Bpear also needs his nap but I know my days are numbered and appreciate every nap we get. I shall miss them Hmm but I'll miss him more when he goes to school...sob!

Lor - Any signs? Will you be testing tomorrow?

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 04:57

Oh and I know staying with bpear isn't the best solution to settle him to sleep but we're so grateful that he now accepts us sitting on the floor. He's always struggled to self settle. It's his weakness. I've got a brilliant eater but the self settling has always been an issue hence why we did CIO when he was 10 months to get him to sleep through. I feel fortunate that he sleeps in until 7am as so many of his little friends wake at 6 and I would find that a real struggle! It's going to be such a shock when I have another child Grin Ok we're going

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 07:36

The next sale was disappointing Hmm I still managed to spend a fair bit but I think a lot will go back once I've sorted it out. No pyjamas and I missed out on Postman Pat pjs too! Kitty dos you go? I'm tired Grin????

Loraline · 18/07/2015 07:39

How was the shopping? Get anything good?

No signs either way yet,.but I haven't got out of bed yet. C is having a lie in apparently! Not sure if I'll test tomorrow or give it a few days.

In terms of sleeping we stayed with C for months too. Whatever works! You'll gradually get there but at least he sleeps well once he's down and that's far more important to me!

Loraline · 18/07/2015 07:42

Forgot to say I think we're converting cot to bed this weekend. He's trying to climb out of his cot - and he could - and we want him in a bed before we go on holiday in Sept. So, our getting him to bed routine may change!

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 09:18

Disaster! Turns out that all the size 3 stuff is going to be too small Hmm Why did I not get size 4? Why is it so confusing?!!!!! The difference between the size 3 and 4 t-shirtsseems to be length but I assume they also grow wider Confused

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 13:41

Does anyone else have the problem with the Next size 2-3 t-shirts being too long but small and passable on top? Weirdly the size 3-4 is just the same. Bpear is a tall child so I'm utterly confused how this is happening!

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 13:41

Will they grow lots from now to Christmas? The size 3 stuff doesn't look like there is much growing space

kittykatsforever · 18/07/2015 13:52

I was there pear 4:30 but I was 150th place Shock managed to get afair but but no way near as much as usual lots was sold out in the sizes I wanted. In next a size 3 is age 2/3 size 4 3/4 to behonest you may find it still fits depends how tall he is tiger wore 2/3 for two years or there abouts it's annoying when your there first though and still don't get what you want! And they don't really grow much wider actually just taller x

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 19:24

Kitty - thanks for that! That sounds right that they grow taller and not wider...makes sense and also a relief as I won't have to take too much back now Wink From what I hear from others the Next sale just wasn't up to its normal standard for toddlers across the stores! Perhaps Boxing Day will be better but I'm probably not going to go to that one..I say that now Wink My sister says I say that every year lol

Lor - good luck with the cot move! Let us know how it goes Smile

peardrop2 · 18/07/2015 19:26

Also, it's weird how all the baby stuff is bigger then the suggested size but when they go past 1 year old all the sizes become small and you have to search a year ahead your child's age. How confusing!

kittykatsforever · 18/07/2015 22:00

Yeah the sleep suits etc are rediculous so big and I have a 12/18 month dress that still fits kitten perfectly
I love the next sale I just can't help myself lol

peardrop2 · 19/07/2015 00:02

Kitty - I've made a pile of things I'm taking back and I've worked out I've spent £94 on his clothes which consists of t-shirts (long and short), 2 joggers, a warm coat, a spring coat, jumper, jeans and a shirt so I've done well after all. Normally I spend up to£200 though so it goes to show the difference this time.

So, I had a chat with some friends this afternoon about our little settling to sleep problem and they basically reminded me that I have to toughen up! Even after that chat I still cuddled him and sat with him tonight but after 50 minutes he still wouldn't go to sleep so I said right that's enough! It's 8:30 and mummy is going to sleep now., night night and walked out. He went crazy and started jumping up and down in his sleeping bag and screaming loud yelps. DH really wanted to go upstairs but I said no. Today at the playground he demanded to go on the high sea-saw all by himself so I said it reminds us that he's not a baby anymore! Guess how long it took him to fall asleep? Only 5 blinking minutes would you believe Grin

kittykatsforever · 19/07/2015 08:38

Good for you pear!! It never does take them long but you forget as while they cry 1 min feels such a long time. While you are in the room though it will take longer because your a distraction we have so little time to ourselves anyway!

kittykatsforever · 19/07/2015 08:38

Where is frusso she's usually all for the next sale gossip!!

peardrop2 · 19/07/2015 09:34

Frus - hope you're OK! Maybe she's taken on a class of children in the holidays Grin

Loraline · 19/07/2015 10:18

Pretty good night. Dh stayed with him to settle him but he wasn't trying to escape. When he woke in the night he did seem confused so dh had to go in twice, and banged his head somehow but didn't fall out or escape!

No signs of af yet.

Loraline · 19/07/2015 10:22

Great job Pear. They do just chill out after you've gone and C falls asleep a quicker without being distracted by us in the room

peardrop2 · 19/07/2015 13:40

Oh that's exciting Lor (RE AF) fx!

AGnu · 19/07/2015 13:53

New sleeping routines sound promising! Smile

Lor, how long do you think you'll wait before testing?

OP posts:
Loraline · 19/07/2015 17:55

A few days at least. Dh doesn't want to test too early. Wants to wait until I'm definitely late. I won't test without him so I want us to find out together

AGnu · 19/07/2015 21:57

You're so good Lor. I didn't tell DH I was going to take a test either time - he knew I would sometime because he bought the first test & knew I'd ordered some the second time. First time I POAS'd when he was getting me a cuppa in the morning & just left the stick on his bedside table for him to find. Second time round certain people ---- on the TTC thread "encouraged" me to take the test while DH was at work, since the postman had just delivered them. I emailed him a photo, text him to tell him to check his email & then called him to tell him off for not looking at his phone often enough! Grin I have the patience of a toddler when they do that "if you don't eat this sweet in front of you for 5 minutes you can have 2" test! Blush

POAS, POAS, POAS... Y'know you want to... Wink

OP posts:
Loraline · 20/07/2015 07:39

Well, no need to POAS. AF arrived with full force this morning Sad

peardrop2 · 20/07/2015 09:21

Aww Lor Hmm I'm sorry! At least you didn't waste money on sticks! If it makes you feel any better this morning I've had my 6th stupid flashing smiley which means that once again my body is gearing up to OV and then failing and doing it a week later. So annoying and probably the cause of why I'm not falling pregnant and I have no idea how to fix it Hmm

Loraline · 20/07/2015 09:48

Very strange. I'm afraid I've no wisdom to add. No idea why that would happen. Are you thinking about getting checked out? You've great data to give to your gp.
