Kids fingers nutella!

MrsNutella · 01/03/2017 07:27

WL you're probably right! Bleurgh.... I wish you hadn't mentioned it now. Dirty little so and so's!

Barbeasty · 01/03/2017 13:04

Try googling blepharitis. DD used to get sticky eyes (not conjunctivitis) all the time when she was little. We called it a natural consequence of rubbing food in her eyes when weaning.

Beasty I hope it isn't that. Although it's not serious that would be really irritating.

I am hoping it was just a reaction to my contact lenses. It felt like I had a really sore itchy eye ball and there was goo. But my eye wasn't swollen. It's better now. So I'm make up free in my glasses for a few days until it has gone completely. There hasn't been much more goo fortunately.

I'm sure everyone wanted all that detail about my eye goo didn't you?!

A had his preschool boosters this morning. He watched both injections go in, without flinching or reacting in any way. Strange child.

WLmum · 05/03/2017 12:02

Welcome back WL Wink

DD lost her 2nd tooth today. She managed to swallow it, eating a banana! She was so upset, but has written to the tooth fairy apologising and asking if there's any chance she can still.have the money.

Beasty dd has lost nine or ten teeth ShockGrin (they're the same age aren't they?!) she swallowed one of hers too, luckily the tooth fairy still left her some money Wink

MrsNutella · 05/03/2017 20:08

Beasty that's adorable that she wrote a letter! How old is DD?

There is a giant 5 year old at KiGa who has lost a few teeth and she lost one at DS's birthday party too. It freaked me out! At first I thought DH was telling me that DD had lost a tooth and I was about to seriously lose it because he seemed really calm Confused

And now DD has a sick bug. Please send me strength, washing powder and anti bac wipes. She was fine until she was in bed. My poor baby!

Barbeasty · 05/03/2017 20:15

To within a month I think tangled. She lost her 1st on Tuesday and this one has been really wobbly since. She was terrified about the blood that came out with the 1st and wouldn't do anything to get the 2nd one out.
She calmed down when I told her that naughty fairies get sent to the sewage farm to find all the swallowed teeth!

Haha beasty that's amazing I love it! Dd's best friend hasn't got a single wobbly tooth, she's very sensitive about it.

Oh no Nutella I wish you luck over night 😷 we don't seem to suffer with sick bugs luckily. The dc do suffer with coughs and viruses etc but not that. Last time they had a bug everyone had it apart from me but before that it was a good three years ago we had one.

WLmum · 05/03/2017 21:37

Just shows they are all different - dd1 is nearly 10 and has only lost about 6 teeth. Dd2 is nearly 7 and has k key lost 2. All mine were late to get teeth as babies though - one of dd1s pals had the whole set when she only has 2! I've heard it follows - late firsts set, late 2nd set.

WLmum · 08/03/2017 20:16

Cor, can't get a word in edgewise here! Wink

MrsNutella · 08/03/2017 20:22

It's crazy.

WreckTangled · 08/03/2017 20:33

I don't have much to say...

Had macdonalds for breakfast. Should have though as I'm getting fat.

MrsNutella · 08/03/2017 20:50

No me neither.... except that I am so bloody tired! But that's not new. Smile

PurplePidjin · 09/03/2017 19:03

I'm on weight watchers. It's utter bollocks but I don't want to waste NHS money so I'm doing my best

WLmum · 09/03/2017 20:58

pidj are there real health consequences to your weight or just making sure they don't occur in the future? I've been doing quite a bit of strength exercise which is great but need to get back on the cardio and stop the biscuits again.

PurplePidjin · 10/03/2017 20:48

I've got 3 stone to lose, and despite some serious MFP efforts it wasn't shifting. I weighed the same 16 months post partum as at 8 months pregnant despite a decent diet. I also had thyroid etc checked, but they haven't been in touch so i guess they didn't find anything untoward. Tbh I've taken up running which is far better for me (all I've learned from weight watchers is to use mayo not butter and cut the crusts off my bread!) But I'll try anything at this point

MrsNutella · 10/03/2017 21:16

Pidj I'm with you! I hated WW. I found ended up obsessed about food and not in a good way because I was having to track it alllll the time. I am also about three stone overweight and for some reason I'm heavier at the moment than I have been in a really really long time.

I'm hoping it's a lot about hormones and needing to move more and etc etc etc. I'm trying to cut down sugar and I'm sort of doing 16:8 most days which I actually find really easy. (Fasting for 16 hours eating for 8, so only eating between 12 and 8pm for example) although I haven't lost weight yet...

WLmum · 10/03/2017 23:53

What's MFP?

WreckTangled · 11/03/2017 07:43

My fitness pal. It's a calorie counting app.

I think it's easier in the summer too.

I find I lose weight when I stop snacking
