all the big kids, while we ferry the buggies up the escalator/stairs

I will be carrying both baby and buggy until I'm sure I have finished with stairs.

Broken ribs seem to be all the rage

Thinking it might be easier to meet outside the Eye, as it'll be easy to miss each other at the station? Or is that just me?! Maybe by the big Dali sculpture outside County Hall? I will be going Westminster, just not decided whether to brave the tube yet. And whether to bring both ds's or not. If its only one, it will be ds1 though! Oh, opinions and a decision please!!! Just thinknig how much easier it'll be with one, and how ds2 wont enjoy being in a buggy all day anyway.

Flamesparrow · 11/02/2007 21:49

Part of me still thinks i should sling him, but its the whole issue of nappy bags etc

Flamesparrow · 11/02/2007 21:51

I have a buy one get one free or half price entry or something for MT that my sister emailed me... am i printing off that?

PhoenixGirl · 11/02/2007 21:53

Ds just woke up so dh went up to him and he wouldn't settle back to sleep so i went up to try and he felt sooooooooooo warm so checked temp. it was 39.4 Its still high but going down slowly. He's come round a bit now ad sat on the floor in his nappy playing.
