Thought I had better start a new thread as the old one was about to crash

Happy 30th B'Day kbaby Wish I was 30 again but then I suppose I wouldn't even be married let alone have a house to live in or my 2 precious children. Whoops-going all sentimental now, better go!

Taking DD1 to her dance class Christmas Party so got some sarnies to be getting on with.

Happy Sunday

Us - that's nice, your birthday is really close to Zack's, so you could maybe add 'wedding anniversary' to the July dates as well! My birthday's in July too - the 27th so not the same as yours, that would be TOO spooky ! Happy 7 month birthday to our lo's tomorrow!

DS is still unwell. We went to the emergency gp on Tuesday night as his temp was 40c and we couldn?t cool him down. The GP said its still just a virus and to try and get calpol into him.
It seems that his temp peaks at 11/1am and if I try and give him calpol then he brings it back up so last night at 12pm his temp went to 40c so I stood in the garden with him and then opened the back door wide and sat next to it until he cooled down enough for me to give him some calpol and then wait until that worked in order for us to go back to bed. I just feel so sorry for him as hes soo miserable and obv fed up.

Iamblos- It?s a lovely area and great beaches. I don?t know what its like to live there though as ive only been there on hold occasionally. For me it?s a bit too into wales iyswim There aren?t any big places for shopping and stuff.

Hc ? ive just bought enchinacae in a hope to stop getting colds. And with the fish oils we squeeze them into dd?s yougurts or but the milk with them added.
Us ? how old is zack to be crawling already, what a clever boy- ds is only just sitting and then loses his balance if he loses concentration. And a big congratulations on your engagement.

Right must go as DD is complaining shes hungry and the naan bread i just fobbed her off with isnt working.

prettymum · 15/02/2007 21:34

skay- so sorry to hear the news {{{{hugs}}}} for you and your family

kbaby- {{{{{hugs}}}}} for your ds!! hope he does get better soon!

usandnosleep- congratulations!!! its sooo sweet! dp keeps asking me when are we going to get married?? maybe when you get down on your knees and ask me??

why cant babies just be born with bloody teeth??? junior is suffering terribly before bedtime and them teeth are adament not to come out! he screams and chews on his fingers, rubs his cheeks and ears and ends up slapping himself!

but the control crying is working, only took 20mins for him to fall asleep at 8pm and still sleeping now when normally he'd be up by now watching telly with us!

who has wireless here because we need it and dont know how it works?? im with toucan and am looking to change. please help us choose!!

well better get off and tidy before ER comes on, missed the 9o'clock one!

Evening girls

Just back from my slimming class, lost 1.5lbs this week so a total of 2st 3lbs so far (i think).AF arrived on Monday so have had to go to the doctor for pills to delay my period in April cos i'd have it on my wedding night otherwise.

Eilidh had her 3rd and final set of jabs today so thats her for a few months thank goodness.Have been weaning her this week, she is loving mangos, guava, peaches, plums and strawberries.Hates sweet potato, carrot, brocoli or any other veg.Hmmm oh yes she likes packet brekkie cereal too.I can tell this will be a very long drawn out process.

Eilidh can't sit up alone or roll and hates tummy time.Dd1 was exactly the same and didn't crawl but bum shuffled for ages then crawled at around 13 months, she also didn't walk until she was 17.5 months so i see similarities between the girls already.

Dp and i got each other cards for Valentines this year.He had planned a romantic meal for two at our local Indian(yumyum)but i don't want to put weight on this close to our wedding so we cancelled.Wasn't feeling very romantic with AF here anyway.Ds1 wanted his dad and i and him and his gf to go out on a double valentine date.Bless

Usandnosleep, great news, tis great fun planning a wedding. Will let you know if Gretna is a fab place after we are married, you could go there lol.

Kbaby,Eilidh was spiking temps over the weekend and i pkoned NHS 24,said it was viral, she is fine now so hope not too long till DS is ok.

Skay,what awful news(((hugs)))

Anyhow off to bed now ds1 is in from snooker. Have a good night all xxx

IamBlossom · 15/02/2007 21:42

Kbaby, thanks for that, I think DH has gne off the idea, thank god!! For now anyway...

BeadMum, Toby has milk between 4-5am, so i don't give milk at breakfast, only mid morning, mid afternoon and before bed, although he sometimes won't drink either the morning or avo one. As long as he gets at least 20 ozs in a 24 hour period I don't worry. He is eating really lumpy stuff, his fave is a whole avocado mashed with a fork with a whole large banana!! I was in a hurry today and didn't mash it that smooth and it had loads of really big lumps in it and he was totally unfazed! He will also eat a Heinz biscotti biscuit with no problems...I am postive DS1 wasn't eating lumps like this at 6 months.... He followed hs avocado and banana mash with a Little Stars yog ( also got that offer, better than petit filous I think), boy this kid can eat....

DS1 dry at night now, So proud!! My big boy.

Didn't go swimming this week again. Must try harder next week.

Hugs Skay. Sorry for your troubles.

Bloss

SleepIsForTheWeak · 15/02/2007 22:52

Hi all,
I dont have time to read any of the posts
I feel like I am missing out on all the goings on!
I did see a "Congratulations!" tho - glad there are some happy events going on!
We have been sich and S has started teething, so back to newborn days of little sleep grrrrr.
BUT we are off to Cape town tomorrow!!!
yahoooooooooooooooooooo!
DH going to be in South Africa with us for 3 weeks then he returns, and I will stay on with my family for another 3 weeks. It is going to be so weird not having each other around.
Haven't finished packing, am finding it really hard.
I was to take all DS's favourtie toys, clothes etc and I feel quite sad to be removing him from his comfort zone, daft I know.
Anyway, will try log in whilst on holiday and catch up then, sorry I have been so scarce, haven't managed to fix my laptop yet....

hope everyone's colds have gone too!
x

usandnosleep · 15/02/2007 23:38

Thanks everyone I'm very excited!

LOL F@F That would be spooky!

Kbaby- Hope your DS is better soon. Zack isn't great at sitting he forgets and topples forward.

Pretty- Teething is awful isn't it? And its only just begun!

Agalch- gretna does appeal to me, seems so romantic and of course there is the added bonus that our families wouldn't follow us there

Bloss- Wow! toby is doing great with his food, the slightest hint of texture and Zack spits it out and then refuses to open his mouth again!

Sleep- have a fab fab time xx Will you be online at all whilst you are away?

Hello

Thanks KZ i think thats what it is.
Sleep - have a great holiday so

Us - congats!

Pictures time! hehehe i have been looking forward to this, so you must suffer...or just not bother looking, but please do!

here they are funny-ish

I have managed to clean the kitchen a bit and my room which was quite an achievement, the most shameful bit was that there was dust on the ends of Jakes cot i am such a poor housekeeper.

does anyone know about links to damp and athsma? my house is pretty ridden with it, in the kitchen and where all of jakes clothes/toys/everything are stored, there is no other room for it.

Thanks, and i hope everyone is ok and the poorly babes get better soon x x

Ceebee74 · 16/02/2007 11:30

Koshka - those photos are fantastic. Jake is gorgeous and seems such a smiley happy baby. You must be so proud of him.

KZ - how intriguing about you and your DP.......you little tease Glad you are having a great time and that both your lo's are having a good time.

Sleep - have a good holiday - enjoy!

That thread about PFB's and the things we do is hilarious - I notice a few of us have posted on there - glad it has only taken us 7 months to realise the error of our ways

prettymum · 16/02/2007 12:23

koshka- wow, how big is jake and he looks soooo gorgeous!!

kz- whats the story with you and dp- go on tell us, we wont tell no one!!

maewest · 16/02/2007 12:30

What a gorgeous little lad Koshka, beautiful smiles

usandnosleep · 16/02/2007 12:45

Great pics Kosh He is utterly gorge!

Ceebee- I love that thread

KZ- You have to tell now! Very intriguing! It sounds like your dc have had a ball, will be good to have you back though

AnnieOleTing · 16/02/2007 14:13

Us CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great news! And well done young Zack! I love the way you tell us all your news first, like everyday stuff, and then sneak the proposal in there at the end!!

Koshka, absolutely gorgeous pictures. What a cutie Jake is, you must be so proud of him, and rightly so. Hope you feel better soon.

Now, KZ, sorry, but you have to tell us now.

Sleep, have a good holiday

Beadmum, I'm with you on the in-laws, happy not to see them for months (if ever). When they do visit (far too often) I feel like taking the babies off somewhere so they can't see them. But that's just in my head...
Hope it works out.

HC hope you're getting better.
You too Bloss, hope that tooth stops hurting all by itself.

Well, Kayley's not been sleeping at night very well still. She must have got through two bottles last night, and then hardly drinks much during the day. But this morning she had some of DS's weetabix, and opened her mouth for it and everything. Then she rolled over and ALMOST crawled!! She was reaching for something in front of her, and she did get to it, so I suppose she's tummy crawling. How proud...

Well have a good day and a good weekend everyone.

Annie

HumphreysCorner · 16/02/2007 16:15

Afternoon ladies

You have been busy today

kayzed-what, what, what????????????? We do need to know DD1 took all afternoon to drink one cup of juice being as though I had squeezed the fish oil capsules into it. Have done the same today-bad mummy Interesting article-thank you.

agalch-more pounds lost. Brilliant!

Sleep-hope you have a super time. Also hope time doesn't fly by.

kosh-can't get over how confident Jake is.

Sophie woke twice last night. My cough is much better so able to sleep a bit at night. I haven't squeezed my spot like someone we could mention-Us

Sophie is nose diving all the time as she is reaching for things further away. Gets fed up of being on her tummy and yells. Means more sick on the carpet though. Wonder how long it will be before she crawls. It makes her tired aswell.

Got my payslip today-a whole £20 which is a Mortgage Subsidy payment. Won't even pay for my haircut-ho hum!

Better go and think about tea for me and DD1 as DH is going to be late again so tea is off for him!

Byee for now and hugs to all.

Annie Thank you! Weetabix wowee, Kayley wants to be all grown up like her brother! Zack won't take anything off a spoon unless it's completely smooth and very sloppy.

HC- It looked sooo hideous I just couldn't help myself Gross though I know. I bet Sophie crawls really soon all that frustration spurs them on.
£20 Don't go mad will you?

I have found another meal that Zack likes, butternut squash, chicken and apple. Mind you it's just as well because I went a bit mad and there are cubes and cubes of the stuff in the freezer.

Zack has a cold, he slept for nearly 3 hours at 10am this morning and he has been asleep since 3.30 now too. I wonder what tonight will bring?......

IamBlossom · 16/02/2007 19:51

Evening girls. Busy today then!!

Hi KZ, great to hear from you, what a great time you are having...what's this about DP?? What is everyone going on about, I didn't even see a reference to him in your post! Eh? Wha??? Little Stars are Muller fromage frais, 100% natural ingredients, suitable from 6 months, and are now my yog of choice for both boys. They still need two of them mind.....

Thanks for best wishes about my tooth, tres annoying, not too bad to actually eat or anything, just giving me these headaches, and I can feel it when I run IYSWIM, which I do alot retrieving DS1....

Koshka. Jake is totally scrummy. Fact. What gorgeous pictures! Toby smiles all the time except when a camera is pointed at him..."Mummy! I know it's you, but get that thing out of the way so I can be sure...." Jake is a vertitable poser!

back to being good next week, no wine, no "one for Toby one for Mummy" spoonfuls, no finishing Harry's fishcakes etc etc. Got a wedding and a 60th birthday coming up in the next few months and need to be svelte and ravishing....well, ravishable anyway...

Have great weekends my lovely mummies.

just wanted to say hi to everyone. too tired to catch up on this thread ATM! There's always so much to catch up on. Chloe has a tooth on the top but you can only feel it not see it! She isn't sitting or rolling yet, and barely eating! Oh well, I'm sure she'll get there.

I did an hour and a half of Davina's exercise DVD yesterday and have been totally aching all day today.

Sorry can't catch up with everyone's posts. I don't spend as much time here now I have discovered isketch

Everyone slowly gwtting better here, and our kitchen is done - mind you i still have a huge pile of stuff from the kitchen in my sitting room that hasn't found a home again yet.

Leo is wheezy again witht his cold. Not majorly so, but still a wheeze.
