Thought I had better start a new thread as the old one was about to crash

Happy 30th B'Day kbaby Wish I was 30 again but then I suppose I wouldn't even be married let alone have a house to live in or my 2 precious children. Whoops-going all sentimental now, better go!

Taking DD1 to her dance class Christmas Party so got some sarnies to be getting on with.

Happy Sunday

Some new piccies of Aidan:

last week

a few weeks back

action shot (the lurvely sofa belongs to the holiday cottage btw)

action shot 2

I might find a different site to display these on because when I preview they show to me as being quite small and pixellated - Aidan sometimes looks a bit odd and he's gorgeous really!

Loving everyone else's pics. Aidan doesn't get too messy now when he's eating, thankfully, but a couple of months back was a different story here

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 21:15

OMG Twinkle - he is adorable!

My piccy is a bit blury, but shows her standing for the first time. Was taken when she was 6.5 months, it was the very first moment she stood up on her own 'helping' me

Twinklemegan · 24/02/2007 21:19

Thanks Pavlov. Can't believe your DD could try to stand at 6.5 months! Like HC I think it's highly unlikely Aidan will crawl by the end of this thread, let alone stand! He's enjoying propelling himself around by rolling at the moment.

IamBlossom · 24/02/2007 21:22

there is not a hope in hell of Toby crawling before the end of this thread. fact.

twink, Aidan is bee yoo tee ful, what a cutie.

IamBlossom · 24/02/2007 21:25

just sitting here thinking, my BF will be lying inher hospital bed, still numb down there, bleary eyed, mildly aware of a small sqeaking pile of blankets in a bassinet next to her, needing lip balm, wanting a cuppa, wondering if she'll ever feel her legs again, with all the leaky boobs, leaky bits and walking like John Wayne to ocme. let the fun and games begin! welcome to the club my darling.

xx

HumphreysCorner · 24/02/2007 21:26

Twinkle-they are lovely pics

Bloss-congrats to your friend. My MIL said the same as you about the bedding. But all I did was go into House of Fraser and pick a Sanderson duvet cover, bedspread, base valance and 2 patterned pillow cases. Then HOF own brand 2 fitted sheets, 2 flat sheets and 4 pain pillowcases and she said £398 please. Had to pick myself up off the floor

Grrrhhh at your DH-I think all our DH/DP's graduated with the same 'How to be a prize tosser' degree!

Doh-why did I say crawl? I meant roll! Of course she isn't going to crawl as she hasn't even rolled yet. She is far too happy sitting and reaching for things.

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 21:35

LOL she didnt try to stand. She did stand, and now, she does it all the time, stands in her cot yelling when she wants attention 'prisoner cell block I', has a Winnie the Pooh train that she 'pushes' along, sort of takes a step, does knee wobbles, then again! She does mostly crawl tho, just found the hallway from the living room today when I turned my back. The stair gate is going up tomorrow!

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 21:36

I wish my LO had stayed still a little longer, she ignored most of the newborn toys we got her, gymini gyms? Waste of time. She was not interested in batting things, she wanted to be mobile. I needed more time!!!

mistypeaks · 24/02/2007 22:01

H'lo all.
HC - WOW a mention!! And I thought you had to be a troublemaker to get mentioned!!!
Bloss - how gorge is he!?!?! Well cuute
Pavlov I know what you mean about needing more time. My dd1 was the same, she was never satisfied to be a baby. Batting mobile toys? PAH she whacked them and pulled them until the gym dissolved!! She was walking (properly) by 9.5 months and hasn't sat down since!! At 21 months she's just like a proper little girl, dressing dolls, taking them for walks in her pram, feeding them with her lunch etc. She draws holding her crayons with a proper grip - truly she terrifies me. She can undo the stairgates!! Which really really scares me - although she never really does it - she closes it behind me and waits until I come back downstairs and 'lets me' back through!! dd2 is the total opposite - she's only just rolling, not really eating huge amounts of solids. She seems to like being a baby - which is good for me!!
And I hate to say this but I am tosser free in the dh stakes!! Mine has just cooked us a lurverly chilli (hand ground spices and all!!). Mind you he has openly admitted he's trying to fatten me back up. . . . He can be a bit cack sometimes though (he still doesn't know where the babies' clothes are - even though they've been in the same place since we had them!!!

Twinklemegan · 24/02/2007 22:02

Sorry Pavlov - it's just Aidan't so far off that I couldn't quite believe I'd understood right. Mind you, KZ's Roshi is standing too come to think of it.

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 22:06

Twinle - needed an exclamation mark on my comment, it sounded harsh (prob with mail eh?) when it meant to be more 'I cant beleive it either'...I shall try to be more eloquent with my typing! LOL

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 22:14

...and I shall start by spelling your name right Twinkle

Twinklemegan · 24/02/2007 22:14

Oh Pavlov I wasn't put out or anything!

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 22:23

Twinkle - dont mind me hun, I am feeling oversensitive today. I had a cloudy head, teary day. You ever get one of those?

Twinklemegan · 24/02/2007 22:25

All too often me dear - I drive DH to distraction sometimes!

Pavlovthecat · 24/02/2007 23:13

babalon · 25/02/2007 00:34

Hi you all, Long time no type!!!!!

Can you believe it Logan is 7 months on fri and is one of the youngest!I'm back to work monday I'm so nervous Not worried about babies reaction but the rest of family life caving in on me.

I can't keep up with washing and cooking as it is but not being at home 3 days per week 8 till 6

Went out tonight and came back to find a newt on the lounge floor!!! wtf!

Anyway Logan is sitting up, feet are great considering, boots and bar 16 hours a day. He'll go to anyone and trials at nursery have gone well. He sleeps and eats so no complaining from us. However I've got Logan and his cousin wed and thurs in four weeks time (so any advice looking after 5 and 7 mouths old babies gratefully received (plus 10 year old girls hormones r us)

Hope you r all good I 'm trying to keep up to date.

Love babalon dd ds1 and ds2

Pavlov- LOL at your dislike of asda.
Agalch ? I am amazed that you even managed to get up and do the DVD after all that wine.
Ceebee- I love your pic of Josh.

Were lucky as MIL looks after DS 4 days and im sure he gets far more attention there than home as MIL seems to have more time to spend playing with them. Im a bit of a cleaning freak and find it impossible to sit down and play.

Pavlov- What a mess! But she looks like he had fun. I cant believe that she is crawling and pulling up. The dress is lovely but £64 I think its worth more than that. Heres a picture of my wedding if you fancy a look. Plus it just gives me an excuse to show my wedding piccies.
We got married in Vegas. piccies of us all

Madness- What a mess your poor dc, no wonder they are a bit unsettled. Hope you sort the childcare out soon.

Get you HC no one ever remembers me. In fact I tend to kill most threads
Iamblos- congrats to your friend and all on gas and air, well done.
Hi Babalon.

PavlovtheCat · 25/02/2007 10:58

Thanks for chart Kam - I will plot her old stuff at some point on it, see where she fairs, but as you say, right now I have tried to stop worrying as she is a perfect little girl. She luaghs, giggles most of the day, although now gets upset when I take something from her. Like I just slapped her or something! BUt that only lasts a few seconds, she stands, takes a few steps, and is a joy, so she cant be starving.

I ahve just reduced the no of cups of coffee I am drinking her day, too many and with BF think it might be affecting LOs sleep, as someone suggested in another thread, I want to see if it makes a difference. So far, 1 (large) cup of coffee since 6am. I am desperate for another one, but will make a white chinese tea instead, I shall have a coffee after lunch.
