Thought I had better start a new thread as the old one was about to crash

Happy 30th B'Day kbaby Wish I was 30 again but then I suppose I wouldn't even be married let alone have a house to live in or my 2 precious children. Whoops-going all sentimental now, better go!

Taking DD1 to her dance class Christmas Party so got some sarnies to be getting on with.

Happy Sunday

I always forget something!

Summer holiday - hoping to go abroad (Lanzarote maybe) in September but not sure our finances will run to that so just waiting for the moment. Also, a bit uncomfortable about taking Josh abroad - though I am sure I will get over that for 2 weeks of sunshine!

maewest · 06/02/2007 21:26

DS loves sitting, but no real rolling (will occasionally try to roll on his side when I'm trying to change his nappy).

Have had a bit of an outbreak of manflu here as well, DH was in bed most of the weekend then had yesterday off work. Altho tbf he is sleeping in the spare room tonight as he has to be up at 4.30 for work tommorrow morning and doesn't want to wake me up, bless.

Haven't got a holiday booked, we are skint at the mo (had last mat pay packet in Jan, v small, sob) so prob a week in Cornwall is about a limit.

ImpyChica · 06/02/2007 21:33

Poor HumphreyC - you need a holiday big time. Hope you at least get a long weekend away somewhere nice...

Good to hear everyone elses' plans. Like the sound of Thailand Lysettes and no, I don't blame you for not doing cartwheels about in-laws coming... But at least they can baby-sit every night and you and DH can go out for romantic meals? Accentuate the positive is what I'm about!

Just been for Ry's seven month check up and the doc reckoned Ryan weighs 10kg (22lbs) which I find hard to believe! Think Ryan must have had a super wet nappy on. That would mean he's increased a kilo in one month. Suspicious. (Doc also said Ryan's the happiest, nicest baby he's met - but I'm sure he says that to all the Mums!)

Have a great birthday Bloss!

Man I'm sooooo tired. Doesn't make sense - Ryan's been sleeping pretty well of late. I should be full of beans. I'm off to get another early night I reckon....

kbaby · 06/02/2007 22:21

Iamblos- how comes in your photos you look so bright and clean, not sweaty and knackered like I do. Happy Birthday
Prettymum- I wish I had one of me bf
Looking back at all the preg and newborn pictures makes me feel very broody and also as realistically I know ds is the last but I just sooo love being pregnant.

Really tired today as DS has got into the habit of only waking once a night now but last night woke at 10.30 and just would not settle, he ended up in bed with me at 2am but was still wriggly and has been a bit grumpy today so I hope its just his teeth.

Twinkle- I love your 5 months pic with you both on the settee.
Ds is sitting but still very wobbly and cant be left alone.

Were off to barcelona next month with parents and brother and sil. Lots of baby sitters and then a summer hol probably in September depending on the finances.

I hope this link works for you all.
I apologies in advance of the dreadful birth one. He was 2 minutes old, theres some bump ones there also.

here

or try this
other go

heres the email address if it still doesnt work

kbaby · 06/02/2007 22:23

and yet another link. I will get this working if it kills me

try again

Twinklemegan · 06/02/2007 22:29

Yay - I can finally see your pics kbaby. Your birth one's lovely . I like that pic of us on the settee as well - so unusual to get a good one of us both at once.

maewest · 07/02/2007 07:53

Happy Birthday bloss Thanks for saying nice things about the birth photo (I have a first feed photo too but it is appalling, tiny new born head and acres of huge white saggy boob, shudder, that's never seeing the light of day).

maewest · 07/02/2007 07:55

Finally saw your pics kbaby - the birth one is lovely! That wonderful 'look what I made' expression . Hmmmm.... broody feelings maewest? get a grip girl...

KoshkaAndJake · 07/02/2007 11:54

hey guys.

Happy birthday Bloss!
I am the same as you, it has been years since I went on holiday (since I was 16 with my dad it was so horrific I cannot even remember what happened, or where I went!)

Me and the ex are pretty much back together, after several hours of the light-in-eyes interrogation about the lass I thought he was shagging, he doesnt really go out any more and his phone is broken and has no money for a new one so thats a real shame!

He's been reall attentive and nice and really good with jake, thay now have all of their baths together, about every 3 days.

Weaning going badly I just cant get a grip of it...poor baby.

Mother and baby group is ok, they have taught me how to knit!

Have been having really sexy dreams about a guy I used to work with...its strange as I didnt think i fancied him so i am well confused! What do you guys think? Might start a thread about it just so I can have a laugh.

Jake has started rolling ovewr most of the time to get to places, and i am not too sure how long it will be till hes crawling, he likes to seek out all bits of paper so he can eat them...does newspaper have any nutritional value?!
Lost 2.5 last wek and 1.5 this - nearly lost 1.5stone and 10% of my body weight!
Better go, the washing machine is beeping and jake is freezing on the floor!

Thanks for reading my epic post!

Sam x x x

PS. Gorge pics everyone

prettymum · 07/02/2007 15:55

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOSS!!
hope you're having a lovely day!

lovely pics, but couldnt see all with my stupid computer!

just sitting here waiting for dp to come home with some onions, made some lovely lamb curry the other night, having it again tonight- i miss my mums cooking sooooo much!

kosh- glad things are getting better for you, hows work?

kbaby- love the pics of your bump with your dd-beautiful- wish i had done that!!

better get off, dd bumped her head and looking for attention!

Lysettes · 07/02/2007 16:07

happy birthday bloss!

koshkaandjake i have been having sexy dreams about my old boss, who i most definitely did not fancy !!

jacob back on pureed food today after the sickness bug - buternut squash was hoovered down at lunch and he's finally started having fewer bif milk feeds - around 200ml each one now which is much better than he used to be doing!

he isn't sitting very well - keeps wriggling around to loo kat things and losinghis balance, but loves rolling - not too good getting from his tummy to his back though!

watch out for the snow tomorrow everyone - apparently the whole country's going to grind to a halt

FirstAtForty · 07/02/2007 16:20

prettymum - just a thought re the pics, have you tried clicking on the same link again later (sorry if you have)? There were two or three of the recent lot that I couldn't see first time because it said I wasn't logged in (Photobox ones), but then when I clicked a few minutes later it worked - no idea why!

IamBlossom · 07/02/2007 19:39

I is Birthday girl! Hic. Hi everyoe. Drinking pink champagne. Wot a lovely day I have had. 3 cards this morning, one from each of my boys, (well done DH....didn't get a cuppa tea with it, but let's not be picky here...), and they sang me Happy Birthday, DS1 said "Mummy Happy Birthday, I want a cake and some chocoalte and a party please" Bleeeeeessssssss Then did some retail therapy with my best friend, who is on maternity leave, while DS1 was in nursery, so just took dreamy Toby who doesn't know how to cry. Bought some jeans and a top and didn't even spend any money on them as had vouchers from Chrimble. Then went mad in Primark on clothes for the boys! The this avo went to Mr Sainsburys to buy the makings of my birthday meal which DH is in the kitchen cooking as I type, a Jamie Oliver steak and Pak choy number, my mouth would be watering already if it wasn't full of pink champagne! Hurray!

Thank you for all your Happy Returns girls.

KBaby, I love you pictures, you are a very pretty lady.

Kosh, great to hear from you, I reckon you'd be a scream to have a night out with, your posts are always so deadpan. I am glad your ex-ex is being attentive, bit concerned he only bathes every 3 days however....does he self clean? He is lucky to have you, glad he has finally realised it....

Lysettes, boo hiss on the PIL sitch. I thought a NZ followed by a Thailand joint sounded too good to be true and lo and behold.....it is! As has been said, make the most of the baby sitters....Or, tell you what, you go to Challaborough Holiday Park, and I'll go to Thailand with your inlaws.....good, glad that's settled.

Toby eats puddings. Full stop. Rejects all my carefully pureed mixed veg the little tyke and waits expectantly for his apple and pear, mango and rice, strawberries peaches and cream, etc. If he eats, I am happy, don't care what it is.

Hmm, snow tomorrow, how am I supposed to go to playgroup? Weather has no thought for SAHM with kids to entertain.....will have to make a snowman or summink...

Bye for now!

Bloss, 32 years old today.

IamBlossom · 07/02/2007 19:40

FirstAtForty · 07/02/2007 20:11

Bloss ? tee hee! Glad you?re having a lovely day ? reckon you should order yourself another Birthday pink champagne ? AT ONCE!

HumphreysCorner · 07/02/2007 20:53

Evening ladies

Happy B'Day Bloss-glad you are being looked after.

kosh-hey, things are looking up for you by the sounds of it. Heck, I am often dreaming about other men but having to stick with the one I've got even though I'm lucky if he has a bath even once a week Tis my biggest bugbear.

kbaby-hurrah, have seen your pics at last. They are lovely-so, so wish I had some bump pics.

Think a few of us are getting broody looking at these pics.

Can tell snow is expected as the shelves seemed bare in Tescos. Need to get DD1 to nursery tomorrow for a touch of peace

Have a sore throat coming on again-really hope I'm not going to be poorly again.

Take care and hugs to all.

happy birthday!

LOving all the pics, brings back those wonderful emotions

been getting our kitchen done so not been home much, almost done now

Lysettes · 08/02/2007 09:36

bloss - it's a deal! you can have my FIL who is still convinced that I know how to do nothing to care for jacob..... [grrrrrrrr emoticon]

it's snowing here - but not settling. jacob still not over his bug completely and dh has put the stop on us going out today by saying "I think you should seriously consider whether you and jacob should go out as it's very cold out there and i would hate for it to make him ill before we go away". so basically it will be my fault entirely if we go out today and jacob happens to sneeze before sunday night (which he's bound to do) so I'm back p'd off with DH. poor guy he can't win at the moment! not that he helps himself - I'm not supposed to go out with jacob today and dh is tossing up whether to go to fancy restaurant tonight with work (but not a serios serious work dinner) or come home earlier....

any ideas ladies on how to sort him out?

KoshkaAndJake · 08/02/2007 14:56

Bloss he does have showers aswell! But he is quite clean...cough...

HC - PMSL!!! how funny are they!

It's snowing here too and I went to the local shop to buy nappies and when I came back the road was all pure virgin snow so I went mad the the pushchair, doing 360s and wriggleing it! It was so much fun!

Have now caught up with all the washing - Just got to iron shitrs -ggr- do not iron anything else, unless i am going out (which is never!)

Pretty - works rubbish, I have been signed off and now i have to see a doctor employed by the bank to prove ive got PND.

Better go _ bloss - glad you 'get' my sense of humor, it doesnt go down too well with the happy-clappy baby group leader!

maewest · 08/02/2007 19:15

Know what you mean with the sense of humour thing Koshka - other people take it all so SERIOUSLY. I jokingly said to my NCT group 'oh, but we videoed the birth, d'you not want to come round and watch it', and they all believed me . Spose it's my fault for being the hippy homebirth one...

Tiny bit of snow here, but all melted really quickly. Think I have DH's lurgy (which means DS may have it too). Crappy night last night, not much sleep all round.
