You are not a shit stressed out mum Salt you are a fantastic mum who has coped with a tragedy and built a safe home for you and your daughter. Flowers for you, I think you're amazing. Be kind to yourself xxxxx

Snozz sounds like a fun outing! I think you're braver taking the pram, I use my car like a comfort blanket now, it's my all purpose mobile feeding and changing station, plus emergency escape device! Pre-kids I used to be so Eco-friendly Confused

glorious · 07/01/2016 23:10

salt nice to see you. I'm glad the new place is working well. Sorry moving was sp tough though. I'm sure you are doing a brilliant job with DD and I hope you can feel better about that soon.

cupcakes ,congratulations! How exciting! not at all jealous

tugs we are having a 'tiger who came to tea' party and I have so much to do for it!

SnozzberryMincePie · 08/01/2016 09:33

Salt Flowers It sounds like you are doing a great job under difficult circumstances.

Meringue I am not a very confident driver so taking the kids out feels like a big deal, especially on the dual carriageway where I can't just stop if one of them screams or escapes from their car seat (yes I am looking at you dd Hmm)

Glorious a tiger who came to tea party sounds great, what are you going to do for it?

glorious · 08/01/2016 17:20

A lot!

This afternoon I've been colouring tights for Ellen's Sophie costume. I also have a dress and bunting to make.

We will be eating what they do in the book and doing tiger colouring, play dough, 'tea' pouring, and making tiger food. Oh and the tiger will arrive and drink all the water in the tap Grin

glorious · 08/01/2016 17:53

glorious · 08/01/2016 20:00

Lol the mummies and daddies will be allowed Grin

Well Ivy decided on Friday to use the toilet (after buying a toddler seat). Has been using toilet ever since. Even managed her first poo today! She seems to get tired of the whole thing mid afternoon though and goes and puts on a nappy. But yay we seem to be getting there finally!

glorious · 10/01/2016 18:31

And Ellen decided to use her new potty on sat. Only one accident so far! Yay!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 10/01/2016 19:42

glorious love the tights! They're amazing. Would never have thought of using a marker pen. And fab news on the potty usage! Well done Ellen!

Well down to Ivy, too Mavolio.

DS has pretty much moved into the pre-school room at nursery now. He's not officially supposed to move up until after his birthday, but whenever they have extra staff he's in there. He's absolutely loving it!

Pregnancy symptoms really hitting me hard now, feeling utterly wiped out. I didn't experience anything like this with DS so it's come as a bit of a shock!

glorious · 10/01/2016 22:11

Thanks cupcakes , they took me forever! The main problem was figuring out how to do it. I made a little cardboard thing with a grid on it to go in the middle. Then sat there for hours!

I'm sorry you're feeling rubbish. I hope it improves soon. Flowers

SnozzberryMincePie · 10/01/2016 22:21

Hope you feel better soon cupcakes. Pregnancy is hard with an older child, dp had to do a lot around the house ( and still does now that DS is in the constant feeding stage).

Congratulations to all the new toilet trainees Smile

MavolioBent · 10/01/2016 23:03

Oh no cupcakes hope you feel better soon. Early pregnancy is so hard especially with older dc to take care of Flowers

Well done Ellen. Fingers crossed we will all soon be nappy free except those with younger dc

LetThereBeCupcakes · 11/01/2016 08:34

Argh, you've just reminded me I'm going back to the nappy days! And feeding round the clock! And random screaming for no apparent reason! What have I DONE?

RatOnnaStick · 11/01/2016 09:53

Those tights look amazing Glorious. Dan keeps asking to go to the zoo as DS1 sung the zoo version of happy birthday all last week at him. We have reasonable success with toilet training. He wears pants all the time awake and will go to the loo if asked but hasn't yet done a poo there and he's not willing to rush to the loo if he needs a wee, quite happy to let mummy change him instead. Probably one accident a day. He was adamant he wasn't going to wear nappies anymore so I've gone with it but I don't think it'll be all that quick.

Hope you feel better soon Cupcakes

Salt I'm a crap stressed mum lots of the time. Two do occupy each other a bit though which takes the pressure off a bit.

MavolioBent · 11/01/2016 16:21

Ivy is scared of doing a poo on the toilet! She did one by accident yesterday and I thought that she would be fine but she has just had a screaming meltdown over half a poo (tmi). This is a new one me... Confused

RatOnnaStick · 11/01/2016 16:32

The way I got over it with DS1 (who was 3.4) was to let him do it on the toilet floor first and scoop it in, we progressed to the loo but only if he could play lego trains on the tablet while sitting there for a few minutes. We also read poo goes to pooland which you can youtube.

And a bloody enormous bribe of a whole chocolate santa helped as well.

meringue33 · 11/01/2016 20:44

Oh yeah two screamers in back not very fun!!

Glorious I love the party and tights! What a fantastic idea!!!!

Poor Cupcakes hope you feel better soon. Maybe it means it's a girl this time? I was just a bit nauseous with DS but vommed about five times a day with DD :-)

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/01/2016 08:42

Mavolio Bless her! But (dare I ask) how does one accidentally poo on the toilet?!?

meringue I've wondered that - I know quite a few people who have found one gender easier to carry than the other. We're hoping to find out the gender at the 20 week scan this time (didn't with DS), so we'll have time to buy a few bits if it's a girl. I'd like for DS to pick out some bits for the new baby. Although I suspect he'll just choose things he wants for himself. duplo

I have to confess to being a really rubbish mum yesterday. DS was in nursery in the morning whilst I was at work, but I was so tired in the afternoon I just let him watch Ben and Holly. I need to come up with some nice gentle activities I can do with him whilst not moving too much myself. Any ideas?

MavolioBent · 12/01/2016 10:45

Cupcakes she had gone for a wee but obvious really needed a poo and it just 'happened' the look on her face was priceless...pure shock Shock

Have had a look at poo goes to pooland. She's interested but still freaks when she needs a poo. Oh well am sure it will be OK in the end.

RatOnnaStick · 12/01/2016 12:41

Dan's still not aknowledging the need for a toilet for poo either. Or nappy at night. Its pants all the way here. He's all for poo goes to pooland but not as it relates to him it seems.

SnozzberryMincePie · 12/01/2016 13:05

Cupcakes can you read stories together? Or play drs with you as the patient? Dd watched a lot of telly though so don't feel bad.

MavolioBent · 12/01/2016 16:17

See now we have wee goes to weeland here...and a small poo that did indeed go to pooland.

I spend far too much time dealing with bodily functions

Cupcakes I am afraid early pregnancy usually resulted in better knowledge of kids films around here! Dd1 always makes me think of pinnochio and the aristocats as we watched them so much

glorious · 17/01/2016 09:01

Don't want to speak too soon but think we've cracked this potty training lark. She had a couple of accidents at pre school and with childminder this week but none with me and she reliably asks to go. We have poo now too. Yay! She's dry at night too but I'm not brave enough to take her night nappy off. I think we'll keep them on until we run out.

Party prep is coming along nicely - should finish her dress today. Just waiting for mine to arrive and we'll be there (except all the food)

glorious · 18/01/2016 15:46

Oh and we have officially decided to move. Very sad to leave where we are but I think it's the best decision for us as a family. Just exploring my options work wise as there might be something I could do mostly home based with my current employer which would be fab, though it's only temporary.
