Thought I had better start a new thread as the old one was about to crash

Happy 30th B'Day kbaby Wish I was 30 again but then I suppose I wouldn't even be married let alone have a house to live in or my 2 precious children. Whoops-going all sentimental now, better go!

Taking DD1 to her dance class Christmas Party so got some sarnies to be getting on with.

Happy Sunday

Evening ladies

Feeling grot again and have lost my voice-it is really sore especially when I'm 'trying' to shout at DD1. But of course I am carrying on as usual.

kosh-sounds like you had fun in the snow. No snow in Lincolnshire-boring! Those damned Banks are all the same wanting to bring the Bank Drs and counsellors in. When my friend was in a raid at a sub-branch she understandibly didn't ever want to work down there again so the relevant people were brought in to see if her fear was genuine or not. Tossers !

Sophie awake at 4am this morning-doh!

Going to attempt an early night. Have bought some brand new bedding so can't wait to jump in and go to sleep.

Hugs to all.

morning girls!

No snow here either, just lots of rain! Much to dd1 + dd2's dismay (and mine too). I love snow!

Sorry to hear your'e not feeling well HC. Hope your'e not feeling too bad this morning.

Well the sickness still continues, dd2 and Jazz have eye drops for conjunctivitus (sp).

And Jazz is snotty and quite hot this morning also. But on the up side I think I have my second wind. I dont feel so low, tho still quite tired.

Happy birrthday for weds Bloss! Hope you had a fab day and were well and truely spoiled!

Am looking forward to mine on monday. My mum is making me a baileys and maltesers cheesecake, cant wait! You should c her cheesecakes they are totally fab.

Well have a good day, am off to dream about my cake!

prettymum · 09/02/2007 09:38

morning ladies

pinkdolly- your poor little ones, hopefully this is a sign that they will be ill-free when theyre older, theyre just getting it all over and done with now [smile

not much happening here, we got snow yesterday, today its just damp and horrible outside. and i have an annoying spot on my bloody nose!

im gonna go and feed myself and have a nice mug of tea, have a nice day everyday

Lysettes · 09/02/2007 10:10

hi everyone

sorry for the constant rants about DH! am over it now, think it was just a bit of a patch i was in! am now just teary at anything the least bit emotional, which is odd for me too, but at least it's not angry any more!

it's grey here today as well, but not very cold, which is something.

off to run last minute errands before we fly on sunday night

have a great day everyone and hope you're not feeling too poorly HC

Beadmum · 09/02/2007 11:05

Morning Ladies

Not been on for ages so trying to catch up on all the posts.
lovely pics everyone, i will have to figure out how to post pics and put some on

Glad you had good birthday bloss, thats how old i'll be in june too. meal looked yummy (would you believe i was vegetarian for 10 years until i was pregnant )

Pink- that cheesecake sounds sooo good hope your girls are better soon, you just are not getting a break from it at the moment

hc - hope you feeling better too

only had little amount of snow here yesterday, same again today.

charlotte still not sitting by herself, she can for a few mins then loses her balance

really annoyed with my pil again although i dont like seeing them often, they have not bothered to visit charlotte for 3 weeks now. we sometimes only see them at weekends but if they are busy should they not make the effort to visit her one evening? they only live a 5-10 min drive away and mil has to pass along near us on her way back from work. im really annoyed at them as they are the ones who said they moved back here because they wanted to be closer to family ( they decided this when i was pregnant) its making me so and dh is very upset they are being like this and we think we should speak to them next time we see them. can i have some advice please, are we being unreasonable?

sorry for huge post, better go get some cleaning done i suppose

have good day everyone xx

Hey all

Pink - I am drooling at the thought of that cheesecake - save some for us Glad you are coming through the other side of the sickness(es)

KZ - lovely photo and look at that sun - you lucky thing!! poor Roshi - fingers crossed that the lump is something and nothing.

HC - hope you are feeling better soon.

Beadmum - aren't families difficult - particularly IL's! Although I would be happy to see my MIL as little as often, I can see that it isn't fair on your DH.

Me and Josh can't shift this cold we both have - it has been a week now and I am constantly blowing my nose and wiping Josh's!

His feeding seems much better at nursery - I wonder what they are doing that I am not doing! he apparently ate a huge bowl of turkey casserole on wednesday!

Gave him a breadstick on wednesday night whilst we were out for tea - he loved munching on it so maybe the BLW is the way to go.

Still no sitting - plenty of crawling though which I think is why he won't sit - as soon as you try, he throws himself backwards, rolls onto his tummy and is off

AnnieOleTing · 09/02/2007 13:23

Happy Friday Ladies!

Hope you are all good. We were snowed in yesterday in North London. Well, we could have gone out, but it would have been very difficult to get to work on them trains. Just as well it was my day off. DH and DS were out in the garden building snowmen ('no-man') and throwing snowballs and me and K at the window. Great fun had by all.
Trouble was, DS woke at 4.50am this morning and wanted to go and play with the snowman again. The snowman was still asleep though, so I got him back to bed (DS that is, not the blessed snowman), but only for about 20 minutes more, then he was up for the day...

K did well last night, only woke once for a quick feed. She's still scratching her head off, quite literally. Her forehead is covered in scratchmarks. Poor little thing.
Still not eating much either. Loves watching us all eating though.
She's sitting very well, and usually ends up on her tummy when she's lying flat, so she gets about, though she's not properly crawling yet.

KZ are you seeing the paed in London or in Oz? I hope Roshi will be fine, she's so gorgeous, I'm sure it's nothing. LOL at her helping herself to a glass of milk!!!

Beadmum, I don't think you're being unreasonable regarding your PILs, but then I'm quite anti-PIL and wish mine would butt out!

Pink I hope you and your girls are better soon. And you HC!

Bloss, sounds like you had a lovely birthday. Belated birthday kisses to you!

Koshka, you make me laugh too!! Keep it up girl.

Best go, lots of looking busy to do before I can sneak off early...

HAve a good weekend everyone

Annie

AnnieOleTing · 09/02/2007 13:45

well, whaddya know. It works!

Annie

Ceebee74 · 09/02/2007 16:39

Annie - what gorgeous photos and how well is your DD sitting up - fab!!

prettymum · 09/02/2007 18:12

anne lovely pics, thats exactly how junior sits and plays with dd, its lovely isnt it!

Ceebee74 · 09/02/2007 19:25

The sweetest thing today - when I unpacked Josh's bag from nursery, there was a valentines card in it that Josh had made for me - it had 2 little paint handprints on the front - I am nearly crying now just thinking about it.

I know it was naive of me but I really hadn't realised how rewarding it was to be a mum!

IamBlossom · 09/02/2007 20:53

aw Cee, it is lovely when they get them to do stuff like that - it only gets better, it's great at Christmas time when you have kids, brings all the meaning of family back into it.

Hey KZ - glad you are aving a good time, LOL at R getting up to get a drink. Fingers crossed for the paed visit. Can't believe she is cruising already! I know she has a month on Tobes but he cannot sit, at all yet, he can roll over, but doesn't.....He has three meals, 4 8 oz bottles a day, one at approx 5am, and will sleep in the car or buggy if we are out, but if home for the day i am lucky to get 2 x 20 minute kips out of Toby. He is totally cream crackered by 6pm and usually falls asleep on his bottle, but if he sleeps through till 5amish I don't really mind. If he got unbearably whingy through tiredness during the day (like DS1 used to be and still is)I would insist on more sleep in his cot upstairs, but if DS1 is around for him to laugh at and play with he is happy as Larry!

Pink glad things are finally looking a bit better although at conjunctivitus....I want your cheesecake it sounds divine....Aquarian like me then eh?

Annie, check out Kayley sitting up! Fabulous.

DS1 has been a completely different child this week to last couple....a few tantrums but nothing at all I can't handle, and generally a very good boy! Wonder why....

Out for dinner tomorrow night with friends to celebrate my birthday. They are both pregnant, so i will try not to gloat over my mussels and booze....at least their other halves can join me in a toast.

Bloss

kbaby · 09/02/2007 22:50

The birth one isnt a very good pic but it makes me chuckle as I still look high on gas. And Blos are you sure you were looking at the right ones?
Kayzed- behinds DD?s angelic face is a monster!! And roshi looks adorable and very summery.

Im peed off as I have yet another cold. This is my 3rd since xmas and my 2nd in 3 weeks. I am fed up of having colds. Weve had loads of snow here yesterday and again today which was lovely apart from the fact that it took me 2hrs to get home from work on what is normally a 20 min journey due to huge accidents and everyone leaving work at once ina panic.

DS is getting better at sitting up now and screeches so loud. Hes also working to get to toys out of his reach and has a right paddy if he cant get them. He loves paper and poor DD cant understand why she cant keep giving him paper to suck on while im not in view. She also gives him the most oddest of things to play with, yesterday it was her shoe he was sucking in his bouncy chair.
Annie your DD is sitting so well.
Ceebe your card sounds lovely, how thoughtful of nursery to do something like that.

HC ? pmsl at your knitting pattern.
Koshka- I know whay you mean about other peoples humour. I bought DS some medised from chemist on Tuesday and the phamasist said ? to warn you it could make him drowsy? to which I replied ?Yes that?s what im hoping? she then just glared at me not getting the joke.

Ohh baleys and maltesers cheesecake that just sounds devine.

KoshkaAndJake · 09/02/2007 22:56

I know...there is an old lady (one of many) on my street and when I go to the shop for the Sunda paper she always asks where he is.

I say hes in the coal bucket/shed/in the kitchen with the knives and she gives me a scared look every time...

i have whizzed up some spag bol tonight for him tomorrow..hope it is ok, I am going to the pub tomorrow with my boss from work and some of my 'team mates' - I have never met any of them in the 5 years I have worked there, fun!

Jake is now rolling like a loon, and he has taken to falling asleep mis play, on his front. I wouln't mind but the floor is freezing and I already have him in a fleece hoody that his uncle bought him, he Looks like a baby ASBO.

I am sure he is just passing out from hyrothermia but he seems happy so I just put a blanket over him and go for a cup of tea.

FirstAtForty · 10/02/2007 14:10

Hi Girls

Koshka ? lol at baby ASBO, that?s amazing that he will go to sleep on the floor - make the most of it! Emma has a fine collection of hoodies now too, I figure she needs them to keep her baldy head warm!

Kayzed ? enjoy the rest of your holiday, hope the sun?s still shining Sweeeeet pic of Roshi in her sun hat! Emma has a lump under her nipple too, just a little bump and the nipple is slightly swollen and bluish. I mentioned it to the doc yesterday but she didn?t seem concerned, said it was probably hormone related because I?m bf. Will be interested to hear what the paed says about Roshi.

Annie ? gorgeous pics, it's so lovely when they play together.

Bloss ? hope you had a good night out, your beef recipe sounds lush, might have to try that one

Ceebee ? how lovely about the card!

Beadmum ? might they be staying away to give you some space? I guess if your dh is going to speak to them about it then it might be a question to ask, easier that saying ?are you staying away just to be awkward?? Or could you visit them (less tidying up to do, you can choose when you leave)?

Lysettes ? have a great holiday!

Pink ? have a lovely birthday on Monday, and enjoy your cake! Maltesers, mmmmm

Well big news here is that last night she slept through for the first time since about November, from 9pm ? 8am with no dream feed Possibly due to being stuffed with three meals yesterday, the last one being Hipp Organic Lentil and Veg bake (with extra Ready Brek) at about 7pm (could the HV be right about solids after all She has eaten that late before, but it?s only recently that she has been eating significantly large amounts I suppose. She?s also in her big cot now, and has settled well in her own room, it?s been about 3 weeks now. I?m off to make industrial quantities of lentil based baby meals in the hope of repeating the effects!

Have a good weekend all xxx

Wallace · 10/02/2007 19:23

lol kosh, that made me giggle. Leo has fallen asleep in his highchair a couple of times. So cute becuse when he wakes up he carries on eating as if nothing had happened

Wallace · 10/02/2007 19:25

how come only the beginning of my post is there? Odd I will rewrite the rest later...

HumphreysCorner · 10/02/2007 19:44

Ladies-fed, fed, fed up with being poorly. This is the 3rd time in 3 weeks so sympathise kbaby.

Hope you are having a nice weekend-will catch up when I feel a bit more human.

HC chin up lovely

last minute preparations today before we go, forgot there was still so much to do!

lol everyone!

Ceebee74 · 10/02/2007 20:43

Lysettes - have a fantastic holiday

kbaby · 10/02/2007 21:29

Koshka- I would do anything for DS to just fall asleep mid play.

How much solids is everyones lo?d eating? Ds is prob eating about half a yogurt pot full of food and 3 bottles of 5ozs. I thought is appetite would?ve grown by now.

FirstAtForty · 10/02/2007 21:54

kbaby - I've upped the solids from 2 meals to 3 over the last 2 days, but each meal in volume has probably about 3oz worth (quite sloppy with added water). Food has been fruit and veg puree, thickened up with baby rice or Ready Brek.

I'm keeping off dairy because of her bad reaction to formula.

Don't know exactly how much milk, but I'd estimate about 20oz as it's around 6 bf's and I think she takes about 3 to 4oz each time.

FirstAtForty · 10/02/2007 22:18

Am now panicking a bit though as have just realised she had less milk today, so am now paranoid about breastmilk drying up (which might be problematical as she has been very sick on formula each time she has had it, and now refuses to drink it)!
