Smocks seem to be massive atm. I got a lovely cream wollen one from Topshop and it skins over all the right places
I have to confess a grim moment of mine yesterday too.
We took Ellis swimming yesterday with dd, for the first time. I didnt have a costume so had to go in my Bikini!!!
Jelly belly and strech marks lol. I guess it gave the lifeguards a good laugh. They looked bored

BigHotMama · 24/01/2007 10:48

Gosh just the thought of me wearing a bikini makes me shudder, will be needing one though for my hols later this year, now thats got to be an incentive! Yellow, did Ellis wear the waterproof huggies swimmer nappy? Got one for Jackson but didnt know if he just wears that or some shorts on top? (Bit tick me!) Did he enjoy his first time? When I go swimming I squeeze myself into a size 16 speedo swimsuit and although it holds me tum in a bit my double love handles are just oozing out the sides, its scary!

TheCricketHunter · 24/01/2007 11:46

Been out since nine this morn building a snowman!! Will post a pic later.... I love the snow....

Now got to get ds1 ready for nursery and having to walk today. Yippee!!!!

olivo · 24/01/2007 13:01

i want some snow !!
YF at your bikini antics - i'm still in my maternity swimming costume.6 weeks till we go away and i have to squeeze into a bikini...dreading it
bhm - holly wears a huggies swimmer with a swimming costume on top, that way i'm assured that if she poos, there'll be no leakage!!
booby - might the rash be an allergic reaction? i used a different washing powder just the once and dd got a rash.

dressedupnowheretogo · 24/01/2007 13:01

bhm trinny and susannah

and at my local pool either just a swim nappy or costume and nappy

cricket hunter am very envious our snow has melted

dressedupnowheretogo · 24/01/2007 13:02

actually her rash is worse not changed powder maybe was tomotoe she hjad yesterday ?????

will bask hv in a while

purpleturtle · 24/01/2007 13:09

If it was the first time on tomato, then it could be a reaction, couldn't it.

dressedupnowheretogo · 24/01/2007 13:13

strange all on one side and on her lower stomach and upper thighs

am going to bf support and its run by hv so should be able to sort it

dressedupnowheretogo · 24/01/2007 20:27

so girlies my pic will be in first magazine along with an interveiw about my non regular sex drive lol will let you all know when its out

BigHotMama · 24/01/2007 21:10

Ah ok thanks for tips on huggies swimmers, have spotted a lovely all-in-one mini wetsuit from JojoMamaBebe for Jackson.

Hope CJ's rash has calmed down Booby, let us know what happens with your hv.

Still no sign of any snow but its bloody freezing!

BigHotMama · 24/01/2007 21:11

Booby what magazine is this then? You gonna be famous lol? I thought you were the one who had a high sex drive? No? Maybe me memory is all fuzzy from when was pg.

PinkTulips · 25/01/2007 11:06

morning all... very of everyone who had snow!

Caleb's had a fever for the last few days and isn't in the best form so i'm shattered. between that and Sarah's birthday yesterday i could sleep for a week.

booby... hope cj's ok now. lol at you going to be in a mag.... which one is it?

nbg..... i had to wear my bikini on the beach almost daily while 8/9 months pregnant with this little whopper..... you should have seen the looks i was getting! i feel your pain

sorry i haven't replied to everyone... just skimed through as Caleb's grumbling on my lap.

TheCricketHunter · 25/01/2007 15:53

Hi all!

Bikini talk is making me panic.... I can just fit into my mat swiming cossie! I am now on the Kelloggs diet and it has shifted a few pounds so far.

Both ds's have stinking colds yet again.....
Welcome to Snotsville!

Still can't find my pet cricket so will change name back to Snow as i'm obviously crap at hunting him down!!!!lol

PinkTulips · 25/01/2007 16:08

surely he makes enough noise to find easily?

BigHotMama · 25/01/2007 18:53

Snow, maybe you could change your name to The Snot Hunter? lol. Hope your lo's colds go away soon. Jackson's always got big bogeys first thing in the morning, good job I got nails . oops maybe tmi.

Hope Caleb's feeling better Pink? Poor little thing.

Well got Jackson weighed and he's 17lb1oz and is 68cm long so coming on great. The HV asked if I'd started weaning and then said I should have introduced savoury first as it willbe hard for him to like savoury? And get this, she told me if he doesnt take to savoury food to stop solids altogether and start from the beginning? WTF? I just nodded knowing full well I would be ignoring her advise. He's had some potatoes and brocolli this pm, although didnt get as excited as he does his swetter stuff, its a start!

lunavix · 25/01/2007 21:31

PT - I've posted on your nappy thread, I feel so bad that you're falling so behind with your rent So let me help with nappies if I can!

On another note, egads cloth users what should I do with dd? Tots and kissies that used to fit my big-assed ds don't sit right on her...

dressedupnowheretogo · 25/01/2007 23:12

im gonna be in first magazine bit pissed againlol

been to charity fashioin show

bhm stil got high sex drive but not the oppurtunitry to have it !!!

managed to get myself to work too and enjoyed so am on a bit of a high

pt any thing i can do email me im glad to help

love you allxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

PinkTulips · 25/01/2007 23:38

luna... thanks for the offer but honestly we'll be ok..... we're only 'borrowing' from the rent really as i have the nappies he's grown out of and some other baby things to sell to get the money back. Thank you though.... you're really kind to offer

As for your nappy problem... have you tried MEOS or popolini one-size on her? they're quite neat fitting nappies and the reason ds has grown out of them is his big bum and thighs so might suit her as she's really petite

lunavix · 26/01/2007 08:41

as long as you're sure PT cos they're just sitting here (in boys colours!) waiting for dd to grow into them which looks like it will be a while

I might try to find a few of those nappies - I bought dd a ton of shiny new fluffles, tots and kissies and they just don't seem right.

NbgsYellowFeathers · 26/01/2007 08:56

Booby, lol at you being pissed . DD used to react to tomatoes every now and then. She would come out in a red rash around her mouth.

BHM, I did use a swim nappy and then put a little pair of trunks on top. Dont know why because the swim nappy would have been enough.

Pinky, hope Caleb perks up soon. After Ellis's broncilitis I hope he never gets ill ever again. It makes everything ten times harder.

Snow, just set your tumble dryer going. That should get the Cricket going

Ellis has now got his first tooth through Weirdly its at the back of his mouth but I've decided that this boy is going to do everything differently . He's also suddenly really got into his food. He's lunging towards the spoon and whinging when I take too long to give him another mouthfull lol!
My poor poor laptop nearly died yesterday so we had to wipe the whole hard drive. I've lost everything . So I have no MSN atm. Hpefully I'm going to get it up and running again today but after dh's many failed attempts yesterday I'm not sure I'll be successful.

sarahlou1uk · 26/01/2007 08:59

God I feel such a useless mum sat here reading about all your successes with reuseable nappies !

Nah - only kidding. I started off with the right intentions and bought a pile of Tots Bots, Motherease and others to use on Molly. However, the Tots didn't seem to fit her - looked like hipster nappies! The Motherease are far too bulky and when she is in them I can't get her car seat straps to fasten!

I've given up I'm afraid and now disposables are my best friend once again. I've started to sell off my nappy collection and only now have a few Tots size 2 and wraps left. Made a loss money wise, but disposables proved far too convenient - plus my council don't landfill household waste, we have an incinerator which is used to burn this and powers some of the councils houses! (the council have an incinerator not me!)

Well done to all you who persevered and are doing your thing for the environment. Who knows, I might try again later.

olivo · 26/01/2007 09:45

hi everyone!

booby - at being pissed, you deserve it! glad you enjoyed your work. oh, and make sure you tell us when the mag comes out so we can get it!
YF at your laptop, trust me, i know the feeling. have just ordered a new one after dropping mine. am doing a few days supply to get some money to pay for it!

went into work yesterday, and except for a tear when i said goodbye to dd, didnt worry about her all day. really enjoyed my day but a few things that are happening have made me wonder whether that is really where i want to be. i'm also having loads more hassles with the nursery dd is supposed to go to and feeling really despondent about the whole thing. would love to be a sahm but we just cant afford it

sorry, will snap out of it now. promised myself i wouldnt think about it all till after the weekend! time for a chunky kit kat to cheer me up...

PinkTulips · 26/01/2007 11:13

luna... if you wanted to buy my ones i have seven popolini and two meos.. they're in very good nick considering i got them secondhand as ds hasn't really been in them long (about a month and a half) but i got them for cheap so i could sell the lot to you for 4 pounds each (actually one of them doesn't have the snap in booster so say 2 for that one).... either that or we could work out a swap for the ones you have if you'd be interested?

NbgsYellowFeathers · 26/01/2007 14:15

Its ok, panic over! I have my lovely things back on my laptop now.
Pheeeeeeewwww.
Msn is now back up and running.

PinkTulips · 26/01/2007 14:31

lol nbg.. thats good news
