nutella I was watching magnums and vienetta being made of course!
In seriousness I work for the company that make them but in head office so it's just about seeing getting to know about the business etc. It was fascinating though.

MrsNutella · 19/05/2016 21:38

Wreck oh no! Which toe? I did break my little toe last summer. It was agony! And I kept bashing it on stuff. Oh it hurt! You have my sympathy!

WL I want to come and work with you, do you get to eat magnums alllll the time???? Wink how is work? You sound more relaxed. Are things starting to settle down a bit for you?

DS is super cute. He is a huge pain in the arse but he must be growing or something. He is shattered at bedtime and falls asleep mid story. I love to watch him fall asleep. He fights so hard to keep his eyes open. I out on my best gentle reading voice just for him or I rub his back Grin I love him.

WLmum · 19/05/2016 22:10

Ah nutella! Making them cute and sleepy is mother natures way of making us forgive all the daytime crap!
Actually I do get free ice cream - mostly Ben and Jerrys though - there's a free ice cream bar open every afternoon! Work is much better now thank you. It's manic but I'm enjoying it and feeling like I will make it through the learning curve rather than keep sliding off! Because I'm feeling better I'm starting to trust my own judgement again, which of course makes work easier and so becomes a circle of positivity. Right now I'm feeling very lucky that my boss believed in me and gave me another crack. She's a gem.
geoffrey I thought you were making a joke! Hope you're not really injured.

WLmum · 19/05/2016 22:12

T was v cute at bedtime - she asks every day if it's a mummy day tomorrow and on Thursdays I can finally yes. So she said and the morning after 'yes' and the one after? 'Yes'. That's 3 days!' I was pretty impressed!

MrsNutella · 20/05/2016 10:00

WL so glad work is going well for you I'm not going to mention the jealousy free work ice cream bar makes me feel.

I've just splurged on crocs for the kids. Super summer back up shoes.

WLmum · 20/05/2016 10:05

nutella crocs are awesome! Mine wear almost nothing else in the summer.
T was not so cute last night - getting out of bed 5 times ! Dh took the 5th hit after some rather fruity language from me. I'm doing a midnight walk tonight too in aid of the local hospice (where dm has treatment). This weekend will mostly be brought to you by coffee and sugar.

MrsNutella · 20/05/2016 12:49

Ok he was probably cute because he is poorly Confused

He was quiet and still you know, like a normal childWink and really out of sorts with a slight temp, so I took him to be Dr. Even the doc commented on how quiet he was.
They took a bit of blood - from a jab to the finger - and checked it out and then prescribed antibiotics. Then we went for a quick shop. I promised DS chips because that was what he really wanted. We ended up going to the McDonald's drive thru for chips after DS was sick alllll down my back. Because he was in the carrier on my back....

So that was interesting and more than a bit cold.

WL good luck with the walk!!

WLmum · 20/05/2016 13:34

Yuk nutella. Hope he feels better soon

MrsNutella · 20/05/2016 14:14

He said afterwards that he felt much better and he was still asking for chips Confused. I decided it was easier to buy them and make him happy, even if he didn't eat them. He did though.

He says he is "all better now". He has had calpol and first dose of antibiotics.... So fingers crossed he is ok for now.... But I need to pick up DD in a minute.

WreckTangled · 20/05/2016 14:56

Both mine live in crocs in the summer

Barbeasty · 20/05/2016 19:51

Really glad you made the right move and work is going well WL

Hope the toe is ok Wreck

Congratulations on the move Hales

Hope DS is better Nutella and that your evening has been ok.

A is so single minded. Tonight he wanted a 2nd ice lolly. When I said no, he went and got several child deckchairs and stacked them to reach the top shelf of the freezer.
It's just constant. Along with still hitting and biting all the time.

WreckTangled · 20/05/2016 19:58

It's my little toe. I think it's ok.

I booked Disney on ice tickets today for Christmas. Ticketmaster is shit it took me all day to do it!

Glad you're enjoying your job now WL.

MrsNutella · 20/05/2016 21:34

Wreck fingers crossed that it isn't broken! I broke my little toe last summer. It hurt, really, really hurt. I could not wear any kind of closed shoe.

And wow, you booked tickets for Christmas?! It is my niece's birthday in a few days and I still haven't asked what I should buy for her Confused

beasty hahaha! Sounds like the kind of thing DS would do.

DS has figured out how to work the telly and various remotes. He managed to find Chuggington on you tube on the telly today [facepalm] when he learns to read I will no longer stand a chance.

His temp went up late this afternoon. Then this evening he really seems quite poorly. He didn't really eat much dinner, he didn't even eat the ice cream I offered. He wanted to go to bed Sad but in my bed. So I took him up, changed him, got him a teddy and tucked him in. He was asleep pretty fast. FX he feels better in the morning. and isn't too sweaty during the night

WreckTangled · 21/05/2016 07:04

Hope he feels better soon Nutella! I know, I wouldn't book it so soon but they were released yesterday. Why do they have to go on sale so early?!

WreckTangled · 23/05/2016 06:54

We're off to the IOW today. Ds is excited to go on a ferry. We will be waving to goat Smile

GeoffreysGoat · 23/05/2016 10:46

Waving back, Wreck

WLmum · 24/05/2016 21:40

Have fun tangled

MrsNutella · 25/05/2016 20:25

DS was finally fever free today. Hurrah! We had new antibiotics on Monday because the first ones were really having no effect.
So, hopefully back to Kindergarten tomorrow Smile

WLmum · 25/05/2016 22:43

Yay to a cool mini nut

halestone · 25/05/2016 23:07

Have fun Tangled.

Yay to DS feeling better Nutella.

So we have completely moved home now and i have started actually working as a taxi driver and i love it. It was DSDs birthday today and she loved it except for one moment of nastiness from you know who which made her cry. We soon had her laughing again.

WLmum · 26/05/2016 10:10

hales that's fantastic! I love that you love your new job and all is going so well.
I took T for her pre school booster jabs this morning - she was so brave, not a squeak. But now she's refusing to lift her arms from her sides so I'm having to hold her reward lolly pop for her to suck!!

MrsNutella · 26/05/2016 13:56

DS is much better today more painful himself. Although still a bit worn out by being ill.

Hales glad you're all moved. I hope it wasn't too stressful! And yay to the new job. I need to figure something out. But at the moment I am slowly doing a giant sort out of the crap we don't need house. We have a charitable company thing coming next week and I'm trying to get some more boxes together of stuff they can have.

WL well done to T for the jabs. We went back to the doc on Monday and when they told DS they needed to take blood again he really freaked out - screaming really loud that he would not do it and he wanted to go home. Once they had actually pricked his finger he was fine and happy to watch.

WLmum · 26/05/2016 20:25

Well, she had a great time at swimming and it was lovely for us to spend some quality time together but then she was a giant pita for the rest of the day! I think her arms were a bit achey and she was a bit freaked out by it. Poor souls.

halestone · 27/05/2016 12:44

Its horrible i was scared of needles when i was younger.

I handed my notice in, in the chippy last night. Turns out i am pretty rubbish handing my notice in i ended up agreeing to stay until she found a replacementHmm

Nutella you will feel so much better after a sort out. I feel like we have started again fresh and its lovely. I just have to stop hoarding things now.

WLmum · 28/05/2016 21:43

hales you are just too nice! How about working for the next 3 weeks (assuming your notice period is 4 weeks) and if she hasn't found anyone you fix a date in another 3 weeks that you're done.

Poor T was really poorly the night after her jabs - really high temp which made her sick. One of her arms is still really sore looking and she's really sensitive about her arms now and will only wear long sleeves and cries about going in the bath. Normally o wouldn't care about skipping baths but they've been playing in the garden and getting absolutely filthy. The tape is still in her arms (I managed to removed the cotton wool from underneath) and it's starting to irritate her but too sore to pull it off. I smothered it in baby oil tonight so hoping that will lift it.
