You sound exactly like I did with Dan except there was a lot more Fuck involved Grin Congratulations! A september baby?

Um... I might have forgotten to write down when I had my last period. I think about early September. Ish.

All I can think about is the kilo of brie my mum gave me for Christmas. All portioned up in the freezer. Useless. I ate quite a bit of it over Christmas too! Shock

RatOnnaStick · 04/01/2016 14:51

Ooh really? You could be up to about 16 weeks then?

Eat the brie.

I wrote down that AF was due 25th Nov. I'm often a couple of days late. So guessing at around 27th?

Oh god the midwife is going to LOVE me!

RatOnnaStick · 04/01/2016 17:25

Nah. The scan will put you right. I didn't know for sure last time as he was a surprise. It worked out pretty close to the dates I guessed at.

Congratulations(?) Cupcakes Grin

Am hoping my stubborn little miss will be out of nappies in time to start playgroup in april. Am so over nappies after nearly 12 years of the buggers.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 04/01/2016 19:52

Thanks Mavolio - yes it is congratulations, DH and I have been trying. Which makes me feel even more idiotic for not knowing my dates!

How is DD getting on with potty training? My friend has had an awful time with her DD, who announced she would not be wearing nappies any more about 4 months ago and she's only just about dry now!

Thanks Rat - I rang the midwife today and she said they'd discuss it at my booking in, might have to have an early scan I think.

Cupcakes, congratulations Flowers

I see you already have baby brain Wink

I took both kids out today and it was fine, on the way there dd walked and ds was in the buggy, when we got there dd played with her friend while ds fed, then on the way home dd went to sleep in the buggy and I put ds in the sling. I almost looked like I knew what I was doing Grin

LetThereBeCupcakes · 05/01/2016 07:37

I don't think the baby brain ever went away after DS!

I want a sling this time round. What have you got, Snozz?

MavolioBent · 05/01/2016 07:51

Ha ha Snozz sometimes I look like I know what I'm doing too Grin Am quite certain that no one actually knows what they're doing...

I'm winging it every day Grin.

birthday is here and the fighting over the construction train thingy and the dinosaurs has already started...

Glad it's not just me winging it Grin

Cupcakes I have a close caboo which is a stretchy wrap and great for tiny babies. I also have a manduca which I'll switch to when ds is a few months old. Do you have a sling library near you? As it's best to try lots on and see what fits you best. I'd use a sling all of the time if I could, I love having a warm snuggly baby next to me Smile

Congratulations Cupcakes!
Happy birthday SnozzDD and Ivy!

We're also "faking it til we make it". Bit of a shock today as DH back to work after lovely long hol so on my tod with kids again.

DD threatening to crawl imminently which will change it up a notch :-)

DS also refusing to potty train, glad it's not just us! He was keen a couple months ago then changed his mind! I've told him he needs to start on Sunday after his birthday :-)

Happy new year all! Haven't been here for aaaaages.

Congratulations cupcakes! V exciting. Get ready for the madness! How are you feeling?

Happy birthday Ivy for the other day and Dan for today!

How was everyone's Christmases? Ours was good although blighted by illness and epic tantrums. Was quite pleased to take DD1 to preschool this morning I have to say Blush

Potty training is going better finally after MONTHS of trying. We have the occasional accident but mostly DD has got it. Never in a million years did I think it would take this long though.

Wow meringue, DD nearly crawling Shock! My DD2 is happily sitting on her backside like her big sister and I can see she's going to be another bum-shuffler Hmm. She likes standing up and holding on to things if I help her but otherwise is firmly rooted to her bum. Oh well.

Trying to organise a birthday party for DD1 for the end of the month. She's demanded requested a bloody Frozen birthday cake. Waaaaaaah.

Hi Tugs! Nothing really, slightly sore boobs but that's it. Didn't get many symptoms with Ds either.

Best of luck with the Frozen birthday cake. DS wants a "pirate boat" Hmm

hello all,

congratulations and happy birthdays all round.

Christmas has been hard this year, probably harder than last year, but dd enjoyed herself and loved having her cousins all around her. potty training done here in the summer, but how on earth do you do it at night? x

RatOnnaStick · 05/01/2016 19:46

Hi Salt glad Your dd had a good Christmas at least. I can u n't remember are you I your own place yet or with your mum? I know you had some issue with a sale falling through.

Don't even try taking the night nappy away until you get a run of dry ones each morning which signifies the body has started producing the hormone to hold wee subconsciously and that can happen any time from 3ish to 6ish and occasionally later. Its not something to learn it just happens. Then just have a mattress protector under the sheet and be prepared for the odd midnight flood. Ds1 managed it at about 3.5 and his friend was still wearing underjams at bedtime when he started school.

Ds1 wanted the Tesco Caterpillar cake last year so that's what he got. Five quid thank you very much!

Happy birthday Dan Cake hope he enjoyed his day

Happy birthday to all the little ones Cake

Today was less successful as ds decided he was starving and screamed as soon as I got dd from nursery, then the buggy board broke. I gave up and took them both to a cafe on the way home and dd had beans on toast for dinner while ds had boob. Luckily dp works locally so we waited till he finished then got him to come and rescue us Blush

Dd still wears nappies at night and they are always wet in the morning.

I am going out with them both in the car for the first time tomorrow - wish me luck!

we are in our own place now. pleased but the stress of buying and moving has really taken it out of me. thanks for advice on night dryness .... at least that is one worry to strike off the list. floss off nursery today as not well, and also has developed a stammer that comes and goes over the last month. I am of course blaming myself for being a shit stressed out mom. hats off to those coping with two or more!!! x
