Eeny I think pics of CJ are on Boobys prifiles? As I cant find them from the link either? There is a really cute one of CJ sitting up bless her....loving her little chunky arms I want to munch them.

Sarahlou your dc's are gorgeous too, I think your ds looks more like you though?

I'll try to get some pics downloaded to do my profile soon.

Just spoke to my auntie who is looking after Jackson today while I'm at work, after I dropped him off at 8.40am asleep he didnt wake up until 12.30pm so totally missed his breakfast and 11am bottle, she ended up giving him 8oz bottle then half hour later his savoury solids then a pudding all within space of an hour, bet he's well stuffed now lol! Cant believe he had a 4 hour nap? Am in shock! He normallly naps for half hour-2hours...Must have needed it or maybe growth spurt??????????????????

Ohhh NBG hope you and DH are ok now, sorry you missed your night out, cant you go tonight instead?

Hoppy, tell me about it, I cut ds' nails every 3 days as they grow soooo fast! If I dont he ends with scratches on his face.

dressedupnowheretogo · 15/02/2007 15:44

eeny i will do and i'll send you thepics to your email

micku5 · 15/02/2007 16:43

Hi.. it's been a while since I've been on this thread. Back at work now thankfully it's only one day atm. Talia and Jadyn are both at nursery on that day.

Sorry to hear about your crap Valentine's NBG.... mine was spent in hospital with Talia. It was also DH's birthday so a pretty rubbish day all round.

How is everyone else?

Just had a quick skim read of the thread because Talia is sitting on my lap keeping me company lol! She's busy chatting to herself and playing with her dummy so it gives me a few minutes to type. I can't believe that she's going to be 7 months next week!!!

PinkTulips · 15/02/2007 17:37

she's the oldest baby on the thread isn't she micku? seems like yesterday i read your birth announcment post

how is she doing?

micku5 · 15/02/2007 19:46

I think there are a couple of babies born before her but I can't remember who.

She's doing much better. She had a really bad wheezy chest and had to be put on back to back nebulisers until her breathing was stable. Unfortunately with her Di george and her VSD she does has a lower immune system.

She was ever so good though and the hospital staff loved her in fact she was used as a 'test' patient by one trainee doctor (who is doing her exams later this year) and as a case study for another.

How's your hip now?

dressedupnowheretogo · 15/02/2007 20:52

wow im glad shes getting bettr micku

BandofMothers · 15/02/2007 21:01

Mi5, My dd2 was born on aug 7th, when was yours born??
Sorry if you've said before but even I (who likes to read the whole/most of thread before adding) can't read all that, it's just TOO long

PinkTulips · 16/02/2007 10:59

hip's getting better, thanks we're all still snotty and feeling sorry for ourselves but at least i'm not limping

dd has lost all the weight she put on in the last couple of months because of this horrible bug she and caleb weigh the same now... 10kgs hopefuylly she'll put i9t back on once she's feeling better but it's such a kick in the teeth for us, she was doing so good.

BOM, both micku and i have july babies..... we just LURVE you guys

eenybeeny · 16/02/2007 11:15

Pink I am so sorry about Sarahs weight loss. You were doing so well! Try not to be discouraged though when this lurgy passes she will put it back on!

Micku glad to hear Talia is doing better and it sounds like she is getting good treatment at your hospital!

Booby thanks I got your email, will write you back today. Hope you are well!

NbgsYellowFeathers · 16/02/2007 13:18

Pinky, I'm sure Sarah will put the weight back on soon. You've worked really hard with her so I'm sure she'll be a little trooper and get there.

Micku, nice to hear from you. Bless little Talia, she sounds like such a lovely little girl.

Everything is ok now with dh and I. We sorted things out late that night.
However, things are not ok now.
Ellis has got the pox and I trapped my finger in the car door last night after we'd been shopping so I'm all bandaged up and in pain .

Woe is meeeeeeee!

BigHotMama · 16/02/2007 16:09

Oh dear? Seems like all the baba's are getting some bug or infection lately? Jackson's got a chest infection and went with DH as he already had an appointment, the doctor refused to see him can you believe it? Anyway got an appointment for him at a different clinic thank god, he's off his food

Hi Micku glad Talia is doing well

Hope everyone else is ok x x

hoppybird · 16/02/2007 16:51

Hello everyone!

Well my little munchkin is 26 weeks today! How time has flown!

I got her weighed a couple of days ago, she's a dinky little 13lb 1oz (just about 6kg) and just under the 2nd centile for both length and weight. She's got wonderfully chubby little thighs (was born with skinny chicken legs) so now she's just a mini version of your average baby, rather than being 'too small'. Pinky, heavens, yours is 10kg?! just goes to show how different they all are! - shame about your dd losing the weight she put on.

Cute pic of CJ on your profile Booby - she's lovely and chubby!

Good to hear from you again Micku, nice to hear updates on Talia.

Those of you with babies who don't sleep through yet (like mine) will appreciate this piece posted on the 'sleep' topic. Made me laugh.

PinkTulips · 16/02/2007 22:43

Caleb just woke up and called for his 'mama'

he's been using the word alot recently but we weren't sure he knew that it meant me but he's used it twice now to call for me everyone and everything else but me is 'baba'

i love early talkers, Sarah was the same, said mama, dada and cat when she was 7 months and was chattering away easily by a year.... couldn't walk til she was 14 months but she could tell us where she wanted to be carried!

hoppybird · 17/02/2007 01:03

Pinky - that's lovely! I didn't know babies could talk so early!

My dd has been making lots of interesting random noises, she started a lot earlier than ds did. Her latest one is "a-mamamama, mmmamama" a noise she has made since she started teething. However, this evening, she said "mama" whilst dh was holding her, he said "oh, you want to go to Mama?" I said "that's just her random noise" but he reckoned we should encourage the link between me and that particular sound.

My ds was saying "a-dadada" at the same age, but everything was "a-dada", and his first proper word, at 1 year old was "car"!

NbgsYellowFeathers · 17/02/2007 10:04

Aww pinky how cute! Obviously your his favourite person
Melsy was saying that dd2 has started to do the milk sign to her which I thought was pretty good too.

I dont know, all these genius babies!

My poor boy is all poxed up . He hadnt been too bad but I think this morning he's realised what a PITA it is lol.
As I type, dh is making a Piston Cup with dd and they're arguing over the glue [sigh]
I dont know whos the kid here!

PinkTulips · 17/02/2007 11:14

poor ellis, hopefully as he's so young it might be easier for him. hope he's feeling better soon Feathers

Caleb has Sarah's eye infection now poor mite.... his left eye is all snotty and gunky and red so might have to ring the out of hours docs if it doesn't clear today. i swear i'm going to go mad if there's much more illness in this house!

Snowboo · 17/02/2007 13:26

hi all, still hovering but we are now into our third week of virus. poor ds1 has a rash so ended up emergency appt at dr on Weds and y'day, apparently its a coughing rash????

Pink, sorry you still having a bad time love! Hopefully this will be the virus allowance for the year in one hit!

Have now found a new way to entertain Austin, he loves watching the washing machine!!!! New man in the making?

Hoppy, i'm near to Uxbridge, and being full of cold i had to ask dh where you live! how stoopid did i feel??

Hi to everyone else, will sit down later and read thru properly...

eenybeeny · 17/02/2007 16:09

Aw Pink congrats!! That is adorable!

Alex is sick too. He had a temp of 102 (39) and we took him to the hospital. He has a virile infection and I am living in fear of menengitis!

Hope all your babies are alright and on the mend!

Snowboo · 17/02/2007 20:58

Ahhhh what an evening! Poor ds1 has a temp also of 39.1. Has had temps on and off for over two weeks now so if he is still no better tomorrow we're off to Casualty +.... Great. My first trip out in days is to another doctors.

Eeny, hope Alex gets well soon, poor little love, its awful when they get sick!

I'll put my hands up and admit i'm a manic worrier. Forever checking them and taking temps but i our friends are nurses, docs etc etc so they really don't help at all.

lunavix · 17/02/2007 21:11

Boo - do you live near uxbridge???

Sorry haven't been posting, half term is nuts here (50 hour week for me eewwww)

dd is puking, and we're staring blw next weekend.... 6 months old on saturday! And unless a boob falls off I'll have bf for 6 months!!! Sorry this is a big moment for me

grannycrackers · 18/02/2007 09:22

luna- my ds is 6months on saturday too

sorry to hear of so many los being ill. my dd is on abs due to her cough/cold progressing to an ear infection. ds just has a cough so doesn't need them.
my grandson, 4 months old, has been in hospital since tuesday night, and came out yesterday. he's getting better now but we were all very worried. he had this cough/cold thing and my dd took him to the dr who just said to give him calpol. the next night he was so weak he wasn't even crying anymore, they took him to hospital and he had drs all over him, and was put on a drip and given oxygen. he had bronchiolitis. he was a very unhappy little thing and my eldest dd, his mum, who is 21, looks like she's lost a stone in weight. she was only a size 8/10 before too so i'm worried about her.

sorry - bit long, got that off my chest now

hoppybird · 18/02/2007 12:36

grannycrackers - gosh, sorry to hear about your LO's and grandson's illnesses. Seems everyone's LO's are coming down with nasties - NBG and the chicken pox, Pinky and her LO's pink eye (pain to get the drops in - my ds had this on holiday once and would scream the place down when we had to put the drops in), Alex's high temp, the Booby family flu...heavens! Mine is only snotty and teething, so I guess we're getting off lightly, even though it doesn't feel like it when she refuses to go back to sleep in her cot after one of numerous night feeds. Hope everyone and their LOs are feeling better soon.

snowboo - lol at not 'getting' where I live. We often refer to it as such to add a bit of glamour . It's not a bad place really. I'm actually originally from West Yorkshire, and I certainly prefer suburban Middlesex to there, although the hard water here is disgusting compared to the lovely soft water you get in the Pennines.

Luna - well done! I know you must be very proud to get to 6 months bf, especially if you've had difficulty or not had a lot of support. I feel like it's an acheivement for me too - I sooo wanted a natural birth, and because I didn't have one, like with my ds, I sort of "made up for it" for myself by doing the best I could with bf. It's a personal thing for me, I hope that make sense and doesn't sound crazy.

BigHotMama · 18/02/2007 15:38

Wow Pink its amazing he has learnt his first word so early, you must be really proud

Sorry to hear abouyt your grandson Grannycrackers? Must have been a real horrible situation, hope he gets better soon x

Hoppy and Luna, you've both done so well with bf this long, good on ya both! I only managed between 3-4 and really miss it now.

Well Jacksons has got his 2 bottom teeth through we only thought it was one bless him but I can actually see them now! And he's on AB's with chest infection but seems a lot perkier today and has been screaming his little head off with excitement...he has a thing for blinds and washing machines..just stares at them for ages and starts squealing?

Went out on a belated valentines meal last night at TGI Friday, was very yummy and I got quite tipsy on several large glasses of vino.

Hope your lo's are feeling better NBG, Eeny and Snowboo.

Oh and isnt it a gorgeous day? I feel like going out and skipping down the road....

purpleturtle · 18/02/2007 15:50

Well ds2 has proven to be the easiest of the lot to 'crack' when it comes to moving towards formula.

He did scream for an entire episode of Scooby-Doo before taking an ounce on Monday from a magic spout thingy cup. When I bought follow-on milk on Wednesday he didn't really protest at all, just drank 3oz (cos that's all there was in the cup).

This is all so that all 3 kids can have a sleepover at a friend's next weekend while dh and I go to a dinner-dance. Yay!

Snowboo · 18/02/2007 20:15

Luna, good for you getting to 6months!!!! And yeah i'm 10mins from Uxbridge. Actually going shopping there tomorrow to buy something for a wedding next month and haven't a clue what to look for!!!!

Grannycrackers, sorry to hear your dd, ds and grandson are poorly, its really awful when they are sick. Your poor dd1 too. My mum says its bad enough when its your child but when its your grandchild its worse...(she was crying down the phone about ds1 today)
Hope they feel better soon.

Hoppy you don't sound crazy, for me it was an achievement to get to 8weeks....

BHM i'm jealous. A night out that doesn't involve doctors??? Hmmm must try and organise one of those things.... Have forgotten what its like not to have the kids 24/7!

Right, after poor ds1 having a temp last night of 39.1 and then this morn it was 39.7 we called NHS Direct, they booked us in to the Gp at hosp, poor love has tonisilitis. So he now on a strong course of AB's and we are majorly f**ked off at our doctors. Two different docs missed it in the week, both looked in his throat and said there was nothing wrong....WTF???? Dr today said it was really nasty so how they missed it is beyond me......So now i have the task of finding a dr i can trust, only saving grace is at least it wasn't life threatning....

And finally i have conjunctivitus. So thats it now. I'm officially fed up with the whole of my house being ill...

Sorry, ramble over. And scuse any typos....
