I had a disposable maternity sheet under my own sheets to protect my mattress if my waters broke in bed and left it there for a couple of weeks in which time it saved the bed from milk leakage, lochia and baby vom. She hasn't thrown up in bed for ages but we do have muslins everywhere now.

I don't wind BabyPis - if she burps she almost always throws up straight afterwards. I wouldn't redo a feed unless he seems to want it - if he's sleepy and happy then put him down!

No idea what's going on with her sleep. We had horrendous nights on Thursday and Friday and an ok night Saturday. She napped on and off yesterday and fell asleep in the garden at about half six. By half eight we were toying with the idea of waking her up (normal bedtime is 9pm). MrPis changed her nappy at 10pm and she screamed the place down until she got some boob and fell asleep again. She woke up at about 5, had a quick feed and went back to sleep and I'm still waiting for her to grace me with her presence. Annoyingly I couldn't get back to sleep after her feed so got up with MrPis at 6. I keep checking she's breathing. I'm starting to worry that she's ill Confused I know I should be happy to have had a good sleep.

RPopz · 03/08/2015 09:10

Keep feeding in bed! You might get some sleep eventually then Smile YY to muslins everywhere.

MiniP still in bed too... I'm trying to keep it that way! We have Daisy Wrigglers at lunchtime and he always manages to nap dodge til we get there and then have a big overtired meltdown and sleep through the whole session... Hmm

Cymraes17 · 03/08/2015 09:27

Feeding in bed is soo useful during the night, I keep a towel or bath sheet by the side of the bed and fold it to put underneath boob and baby's head ( baby B has overflow problems when feeding, its like she sucks too hard and gets more than a mouthfull of milk)
We wind her during the day, but at a night feed i dont and just pop her back in the moses, works so far. DD2 was a no winding baby, she could do it herself, DS on the other hand had to be winded every time, DD1 was like baby B from what i remember.
Baby B has been lovely the last two nights and slept for 6-7 hrs at once! Not expecting her to do it every night, but would be nice. She is more awake during the day, and is very interested in her siblings and the Eisteddfod on the telly.
DD2 has started potty training over the weekend, and so far is doing really well. She's gone to nursery today, I feel mean sending her when everyone else are still at home, but she enjoys and I want her to stick to her weekly pattern while Im at home.
Right, need to get dressed, send DD1 and DS so get dressed, sort out baby B and think of something to do with DCs.

LaLaLaaaa · 03/08/2015 09:30

Could she just be settling down a bit pis? Or possibly she's had growth spurts before and you're just not in one at moment Bd have forgotten what that feels like?

DS is definitely sore - he writhes about and wiggles. Try as I might though I just can't get a burp out of him. I've tried all the positions.

I typically feed in cradle position, could that be not helping? Not mastered sitting up ones yet.

He's so small and crumply still I feel bad hoiking him about to wind him but it's obviously sore

Speaking of which - the gas issue after CS is horrific!!!! I wake up unable to move for the pain! Bump is slowly decreasing and gas coming out, it's such a relief when it happens. My stitches are very sore and Mr La has to help me up a lot

KatoPotato · 03/08/2015 09:35

LA! Post section wind was the worst for me! Peppermint tea and Zantac helped me.

It's because they actually lift your intestines out and sit them on a metal shelf then out then back in again. Duh said I was like a ford mindeo in for a service at Arnold Clark!

KatoPotato · 03/08/2015 09:36

Dh*

DulcetMoans · 03/08/2015 09:40

I'm on my first day alone as DH has gone back to work. I feel very lonely in this now but so far have kept us both alive.

About three hours ago I would have said J isn't really sick but he managed to cover his Moses basket whilst asleep this morning. Then just kept sleeping. Hmm

Your house must be hectic over the summer cym, hope you have some downtime planned!

Glad you had a good sleep wil!

Fleurchamp · 03/08/2015 10:03

They do what to your intestines during a c section? Shock

RPopz · 03/08/2015 11:02

They do what now kato!? Yikes. That sounds uncomfy La Sad

Still sleep regression Pis? MiniP's sleep went completely to shit, no two nights the same... Just got to ride it out I think. Brew Brew for you!

Glad you're both still alive Dulce! Wink Got any plans for later?

RPopz · 03/08/2015 11:03

I've never mastered feeding sitting up and mini is 7 months old! Shock

ZylaB · 03/08/2015 13:33

kato they did what to my intestines?!

KatoPotato · 03/08/2015 13:50

Viroids O is on some sort of daytime nursing strike.

He's screaming at being offered the boob and it's heartbreaking! Will take about 60ml of formula from a bottle, but even putting him into nursing position is making him kick off big style.

Fine through the night, feeds well, but it's like daytime is a no no.

I'm surprised how upset I feel because I was always so casual about BF but I'm really really upset.

WilHarlot · 03/08/2015 14:08

Grin Loving the C-Section shock - especially from those who have had them!

Do you think he might have reflux La? Have you tried infacol or anything?

Anybody watching Witnesses?

WilHarlot · 03/08/2015 14:11

Sorry Kato, didn't see your post.

Have you tried changing positions?

I remember Mini doing that for a while but she got over it. Was a bit distressing though.

Try feeding in different places? And holding off on bottle maybe if possible? White noise/music?

KatoPotato · 03/08/2015 14:23

It's harder because ds1 is off school and rampaging about the house. Hardly calming! I'm more upset and how upset I feel

Pisghetti · 03/08/2015 14:56

Is he getting less sleep in the day because his big brother is around? B used to be hard to feed when she was overtired. Skin to skin without trying to feed her would sometimes calm her down enough to want to latch on.

She's asleep again.

Had to take the car to the garage earlier. It was hit by a recycling truck a couple of weeks ago so it's in for repairs and I didn't get to choose the garage. They've given me a courtesy car. It's a wrecked 12 yr old Peugeot which is utterly filthy. It's done 191k miles and is full of litter. The driver's door doesn't close properly and the brakes don't feel right. It's more a discourtesy car. I'm glad BabyPis has had all her tetanus jabs. I'm supposed to be driving home later from DP's as I have a dentist's appointment tomorrow but I don't feel safe Sad should I just try to rearrange the appointment? Or bite the bullet and make sure I leave huge stopping distances. I also have lots to do at home.

WilHarlot · 03/08/2015 15:32

You should complain to the company immediately. They can't give you a dirty car, let alone an unsafe one. Take loads of photos and spam them on social media if necessary. If you're gut genuinely thinks it's unsafe I'd reschedule appointment.

Actually Pis is right. I remember doing lots of skin to skin and feeding in the bath to get back on track. I bet there is good advice about nursing strikes on Kellymom.

WilHarlot · 03/08/2015 15:34

Oh thought you said insurance company, not garage. Surely the insurance normally sort out hire car? Can you complain to them?

Minion · 03/08/2015 15:41

I'm agog at what they did to my intestines!
Thought I was having a heart attack with the wind in my shoulder!
Jeepers

Holiday going well, weather is shit. R has been the most smiley she's ever been. However the last two nights have been awful. 1am and she's screaming in sleep.

2 hours to get her back down this morning.
Grandma came in and she was sunshine personified!
Tinker.

Gone well off milk now. Considering taking her down to 2 bottles a day. She won't even have 150ml a time.
I'm at a loss

Pisghetti · 03/08/2015 15:53

Insurance company aren't involved - the quote for repairs was less than their excess so they're just paying for the work to be done. I'm such a drip with things like this. I should just call them up and ask if I can change the car. Instead I'm thinking 'but they might not have another car. And they know I need it back by Wednesday and if I'm awkward they might be awkward too. And maybe it's my driving and being used to my own brakes that's making these brakes seem funny.'

RPopz · 03/08/2015 15:55

Kato - I think nursing strike is a thing around O's age. MiniP did the same he'd hardly have anything in the day, and get really angry and fight me off if I tried to feed him. He was really easily distracted and just more interested in what was going on around him. He'd feed fine all night long though... in the dark and the quiet... Angry My friend's little boy also went off boob when he had a cold - might O be coming down with something? Hope this reassures you a little. I don't think this will be the end of bfing for you x

Hi min!

RPopz · 03/08/2015 15:55

pis - I'd take it back just for being full of litter. Filthy beggars.

Pisghetti · 03/08/2015 16:17

I just went into it to take pictures and set the alarm off. Well that's a fucking joke - who'd steal it?!

PixieChops · 03/08/2015 17:22

Lol at your last message Pis!
Omg Kato I can't believe they did that to our intestines, I think I was better off not knowing, I came over a bit faint then when I read that haha ConfusedConfused

Had a really nice day today so feeling a bit more positive. Think it was helped by the fact that I was sat in a national trust park last night at an outdoor concert and had a couple of glasses of wine, my sides still ache I was laughing that hard at random stuff (some people take it very seriously and take vases with flowers for their picnics-some people were dressed in bow ties and full dinner suits)
MIL looked after the kids, P was fine but R just cried and cried and cried! As soon as we got back though he fell asleep and slept from 11:45- 5am, woke up for about 15 mins for a feed and slept till 8:30am!! So I had a pretty good sleep GrinSmile????????????????
Been to see the childminder this afternoon who'll be having P once a week, she's really nice and P seems to really like her which is good, she's going on Friday this week and I'm a bit nervous about her going but it'll do her good.

ZylaB · 03/08/2015 18:15

First week doing slimming world, lost 5lb! I now it won't be that much next week, just my body being shocked at actually dieting lol.

H is asleep and I dunno whether to wake her up so she still goes down at 8.30ish...hmmm
