Thought I had better start a new thread as the old one was about to crash

Happy 30th B'Day kbaby Wish I was 30 again but then I suppose I wouldn't even be married let alone have a house to live in or my 2 precious children. Whoops-going all sentimental now, better go!

Taking DD1 to her dance class Christmas Party so got some sarnies to be getting on with.

Happy Sunday

So many hreads ive lost who said what
Love the pics blos. I used to take one every month and then at 8 months I had some done by a photographer as I knew it would be my last pregnancy. If I remember ill post a piccie.

Weve started on carrot purres and today we are doing 2 meals a day plus introducing apple, hes still not overly keen but doing better.

Last night the little monkey decided to wake every 30 mins from 3am rooting, then when I put my boob in he promply went back to sleep until I took it out then woke again 30 mins later. This was all after feeding 7ozs at 7pm and 12pm!!
Beadmum I think protein is at 7 months old.

Kayzed heres a routine for 6-7months
7am ? milk and cereal/porridge
11.45- dinner
12- drink water
2.30 ? milk
5pm- dinner and water
6.30 ? milk
I guess you could add a smaller milk feed on at bedtime. They need a minimum of 16-20ozs What time does she have her bath could you split the milk feed and just give her a bit after a bath.

Right im off to my last baby massage class as I start work on Monday

IamBlossom · 16/01/2007 13:08

cor girls, uve got to be dedicated to keep up with this thread. Luckily I am and have got nothing else to do (yeah right)...

KZ, cheers for asking after Toby's teeth, nothing has come through yet, but his bottom is a bit better, still a bit patchy but not bleeding anymore! never seen anything like it, DS1 certainly never had nappy rash so bad, you could have fried food on the heat coming off it at the weekend poor little mite. He flinched when I cleaned him. Have given him loads of nappy off time and it has really helped. Situation helped enormously by DH's suggestion that I "look after him better" Apparently it was a joke......grrrrrrr...

Soph, and Twinke, lovely lovely pics. Soph, Toby's hair is even whiter than my Harry's! I am always getting comments about his white hair, you must get the same....Twinkle we have that change mat! Not sure why I find that so exciting....

KZ, am so of your trip. Are you intending on going back to work at any point?

For the first time since I had Toby I am actually considering it. This past week has been the hardest since the early days I reckon. Toby doesn't really cry, but he has started SHOUTING very loudly pretty much constantly all the time. It's sweet at first, it's like he is singing, but after a couple of hours of it....then add a demanding two year old into the mix "not the blue cup mummy the orange cup, HOT milk mummy not cold, HOT, I'LL press the button mummy ME not YOUUU!!!" AAAAAAGGGGHHH!!

Anyhoo.

catch you all later.

Quick post to say I've put a picture on member profiles for you prettymum

Leo enjoying his grub

ImpyChica · 16/01/2007 14:30

Sophie - Toby and Chloe are lovely! Great pix.

Roshi is just a doll, Kamikazed, beautiful eyelashes.

Twinklemegan (lovely pix btw! He's a sweetie) - I had exactly the same experience as you on my first day back - female boss hardly managed to say 'hello' to me! She's been a bit better of late but I was really hurt the first day. It's true also that the whole office politics stuff isn't so important when you've got a baby - I'm much more laid back and have to leave on time to pick him up from the nursery - no more unpaid overtime!

Interesting about the eczema pic - Ryan looks a bit like that at the moment. He flared up with a high fever and rash over the weekend. It's not itchy though and seems to come and go. The doc seemed to think it was a viral thing. I presume eczema would be itchy and flaky?

DP gave Ry some rice cracker to chew on today but that's all so far on BLW - he's been too ill to try anything else....

Have a good week all.

Impy x

AnnieOleTing · 16/01/2007 14:46

Afternoon, yummy mummies.
Gorgeous pics everyone, I could see them all too. KZ Roshi is such a beawt (is that right aussie speak?), and Soph your two are gorge as well. And Aiden! Kayley has the same problem with a little eczema, we slap on the aqueous cream, and just occasionally the steroid cream (once a day or so). It's still there really, so I don't know if I should take her back to the GP again. She scratches a lot too, so her forehead is sometimes covered in little scabs. Has to wear mittens at night, which I hate.

thanks for the tips on weaning. Trouble is I'm not there four days a week, so it's up to DH really. Like you KZ, DS gobbled everything in sight as well, but not our Kayley. Will try rice pudding, BLoss, thanks. What about yoghurt drinks, or is she too young still?
KZ the arthritis is a right PITA but what can you do. Glad your CT cleared up. Really wish I'd appreciated my health when I was younger! As long as I don't start to look like a horse on these steroids...

Twinkle good luck back at work. I know how you feel! It's like you've been away and your life has totally changed, but everywhere else has just stayed the same. I've actually been given some work now to be getting on with, so I don't have to pretend to 'read' anymore for a while! It's good to get some sort of challenge going I guess. Miss my babies though!!

Well best get started, it is almost time to go home...

Annie

Ceebee74 · 16/01/2007 16:41

Afternoon all - far too many messages to remember what everyone said but I will try my best - apologies in advance if I miss anything. DH has been working from home today and completely hogging the computer room - anyone would think it was his office or something

Firstly - gorgeous piccies - all of them - haven't we produced the most yummy babies eh?

Annie - LOL at you going to do some work now - have had a lecture from DH about how I am not to spend all day on MN when I go back to work next week - as if

Twinkle - sorry your boss is a cow - my boss is female and has no kids but she does take an interest in other people's and is very understanding thankfully.

Kbaby - that routine seems to fit Josh's current routine so might adopt that once weaning is fully established - just on one pureed cube a day at the mo.

Soph - I am the same height as you and my ideal weight (for me) is also 11 and a half stone - however this is only 3 pounds off the top end of my 'acceptable weight range' according to Weightwatchers but again like you if I weigh any less than that, I would look far too thin - guess they don't take build into account.

KZ - yes, old money please as I don't understand kilos either

Well, Josh's move into his nursery went well - had no problems at all. However, we put a toy onto his cot which he has been playing with the last few weeks to get him familiar with his cot - it is one where if he spins a particular part, music plays - lo and behold at 4am this morning me and DH get woken up by the sound of 'If you are happy and you know it' swiftly followed by 'Skip to My Lou' - great!! We led in bed trying to ignore it thinking how long is he going to play before he gets bored and starts crying - 10 minutes later of persistent music, silence - Josh had gone back to sleep - result or what?? Just need to stop the 'jukebox' happening at 4am I guess! I don't want to switch the toy off at night as the idea was that he could play with it in the morning whilst waiting for me or DH to get up.

Must go as got to wash Josh's bottles and iron DH's clothes for his trip tomorrow.

kbaby · 16/01/2007 17:12

Forgot to say Blos, you aren?t at all how I pictured you. I had you down for a more mother earth person. Just wait until DS find the ?why? question and the ?ill do it myself? you find yourself explaining things constantly and waiting half the day for them to put a pair of shoes on.

Ive had DS weighed and hes put on 2lbs 4ozs in 3 weeks!! Still only 15lb 10 though. He must be having a growth spurt as he fed 7ozs at 10am, then a bf at 12pm, 1 cube apple at 1pm and another 5ozs.

Grrgg at DH, last night I cleaned up and got dds stuff ready for today, ate dinner and finally ast down at 9pm to read a magazine and he pops out with ?do you fancy any sex tonight then? What possessed him to think that I would want sex, I just want sleep. I don?t think ive had a sexy though since DS was born and I would even have to turn down Brad Pitt at the moment.

piccies of ds

IamBlossom · 16/01/2007 19:48

Kbaby, PMSL at "Do you want any sex"!! And tey say romance is dead....Never been told I am earth motherly TBH, although i wouldn't mind. i think I'd have to be able to cook though.

I look like this (or did on my wedding day anyway 6 years ago...)

DS looks gorge KBaby, and Wallace I love that pic of Leo you did for Pretty. He is such a cutie.

Wallace · 16/01/2007 19:58

Had a quick look at all the recent photos and they are all gorge - even yuo bloss There is a photo of me on member profiles somewhere I posted ages ago, but you'll have to search if you are curious enough!

I will try to catch up with all the posts later - doing the "desperately trying to get leo to bed" thing right now. Luckily I can feed at the PC, but can't type well...

HumphreysCorner · 16/01/2007 21:13

Lol at Bloss-me do it DD1 started with this and it turned into I want to do it meself. The battle of wills continues.

kbaby-DH says 'sex tonight?' every day! I'm afraid men just don't live in the real world!

Ceebee-we have a cot toy that lights up, plays music and projects an image onto the ceiling. Problem is it doesn't switch off so when DD1 got the hang of it I think we ended up removing the batteries. It has rattly bits which Sophie is enjoying at present.

Trying to arrange Sophie's Christening-can see a small nightmare coming on!

Aiming for an early night as a tad tired. Anyway, the sooner I get to sleep (which is never lately) the sooner morning comes and I can start eating again

HumphreysCorner · 16/01/2007 21:42

kayzed-what are you implying? Picnic at Hanging Rock-are you planning on 'losing' DH there when you go to Oz?

Sophie is awake better go and investigate.

Meant to say to Bloss about the nappy rash. DD1 got it really bad in her first year but not this early. I used to wince with her when I wiped and gently put cream on Lots of baths and no nappy time as you are doing.

Hi all. Assuming this post works, can I jump on the photos bandwagon? Here are some pics of Thomas and his doting sisters.

HC - I'm trying to organise T's christening too. Let the headaches begin!

Ho ho ho at all your DHs after sex! Mine has given up asking, and as we're not having any more kids I can't see the point anyway

Good luck to all of you that are back at work or heading that way. I'm planning to loll about at home until September cultivating my tea and chocolate addiction

night all xx

Hi guys,
Lovely piccies the babies are coming along a treat aren't they?
It's my b'day on thursday I'll be 29years old. I've told everyone not to bother with pressies etc because finance after christmas etc, hope they don't take me literally!!!! January birthdays are rubbish dd who's 10 has just had her 10th birthday on the 8th if only she'd been planned hey? It's dh's b'day too on the 25th and I have no money after christmas and got my credit card bill and car tax renual today. I wish you could change your birthday by depole or something. Moan moan moan, right thats out of my system

Logan weighs 18lb 8 oz and my arm muscles prove it! he rlled from back to front last wednesday but hasn't tried it since, he can also sit for about 5 minutes until he realises that I've put cushions all around him then he thinks it's great just to chuck him self onto them I'll be stair gates everywhere before we know it.

Dh's vasectomy date came through for the 8th of march, unfortunately it's my day off on thursdays so I won't be able to assist how disappointing! My collegues will see my dh's manly bits but on the plus side I might lose my born again virginity by next christmas. My baby making days are over which is sad but on the plus side I can look forward to my skiing holidays again!!!!!!

good night girls
sleep well (hopefully)

Hey everyone

Beautiful pics everyone - and Bloss you look gorgeous on your wedding pic am so jealous!

I want to get jake christened, but I wasnt and im not massively religious, but i think it will mean a lot to my Nan.

Went to my first mother and baby group today. I was really nervous but at least I didn't go to the wrong church this time!

Still waiting for my pushchair...grrrrrr!

Me and the ex are getting on a lot better. Had a big ramble at him the other day telling him how I felt and he actually listened. Told me he loves me. Think i want to get back with him. I was speaking to his female mates who are my friends too and I think that all the girl stuff was mostly in my head, his male mates dont really like me and they were the ones telling everyone but i dont know im confused. He definately doesnt see her any more, as he doesnt go out he has no money and ive taken his bank card off him as im paying off his charges.
And the battery in his phone has been dead for about 3 weeks so I know he doesnt text anyone.

Anyway, id better go, ive got to wash the bottles, then wait for the kettle/steriliser to cool all before i can go to bed.

thanks for reading if you managed to get throu this!! x

prettymum · 17/01/2007 01:10

kz will attempt now

pinkdolly · 17/01/2007 08:14

Morning ladies.

Have been trying to catch up on all your posts. What lovely pictures. Me and my girls love sitting here looking at all the July babies. DD1 always comments on how they look (wow, look at all her hair (Roshi))etc.

Still very tired, although last night was better. I hope that means the pox is receading. Not sure how much more whinging and bickering I can take from the girls.

Who was it who mentioned BLW?

I am trying this with Jazz, her grip isn't that good either (you have to give things back to her loads) but she seems to enjoy feeding herself.

I have registered for the valentines swap on the swapping board, thought it might be good, has anyone done one b4?

Bloss- You look beautiful in your wedding pic. Was that 2001 when you were married? my 6 year anniversary is 14th April.

Well, i'm off to give dd some more calpol, have a good day!

frenchleave · 17/01/2007 09:10

Morning girls

Soph28 - thanks re my kids. I always think of my eldest as fair-haired, but she isn't anymore now that her slight baby blondeness is all gone! I love very blonde babies, they look so innocent and angelic

T only woke twice last night - hooray! Took a massive feed at 1am, then didn't heat a thing til 7, when he grizzled before nodding off again til 8. We have progress

Time to get dressed! Have a good day everyone

IamBlossom · 17/01/2007 09:14

Pink, it was 2000, 25th November. Seems like a lifetime ago.

French, your kids are divine, what beautiful girls, they are going to be real heartbreakers....and what a Happy Chappie Thomas is! What a lucky boy to have two devoted big sisters....

Soph, I get that with Harry and his hair all the time too. We got accosted by some Spansih women in the street the other day, fawning over him, one of them ran back to her friend to get her camera FFS! I think Toby is going the same way, he had a darkish little Friar Tuck thing going on at the back of his head at first but that has gone now, and his head is covered in a white little suedey fuzz, I love kissing it! So looks like blondie number two is on the way....My DH was like that when he was small too, but went darker at about 5 so we will see....

Kosh - well done you going to that mother and baby group! Very proud of you, getting out and about you little social butterfly you. I am happy that you and your ex are getting on well, only you can know if he is the one for you, and you do share Jake, which is a massive bonder. If he loves you and deserves you then you go for it girl. I know what you mean about the steriliser melting your hands, have to give it five mins don't you. Drives me mad when DH boils the kettle again for a cuppa when I have just boiled it the once for the bottles....

Both boys did 6.30 till 6 last night. Feel very refreshed - it's amazing the difference not having even two glasses of wine of an evening makes too.....
