NbgsYellowFeathers · 28/01/2007 19:29

Luna, I have you on my list

Purple, will add you too

NbgsYellowFeathers · 29/01/2007 13:19

Where are you all?
You cant be out having lives can you. Tis outrageous is what it is.

Well just wanted to report that I tried a bit of BLW with Ellis yesterday. He had Brocoli and Carrot and loved it
It went everywhere though so be prepared if you want to do it. Also it took me just over an hour to clean it all up cos I had to bath him after lol. But it was well worth it because he really enjoyed it and he was fascinated with the brocoli

PinkTulips · 29/01/2007 13:45

melsy · 30/01/2007 21:49

Im sorry I dont come on much , Im a bit overloaded in the head and my body is sore from physiotherapy and my mind is up and down due to finishing BF as of Mon this week . Dd2 however is not in a good way due to a nasty cold and fever, so I was up from 2:30 - 4:30 last night, who knows tonight?????. Despite me being beside myself with fatigue , I kinda feel different when its due to them being ill. I had to have her lay on me with a cold flannel on her head to soothe her to sleep.

shes coughung right now , so not sure how its going to go tonight poor little thing, she seems so tiny and sorrowful right now.

purple u are added to my msn btw.

Pink great news hun , really good for u all. left a message on your thread.

, yellows lost all her hair , we wont look like twisted sisters now, bet it looks lovely though. U meeting booby??? Where, when, how , I wanne meet you boohoooooooooooo !!!!

We all live to far away [insert msn crying emoticon]

anywhooo I told booby I was going to bed nearly 40mins ago and I seem to have lingered on here now !!

BigHotMama · 30/01/2007 21:50

Well last few days have been hectic and no time for MN . Been back at work full time and have to be organised which is so not me. Jackson is loving being at his nannies house all day, doesnt seem to miss me at all , I think I'm more upset at the situation . Work feels wierd as everybody is pissed off at the redundancy thing so strange me going back for just 4 weeks.

Lol at all this pg talk! Its a baby boom at work too, 2 are ready to pop, 2 just announced their pg's.

Well done on your dd's weight gain Pink, great news!

PinkTulips · 30/01/2007 22:06

thanks girls

Poor caleb had his last round of vacs til the mmr tonight and took it like a trooper. He smiled at the doctor right after the jabs and the doc was so pleased bless him. grinned from ear to ear and said 'Hey, i never get smiles. It feels nice to get a smile for a change' Poor man, guess he doesn't normally see kids at their friendliest!

Calebs passed out now and doesn't seem at all pushed so fingers crossed.

And hey, after 2 years of searching i've finally found a nice mom and toddler group with moms who actually talk to me and don't look at me like i've got 2 heads. Had a really nice mornig with them at soft play so am in a great mood now.

Sarah starts playgroup tomorrow so touch wood she'll enjoy it and there'll not be too many tears!

dressedupnowheretogo · 30/01/2007 22:13

in sarcastic tones

THE POB IS SO OVER AND LAST SEASON

ROFL

op north hairdressers are obviously useless its all about the sixties now

NbgsYellowFeathers · 31/01/2007 08:06

Right thats a clip round the ear hole for you now missy!

Pob is last season, my bum. The outrage!

Dont worry mel, we can still be twisted without the haircut lol

Pinky, good luck for Sarah today. Even if she does cry, I bet she'll love it. Enjoy the time you have when shes there. It goes quickly lol.

Bhm, you not fancy joining your colleagues in the baby boom?

Well after getting my hair done yesterday, I nipped into Tesco and bought some bits of food for Ellis. This was under the phone supervision of Booby. Sooooo I bought a couple of Papayas (on offer btw, 2 for £2 lol), an Avocado, Sweet potato and a Butternut squash.
Well when I got home I decided to pulverise the Papaya, only to discover that the bloody thing doesnt like to be pulverised, it just goes into tiny little bits. All Ellis did was gag on it so it was wasted.
Was it just the way I did it? Can Papaya really be pureed?
I can't believe pureeing Papaya is on the top of my thoughts list lol.

lunavix · 31/01/2007 08:09

YF - I think you should have lightly steamed it before boiling. Or left it more to ripen

I'm SOOOO jealous I want to meet you all Sob

NbgsYellowFeathers · 31/01/2007 08:11

Ahhhh right. Mystery over lol.

You can meet us.
Not that I have yet. BOooby met Melsy at the weekend in London because she was at that magazine shoot and we have arranged to meet possibly next month when Melsy comes ooop north to visit family.
Its tough really with us all being spread about.

BigHotMama · 31/01/2007 11:53

Lol NBG not too keen on joining baby boom again just yet!

Will definately be up for a meet up when I've finished work, be nice to be able to put faces to the names

purpleturtle · 31/01/2007 15:51

I bought a papaya. Once. when dd was small. She didn't like it, neither did I, so that was that. Dropped off my list of necessary weaning foods.

Bought a dragonfruit last week, because it looked freaky. The whole family rejected it, except me, and I only really ate it cos it cost £1.89 (It was an educational experience, you understand)!

PinkTulips · 31/01/2007 17:19

aghhh. wierd day. won't do another self absorbed rant to you lot but suffice it to say playschool could take somegetting used to.

feathers.... i gave caleb a chunk of papaya whole and he was delighted with it... didn't manage much but screamed when i tried to clean it up! used to chop it really finely for dd and mix with yogurt... dunno why really!

booby, i keep missing you on msn... dp always fiddling with the pc..... he gets obsessed with tracks he's writing so it's pointless me logging on as he boots me off the pc and i forget to turn msn off and everyone gets pissy at me!

Feathers, be your hair looks gorgeous... put a pic in your profile and let us judge

lunavix · 31/01/2007 17:56

mm i love papayas. Chop up small, and mix in yoghurt with passionfruit.

YF would really like to see your hair Having said that, not entirely sure I've seen a pic of you with the old hair!

Speaking of hair, I need a new cut. Can anyone suggest anything? My hairs currently bra length, but it has kinks so if I don't straighten it it looks a state (and who has time to straighten every morning????) I was thinking just above shoulder, but heavily layered... hmm. I have a long neck though.

I'm looking forward to weaning. I've put my foot down though and not starting till kiera is 6 months to the day. Or giving bottles till then. Having said that, dh and I are going out Sunday and I havne't managed to express anything I wish you could buy breast milk at boots lol

PT - I missed ayd so much at nursery at first. But today was my day to go and help and to be honest I didn't really enjoy it lol. I'm quite liking having an hour or two with dd! and well done for sarahs weight gain thats fab
ayd is the opposite, he's humungus.

lunavix · 31/01/2007 17:58

oh my god.

hair on the left...

NbgsYellowFeathers · 31/01/2007 18:06

Ahhh pinky, nightmare! She'll get there in the end I'm sure. Did the staff say she was ok after you'd gone?

Luna, go for the haircut. Mine was long, probably as long as yours, really thick and naturally curly. I'd either spend ages straightening it or making it look decent curly. I thought by chopping it all off would take the time aspect away from faffing with it. Like you say, we just dont have the time.
I'm so pleased with it and it has to be the best hair cut I've ever had.

I'll take a piccy and send you it on msn.

NbgsYellowFeathers · 31/01/2007 18:06

Dont know which is worst
