I might horrible and haven't introduced April Fools Day to R. It'll be s Sunday next year so he can hear about it at school!

MrsNutella · 06/04/2017 20:28

Yeah, I usually forget April fools. And my kids are super literal like I can be so it would be lost on them or they would just be confused as to why I did something senseless to confuse them Grin

WLmum · 11/04/2017 06:07

After a lovely week off I'm back to work today. Boo. Hope everyone else is having good weeks.

MrsNutella · 11/04/2017 08:15

Wl it's only a four day week though, not alllllll bad! Wink

I have a job offer. 45 hours a month for 450€. Bit of proof reading and some marketing for a tech data-warehouse start up thing. It's kind of a low price for a native speaker, (for the proof reading I mean) but I think I'll take it. I can work from home, the hours are really flexible. One day a week in the office and who knows, in future possibly more money.

PurplePidjin · 11/04/2017 14:20

Boo indeed wl

Congratulations nut

WLmum · 11/04/2017 19:23

Great stuff nutella, well done to you! It's a great start, and as you say, who knows where it might lead.

MrsNutella · 12/04/2017 18:55

Has anyone put the dc in a room together after they have had their own room? DD can now climb out of her bed so we need a new solution for her. I think they would like to be together.... of course I could be wrong...

WLmum · 12/04/2017 22:31

We did with the big 2 when T came along. It was absolutely fine. Bunk beds are super exciting! That said, dd1 was slightly older but still only 5. We had a rule that beds were private space and you could only go on with permission. There were times they loved having each other and giggled themselves to sleep and other times they weren't so keen but that's just part of siblings.

PurplePidjin · 13/04/2017 18:51

S went in with R a couple of weeks ago, although he's still in the cot

Barbeasty · 13/04/2017 21:14

We had them in together for a bit, but A would wake DD up when she fell asleep before him. He still plays far later than she stays up. He's awake in his room now.....(although to be fair he did sleep for a couple of hours in the car today!)

Happy Easter lovely ladies! Easter Smile

MrsNutella · 16/04/2017 09:32

Happy Easter everyone! Easter Smile

Thanks for all the sibling bedtime stories. I'm pretty sure it would be the pits for 7-10 days but then it might work out.... or not. I've yet to convince DH.

PurplePidjin · 16/04/2017 21:46

S goes in asleep after boob in our room. He seems to sleep through R's shenanigans although still wakes at night (luckily briefly)

WLmum · 17/04/2017 22:10

Has anyone tried evening primrose oil or starflower oil for pms/sore boobs/hormone balancing type stuff?

MrsNutella · 18/04/2017 07:35

I've tried evening primrose oil for dry skin and I'm sure it helped.... but I always went for a higher dosage (I think up to 6 capsules a day of the 1000mg ones...) can't remember a difference for pms symptoms Confused sorry. Not really helpful.

Poor DD is full of cold and has a nasty cough. We are at home watching hey Dougie Grin
DS is at kindergarten ahhhhh nice and quiet here.

PurplePidjin · 18/04/2017 14:18

Hope everyone got an acceptable school? First choice here was catchment school which we got but tbh apart from having to get the car out for others there wasn't much to choose unless I'd really wanted one of the tiny village primaries

Barbeasty · 18/04/2017 20:00

It looks pretty positive on the Fb group. I popped into the uniform shop on my way home this afternoon and got him his own tie for school. He keeps taking DD's, but was really pleased to have his own. Also asked about the smallest jumpers they do- could be interesting!

I want to see the generalised data now though, to see how big the class is likely to be. It's 1 class intake of 30, but DD's class has never been over 28 and is mostly 26 or under.

PurplePidjin · 18/04/2017 21:03

Yeah, I wasn't sure if everyone was on both I've forgotten who's who sorry Blush

WLmum · 18/04/2017 22:25

Wow beasty we have a 3 x 30 class intake!! Lucky T will be starting school with pals from pre school, her cousin and the little girl next door!

Barbeasty · 19/04/2017 09:06

There are a couple of schools local to us with year groups of 8 and 6! The smaller one has an infants class and a junior class- people sometimes do whole school parties! I think I'd find that suffocating.

We're very lucky here that there are more places than children and whilst people might not get their 1st choice if it's wildly popular, most people will get something they're happy with and we really do get a choice (to some extent!)

Barbeasty · 19/04/2017 09:08

And A's preschool, which is on site but not part of the school, said they have something like 22 children hoping to go to the school this year. So he'll know loads of people, unlike DD who didn't know a single person.

WLmum · 20/04/2017 20:22

Omg ladies - I think I'm having a midlife crisis!

MrsNutella · 20/04/2017 21:10

Is it a hot young lover? Or a non child compatible car.... how mid life and how bad a crises? You know.... just for info I'm not bored

WLmum · 20/04/2017 22:33

Haha nutella I wish it were either or both of those! Just a bit 'is this it?' Feeling old and past my prime, not sure what I'm working towards etc. It's such a first world problem - I am so lucky to have a lovely family, a crap job that pays enough and a nice home etc.

MrsNutella · 21/04/2017 19:08

A hot young lover appeals to me.... although I'd also be happy with a few undisturbed nights with DH and no DS. The chance to wake up naturally, on my own, is almost my current ultimate fantasy....

Anyway..... where were we?
Ah yes. A bit stuck. I can understand that. Especially after a nice holiday going back to everyday realty can be a bit boring.
If you could change one thing, what would it be?
