Good news I mean...not run

peardrop2 · 20/03/2016 07:09

Morning Smile Just realised that I never updated you on how telling my sister my baby news went! She's been great, TG!!! Completely different to the first time round and things haven't changed at all, so far. She actually has been really lovely and has been asking me lots of questions about the baby. I am so happy because it was really hard with her disappearing for 9 months the first time. She actually came over yesterday to do "Easter craft" with us which was a lot of fun. She's even sent me a link to help me organise the art cupboard better as its in a bit of a state and I said that I needed some inspiration to sort it out.

I've realised I've got so much de-cluttering to do this spring Shock Like, a serious amount!! It's amazing how having children can just completely take over and I just have the one ShockBlush It's never been my strong point. At least I'm trying to address it though. Maybe I need to make a list for each room as its rather daunting!

Other news...bpear has caught a cold and cough from nursery. Joy Sad

I have now managed to make our first fairy cakes, an egg banner for decoration and I've hanged egg decorations on my light tree. It's beginning to feel like Easter in my house Smile

I've also wrapped up Bpears Easter gift (one dinosaur grow egg, 2 kinder surprise eggs and a dinosaur money box to paint all for £3 because I've been collecting in the sales) and the same for my goddaughter and her brother.

Anyone else got the Easter craft bug on the bus?

Wow frus I will defo be sticking around then!! I can't imagine how excited you feel and her reaction to it!
Good news with your sis pear. Did you opt to tell her in person? Does she maybe know how long it's taken you this second time and feel abit of empathy?

AGnu · 20/03/2016 09:20

Frus will you film the switching on? I love videos of kids reacting to suddenly being able to hear. I'm pretty half-hearted when it comes to lots of things that turn other people mushy but those videos always make me cry! So excited for you all! I know it'll be lots of work after to help her learn to cope/communicate in a noisy world again but Fx it'll make life easier for all of you in the long run!

What amazing news that she'll be able to hear soon Frus !! This is the big week! Please keep us posted! Star

Also great news on the sister-front Pear! Glad she's being more supportive this time around for you and has been coming over and helping out. I have to admit that we really don't do anything for Easter over here other than buy the clearance chocolates the day afterward. Sounds like you'll have fun at your house though! Also sounds like your brain is getting into early nesting mode Wink

DS2's birthday is tomorrow. He'll be 6. Good lord that went quickly. The days are slow but the years fly by. He had a little party yesterday with his kindergarten friends that went off well. He got loads of presents despite us saying "please no gifts" Confused So now we've got like 5 new tiny Lego sets that have already been sprinkled around in every room and under the rugs courtesy of the cats playing with them on the hard-wood floors. Guess which lucky family member has been picking them up all day? Yep. This one. We are also in possession of a Star Wars light saber that has hit each one of the family members in the head when he whips it around and it comes unfolding Hmm I'm ready to confiscate it so I don't get banged in the head again. Oh and DH has decided to take the eldest toy shopping for #2s birthday and I'm (once again) at home with kids on my own. It's deceptively sunny outside with a temp of a whopping 1C. Lovely.

Last day of Spring Break. I'm fucking exhausted. I don't even care about my potty mouth. Sorry ladies. Any other way put and it would be an understatement. I would love to stay in bed all day tomorrow and try to recover from it, but I have so much work that I couldn't get done with the kids around last week. M has poo'd her pants nearly every day. She's got the whole pee thing down but I cannot for the life of me get her to go on the toilet. She'll be gone and quiet for 2 minutes and then come back with a full load.

I want to hit things. No idea why, I've been in a foul mood all day. Church was awful this morning. People kept shifting in their chairs, someone next to me was rubbing a paper cup on his arm, everyone seemed to have a noisy baby with them & rather than taking said baby to the parent & baby room they were playing peek-a-boo & making the child noisier... Yes, I'm fully aware that IABU but I'm just so angry with everyone & everything. No hormonal milestone to explain it, I'm just plain cross & shouty today. AngryBlush

Sorry, I really needed to rant... I'll come back & chat tomorrow... If nothing else, Frus's day should cheer me up! Smile

Totally understandable Agnu I felt like I was (still am) in a funk all day too. Just irrationally irritable. Hope some sleep will help!

Yay yay yay! Best wishes for tomorrow for you and your DD Frus!

bringonthetrumpets · 21/03/2016 15:19

Exciting! How'd it go? I know I'm 5 hrs behind you guys....so late to the game.

peardrop2 · 21/03/2016 15:57

Eeeek....came on for the update Smile

Kitty - I ended up telling my sister after we went swimming with bpear. She looked slightly emotional in a tearful way which threw me a bit but I asked her later if she was OK and she said she was very happy for me. Since then she's been asking lots of interested questions and hasn't treated me any different. I think now that I have bpear that has helped a lot. I also went to the cinema with her the day after so maybe that helped too. Also, I'm different in this pregnancy. Much more relaxed and calm about it so far. She must be picking up on that. For instance I don't carry around my "what not to eat when pregnant" book in my bag Grin I don't even know where that got to Grin

Bring - Ha ha, you know it hadn't even occurred to me that I'm nesting! A bit early isn't it Wink

So happy that I've just spent 1 hour in my kitchen re shuffling the draws so that I now have a proper craft corner. Simple things like moving the cutlery draw closer to the dining table and below the plates just makes sense Smile

Come of Frus...Wink

Ha ha yes Frus! Didn't admit to her that I heard it before lol She's really cold so she probably would have found a reason to tell me off Grin She is Amazingly organised but very hard and so young to be like that! However, organised is better then over friendly and nothing getting done! Glad it's not my first though Wink
