I did but lots of faffing about so didn't get to work until after 1pm! Stayed a little late but took this morning as holiday :-(
Still better today than tomorrow en route to our school families camping trip! 15 year 1 families!

halestone · 12/05/2016 22:35

That sounds like it will be a laugh WL.

We're moving home tomorrow i'm excited but we're not sleeping there till Sunday night as that is when all our big furniture os arriving.

WLmum · 13/05/2016 09:32

hales what have I missed?! Moving home from where?

GeoffreysGoat · 13/05/2016 19:24

I've missed it too, sorry!

MrsNutella · 13/05/2016 19:51

I think it's a move to a nearby house that is the same, same area etc but less money per month. Hales?

And how is everyone? It's another bank holiday weekend here (the one you have at the end of May which frankly would be better )

WL hope DD had a lovely birthday and slept well in your bed.

DD has another cough. And a bit of a temp Sad I just want a day off. But I also need a kick up the Arse to help me find my motivation.

GeoffreysGoat · 13/05/2016 21:31

Ah sorry. I'm utterly rubbish at keeping up despite reading daily to see how you all are Blush

I have new hair, want a fb pic?

MrsNutella · 13/05/2016 21:46

Really, do you have to ask goat?!

It was my birthday last week but I was feeling poorly so I didn't make myself a cake. I have now rectified that. I made myself a giant cookie Grin it is amazing! I'll post a pic in the morning the only problem is it is huge and probably a little bit unhealthy

halestone · 14/05/2016 07:53

WL, Nutella is right we are just moving from the bottom of the estate we are on now to the top. We still have so much to do before our big furniture arrives tomorrow. I have to stop today to take H to a party between 12-2pm.

Goat, i would like to see your hair please.

Nutella i would also like to see your brownie. Did you make it using your blender?

MrsNutella · 15/05/2016 14:09

Hales it was a giant cookie... It is all gone now oops soooo yummy.

DS is driving me nuts today. I don't know what is up with him. He is whining and moaning about everything and just generally being painful, naughty and then crying loudly and very insincerely when I say no. Lots of shrieking and sobbing and then he is distracted by a bird or something flying past the window and he stops. Then remembers again that he is upset about something so he screams an wails some more until he remembers.

I think he is tired and that is why he is a bit extreme today but I really cannot be bothered to deal with him. I want to walk out and spend the afternoon on my own somewhere quiet. Sad

WLmum · 15/05/2016 16:18

Oh dear nutella. Countdown til bedtime. I'll join you in the tired painful children after a weekend of camping - lots of fresh air, fun and late nights!

MrsNutella · 16/05/2016 15:23

WL it gets worse.... It's a bank holiday weekend. So they are at home today too. Thank god it's bedtime in a couple of hours. I've had enough. I should really get a very early early night too. I'm shattered. I have really had enough.
We didn't make plans for this weekend - DD was poorly Fri/Sat so we would probably have cancelled most things anyway. Confused

WLmum · 16/05/2016 21:29

Poor you nutella. A good nights sleep will work wonders - I was in bed at 8.55 last night and asleep by 9.15. It was amazing!

GeoffreysGoat · 16/05/2016 21:57

((((Nut))))

R has been vile today. Spent 4 hours in bed fiddling with a car, not napping despite obvious exhaustion (he does 1.5+ hours still) and crying with tiredness. I eventually got him up for tea to be told he'd been hungry. Ffs if he'd fucking well said that he could have had another fucking biscuit instead of all the histrionics!!!!

MrsNutella · 16/05/2016 22:10

I really should have gone to bed earlierConfused

I think DS is having some kind of growth/development. He has been pushing and pushing allllll weekend and it has totally ground me down. I'm also not in a great place myself at the moment. I am definitely missing my mojo and am being really lazy at finding it Sad I need to be busy and I'm just wasting time at the moment.

Right. Bed time. Good luck everyone!!

WLmum · 16/05/2016 22:43

Oh no nutella I hate feeling like that. Can you make sure to plan some r and r time for you when the dc are back to nursery, or sort a night out? A change of scene usually helps me. How do you usually find your mojo when it's gone awol? Swimming really helps me - I love water and the rhythm is very soothing. I belt out a few lengths of crawl if I'm all bent out of shape and then settle into a breaststroke. Or a few hours in a coffee shop with a good book helps me to feel a bit more human if I'm all touched/talked out.

MrsNutella · 17/05/2016 08:11

WL thank you! Those are all really good ideas! I am just sorting/hanging/putting away washing and hen I might go to my favourite coffee shop and chillax for a bit Grin
Sorted a friend to come over tomorrow and then... Perhaps swimming on Thursday? I really like the sound of that not liking the thought of me in a swimming costume but well, that's not what's important.

I am really looking forward to DD going to the same place as DS next year. She will start in the summer after she is three. It will be so nice to be able to walk them both there and drop them off! Simple things.

And, we saw some men working on the road outside KiGa this morning. It was nice that I had time to stop and watch them with DS. I'm going to try really hard this week and be positive.

So, tell me something lovely about your little ones please! Something they do, something they said. SmileFlowers

GeoffreysGoat · 17/05/2016 08:23

R trying to have crawling races with S. Ready... Steady... Oh! He's not moving! As the baby sits there giggling at the funny shouting his big brother is doing

WLmum · 17/05/2016 23:11

Go for it nutella!
My funny is not T but dd2 telling me that at school they are growing radishes and hives for the parents to eat at the banquet on Thursday. Not so funny was coming out of school with 3 pals, all have no buttons on their cardigans - having been forcibly removed for some 'project'! It actually was quite funny so I couldn't be too cross.
A T funny was when we were camping at the weekend, it was chuffing cold at night so I had my sleeping bag pulled tight with just a little peeking hole - I woke up to Ts little fingers pulling it open and then sticking a little grin through Grin

WLmum · 17/05/2016 23:11

geoffrey that sounds v cute - I hope you've videoed it - what lovely memories.

MrsNutella · 18/05/2016 07:00

Haha! Super cute! Love the crawling race and the buttons GrinBlush

DS and DD often help each other out. This morning DS got the muesli out of the cupboard and gave it to DD to put on the table Smile they are a good team when they want to be then DS does something like take his doll back from DD just to annoy her

WLmum · 18/05/2016 18:08

So today for work I went to an ice cream factory!

WLmum · 18/05/2016 19:37

nutella I'm bored on the long drive home (don't worry I'm not driving!) so browsing Pinterest and found this and thought of you and your baking exploits!
pin.it/u8TMwCU
Yum!

MrsNutella · 18/05/2016 20:54

WL that's perfect! I love it thank you. CakeGrinFlowers

MrsNutella · 18/05/2016 20:55

And I'm glad you were not driving while looking on Pinterest.

What were you doing at an ice cream factory?

WreckTangled · 19/05/2016 20:45

Oops sorry I dropped off the thread. I think I broke my toe. Either that or I'm a wuss.
