chuffed - bloody hell 3 triple congratulations to you, when you due, when will you now flavours? You have super follicles girl

georgie - congratulations for you too, whens you due?

hope some of the baby dust rubs off on me now nothing new to report

oh T is very high spirited I thought the second born was supposed to be laid back. She was patting my back today saying "good girl Mummy" also found her on top of the glass dining room table and she can open doors now too, my nerves are shattered. I don't know I think maybe I treat them the same too much as well that T doesn't get the babying A got, she doesn't miss a thing though has to have everything A has which causes loads of fights. Oh and she's taking to pulling hair too. Why do I want another one again?

OP posts:
Chuffed · 01/10/2007 03:54

sweetkitty oh yes the fighting. dd and ds have that quite often but they do play alot together as well which is so lovely.

We'll be finding out flavours as soon as we can, funnily dd was talking about 3 babies in mummies tummy 2 days before we found out by scan and she said 2 girls and a boy so we'll see if she is right.

Good luck with the ttc, I'm sure it will happen soon.

I've had two scans already, and have a consultants appt on Thurs. I suppose there has to be some benefit almost dying when ds was born.

ds an only child for a couple of days as dd at my mums. so far he is so much more demanding without his sister.

Tickle · 04/10/2007 21:40

hey chuffed - how did the consultant's apptmt go?

dd2 and ds2 on their own for a few days with me, as dh away with dd1 and ds1. Doesn't seem much quieter to be honest

We still haven't sold our cottage in Cornwall, so I might be going over in a couple of weeks to tend to the garden and check on the place - a quick England fix or maybe just a Waitrose fix!

Theo is a total drama queen at the moment - if I say no/try to dress him/try to undress him/help him out of the car/look at him - he melts into a howling mess on the floor. And boy can he howl!

Then Clemmie plays the whingeing card and I melt into a howling mess on the floor...

lots of love to you all

iris66 · 05/10/2007 05:08

Morning
CHuffed - i was wondering about you too.

Tickle - it must be an age thing with the paddys (ie they're under 18 )

Dom discovered how to remove his nappy yesterday (back on with the poppered gusset vests methinks!. Why is it that they only do this when:
a) you are out of the room taking a phone call, and
b) it is full of poo that is virtually the same colour as your carpet?
He clearly sat down twice and I've scrubbed those areas but there's still a lingering smell which may be from a spot I've missed because I can't see it. I'm going to chuck a load of bicarb down in a mo (should have done it last night but didn't think) Anyone recommend a good steam cleaner?

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 05/10/2007 19:00

Hee hee. You do make me laugh

Libby just the same. Total drama queen. Could win an Oscar for some of her performaces! Am resorting to knee in the guts to get her into pushchair when she's ram rod straight and stepping over her when she's flayling on floor in Bentalls (large dept store in Kingston) throwing paddy fit. That was an interesting experience.

She's also total daddy's girls at the mo. Won't let me near her when her father walks in the door. I am chopped liver as far as she's concerned. Little beast!

Chuffed - any news?

All here. Don't want to jinx anything. No signs of morn sickness.....yet.

Libs is with Gav 'up north' seeing the rellies (I've been let off for good behaviour). And Moo with her Dad for the weekend so that means ladies, I'VE GOT SOME TIME OFF!!!!!!

Hair, nails and facial tomorrow. DVD and HUGE amounts of food tomorrow night. Sunday is shopping trip to Kingston to look for some winter boots and then off to cinema early eve. Bliss.

G xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 05/10/2007 19:01

Duh. I mean, 'all ok here'.

Tickle · 06/10/2007 06:58

Ooh Georgie enjoy that time off!! A bit of course...

I dragged all the bags of outgrown clothes (outgrown by me too ) into the living room last night, to sort them and try to be ruthless. 3 enormous storage bags for the charity shop so far

Hope everyone is doing well

Txx

iris66 · 11/10/2007 11:29

Hi all how's everyone doing?

Georgie - hope you enjoyed your pampering weekend - am v I'm such a scuzzy mare at the mo. I took nailvarnish off this morning (in readiness for induction on 25th Oct ) that had actually almost grown off my toenails from a pamper day DD & I went on before whe went to uni!

Tickle - there was I feeling a little smug that Dom hasn't really started tantrumming yet and, yes, you guessed it he's certainly showing his colours now!!! But why, oh why, all the high pitched screaming to go with it!!! I wish he wasn't quite so strong too - my wrestling skills really aren't up to much at the moment

Chuffed - hope everything's going ok with you.

Wherethewildthingsare - how's the new job going? (and, don't think we've forgotten, your wedding plans? )

Back teeth seem to be the issue of the moment here. Dom's a dribble monster again and is constantly chomping anything he can wrap his chops round (remote controls/doors/toys etc) his appetite is all over the place as a result - poor little chap. He's discovered the joys of crayoning on everything too (perhaps I should have just kept them for when he was in his high chair ) I can't wait to see how he reacts when the new baby comes. I've got him a present from the baby but was thinking of giving him his own "baby" to look after too. Any hints & tips any of you may have would be really useful

Best go sort some lunch for him and collect him from nursery. Take care all.

BTW Lyra - my phone's been playing up - been trying to text. Hope you & yours are all ok. E-mail if you like bjt (dot) holistichealth (at) fsmail (dot) net

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 11/10/2007 18:41

Hi Iris - just wanted to say a big fat GOOD LUCK for 25th. Fingers crossed that all goes ok. Will be thinking of you.

Chuffed - any news?

Tickle - did actually clear out Moo and Libby's room's over the weekend and then haul everything to charity shop. Also boxed a lot of Moo's stuff up for Libs next year. And found 3 pairs of trousers that forgot I had in storage box under bed. Re-hemmed them and hey ho, new clothes for winter!!!!

WTWTA - Oooooo, Iris just jogged memeory about your wedding. Spill the beans. Dress, ring, venue etc etc

Weekend sans kids and DH lovely. Hair and toes looking gleaming. But tummy rather extended now after gorging on spicy beef taco's and all manner of sweet stuff . Can't even pretned to hold in gut so smock tops are out of storage again! Only 6 weeks in and already look like 'who ate all the pies' lass!!!!

xx

ForcesSweetheart · 16/10/2007 23:24

Hi everyone
Not been on mumsnet for ages, as I've hardly been home since passing my driving test a couple of months ago. Andy's still out in the gulf, another month to go, and about a week or so after he gets back I'm going into hospital for gastric bypass surgery. Lola's still a wee doll, but driving me nuts with her lack of speech. I know I need to just chill and it'll come in time, but I can't help being impatient.
I hope everyone's doing well. Best of luck to those of you soon to join another new baby thread! Once my surgery is out of the way and the rapid weight-loss period starts to slow down we'll be back to trying for number 2.
Lis x

Chuffed · 24/10/2007 08:00

Well I am certainly 'high risk' and there was no question of me being anywhere else. They basically scared me silly with talk of dead/too early babies and really I'm not going to be able to do any planning until they are all born and OK.

We love the new icancy pear and was thinking of this plus a sling but my worry would be if ds had a tanty being just over 2 I wouldn't be able to just pick him up and remove him as it would probably hurt the sling baby.

Am going to join the multiple birth society here as well and get hints etc from other mums of triplets. There are a two sets that just literally live around our suburb.

dd hasn't got too many words but chatters away like we understand the lot. Lots of things are 'no' and he loves anything with wheels. No thrown on the floor tanties yet but I intend just as I did with dd to pick up throw over shoulder, walk pushchair out with child over shoulder and she always settled down when removed from the situation.
As for the ridged body into pushchair, so know where you are coming from, if you haven't already try, can you click this one in for me - might work for a while.

Have had the flu for the last week so feeling very sorry for myself with 3 x the hormones, flu and have only just really been able to get out of bed.

iris66 · 25/10/2007 20:12

what's happened? we've lost a load of posts?!!!

Anyhoo (to coin a Georgie word ) just to let you know that Elliot made his debut appearance at 8.27pm yesterday after a 2hr 40min labour (that stung a bit!) but I was able to get away with no insulin/induction drips and so could move around loads (though don't think DH was over impressed at my rugby hold of his head and bellowing in his ear as I was kneeling on the bed ). Suffice to say it was a really positive experience .
Elliot is just like Dom to look at but fairer. His nibs was decidedly non plussed when we got home (did all he could to avoid looking at him) but did kiss him tonight before bed which was a very lumpinthethroat moment. I feel fine and dandy and hope you're all ok too (intrigued as to where those posts have gone......) take care irisx

lyra41 · 28/10/2007 19:56

Huge congratulations Iris. What fab news, and the labour sounds like a breeze too ! Has dd met him yet? Hope bf is going well and that you're bits and bobs are recovering by now!

I'm off to hosp next week to have a little op to repair the damage my little bruiser did to my bladder, so I hope it goes well. I'm having my urethra "taped" into place with some artificial pelvic floor muscles. Nice eh? So if you had any stitches, I'll really be able to empathise with you as I'll have a few of my own on Thursday! All being well that will be the end of wetting my pants at every opportunity. Sorry if tmi.

lyra41 · 28/10/2007 19:57

oops, I mean your bits and bobs

Tickle · 28/10/2007 22:15

Congrats Iris and welcome to Elliot Fantastic birth by the sounds of it. I'm sure Dom will get used to him being around in a while...

Good luck on Thurs Lyra - you'll be back trampolining in no time

I'm getting all excited as I'm off to England, on my own on Weds... for a week. Yay! We have had another offer (at last - 2 have fallen thru) on our cottage in Cornwall, so I'll go down there for a few days to do the garden, and otherwise I shall be a lady of leisure visiting friends and family. Oh, and probably cursing the M25.

love to all
T xx

Chuffed · 29/10/2007 07:06

Congrats Iris and welcome to Elliot. Dom is probably used to him being around already!

I hope you are not feeling as 'sore'.

Good luck lyra, I'm sure that once this is done it will be so nice to not have to worry about needing to go to the loo.

No news to report here, people are just being amazing, we have been offered a cot from someone who has finished with it if we want it, someone else dropped around a triple baby jogger today. I have had a few people just send me little wee newborn naps made of yummy fabrics. I feel utterly spoilt

I worked our city's parent and child show on Sunday at the Totsbots stall and was paid in nappies, I got a bamboozle in every colour - made my weekend how sad it that.

Chuffed · 29/10/2007 07:07

ooohhh and enjoy your trip Tickle, I hope that this time the offer holds but you get lots of relax time!

spookykitty · 29/10/2007 07:40

Many congratulations Iris and welcome to Elliot (thats my boys name is we ever were to have a boy) sounds like a good labour too

Chuffed - wow you are doing well and I love being paid in bamboozles, your going to need a good supply! My friend has a triple jogger too, huge but I think necessary for out and about.

Georgie - hope you enjoyed your pampering day

FS - best of luck with the surgery your a brave girl, don't worry too much about Lola not talking yet, A was the same and I was getting a bit worried, but it all seemed to come at once for her and now she never shuts up.

Lyra - best of luck too with your surgery hope it's not too bad for you xxx

Not much to report around here, T doing great still thinks she 3, never stops chatting away including singing which is very funny. No news on the ttc front either AF due around Halloween but I don't think it's our month, getting a bit frustrated as I got pregnant straight away with the last two, I don't like waiting!

Tickle · 29/10/2007 12:26

sk - T singing reminds me of this Sunday - we braved church with all the children, as dd1 had had a sleepover with the scouts, and they were presenting paintings etc as part of the service.

Anyway, dd2 (who is 3) - after running up and down the aisle endlessly, waving to the congregation - was to be heard at the end of the last hymn... continuing with the danish version of 'Happy birthday to you' in clear tones!

FS - It'll be lovely to have dh home again. Congrats on passing your driving test! Bet that makes a world of difference

And chuffed - people can be so lovely By the way, can you use motherease wraps at all? I have a few that still look like new - otherwise any of you other girls are welcome... I'll happily post them to see them used.

Also have plenty of tots bots in various sizes & colours that I'm happy to give away... some are almost new looking, some a bit tired! Ditto fleece liners actually. Let me know if you need anything and I'll dig it out - we have definitely finished with newborn sizes now!

T xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 29/10/2007 18:08

Really really quick message to say CONGRATULATIONS Iris. What a lovely name. Am so pleased for you. Was in labour for 2 and a half hours with Libs so know how it feels to have the little blighter shoot out of you .

Loads of love to you and yours.

Must dash. Got to bath kids and then off to movies with bezzer mate to eat own weight in Revels

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 01/11/2007 12:07

No easy waay to say this. Had a scan yesterday at 8 weeks and found that the baby had died. Am going into hospital tomorrow for d and c as didn't want to wait for things to happen naturally. Feel horrible. Very dazed and very sad. I think I probably knew on some level that it wasn't 'right' because I never felt as pregnant as I did with the girls. Just want to get through this as best I can and get back to normal.

I had really thought that after my miscarriage before Mollie, the cervical cancer and all the tests and invasive operations that I'd had my fair share of bad luck. It doesn't make it any easier that one friend in due in 2 weeks and another in 3 weeks.

Not looking forward to the next week or so.

iris66 · 01/11/2007 15:52

Oh Georgie I'm so sorry for your loss I'll be thinking of you tomorrow(((((((((hugs))))))))))). Take care of yourself lovely.

sweetkitty · 04/11/2007 14:32

Aww georgie so so sorry for your loss, if it's any consilation I think you are doing the right thing going for the D&C, I had a natural mc and it was pretty hard going especially with 2 other LOs to look after. Physically you will heal fast the emotional stuff takes a bit longer, I plunged myself into ttc again. Take all the time you need though.

Doesn't seem appropriate right now after Georgies news but I will tell you all anyway I got a BFP on Wednesday. Am scared stiff though and not letting myself get too excited. If this one sticks I will be due in July, A will be 4 and T will be 2 1/2.

Iris - hope everything is going well with your new little man too x

OP posts:
Chuffed · 04/11/2007 21:54

I'm so sorry Georgie. I think you will be due another pampering but I'm really sad for you.

Congrats Sweetkitty! Lots of sticky vibes coming your way.

Tickle - I could use anything and everything I can get my hands on! Can I put some money in via paypal for postage at least! you could email me at n levien at hotmail dot com (taking out spaces).

The twelve week scan all went well for us on Thursday except it took all afternoon to have a scan and see the obstetrician and physician. The scan was booked at 1pm and we left the hospital at 4.45pm. We were not very happy to put it simply. I think I have felt the two closest to the surface moving yesterday too. We had two that were wiggly and one that slept the whole way through the scan so going by dd and ds that means 2 girls and a boy but we'll see.

iris66 · 06/11/2007 14:42

Georgie - I assume you're back home and resting now. Been thinking of you and hope you're getting lots of love from DH and your beautiful girls

Chuffed - I've loads of tiny wrap over vests that have never been worn (Vertbaudet ones - too small for any of my lot)if you'd like them you're very welcome - and it'll save me having to bung them back in the loft forever!

Sweetkitty - congratulations! I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Take things easy

Tickle - are you sure you're not going to have another? - you make it all seem such a breeze. A friend of mine has just announced she's expecting No 5!! (4th was a happy accident) I nearly passed out in shock

Lyra - hope your op went well (I'm envious already of your bionic pelvic floor ) I sort of forgot all about the exercises this time and nearly gave birth to my bladder last week . I spent a morning in bed with Elliot (I'd sort of been overdoing it on the cleaning/rushing round ) and did lots of flexing and it all seems ok now thank goodness.

ForcesSweetheart - congratulations on passing your test!! No stopping you now I'll bet! And on the final countdown to DH's return too - brilliant. You're certainly having a busy end of 2007 with all that and your op. I do hope that works out for you too. Good Luck.

Thanks for all your good wishes about Elliot by the way. Dom can't stop kissing him and calls him "bebe Lellia" (his speech has come on loads since Elliot's birth!)They're both really good and although Elliot's now decided that night time is his awake time he's as good as gold during the day and we hardly know he's there!

I'm supposed to be sorting Christmas prezzies out whilst DH has taken Dom to get the car fixed (the product of some rather expensive, hormone fuelled, internet shopping sessions just before having Elliot ) so best get going. Take care all x
