We've no time for JSing. We're battling green nappies, sleepless nights, x-box playing men and trying to hide our sling addictions. Fuck it, let's do a runner on a golf cart.

min POAS!!

Am in similar situation waiting for DH. Not that she's been too bad, still cling and cluster feeding all day, DH promised to be back from work at 7.30 and he wasn't here last night so I neeeeeds 10mins, much as I love her :)

WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 19:21

I came up for a half hour lie down but can hear the toddler kicking off downstairs so best get up. Migraine averted by well timed painkillers and half an hour's peace.

Min could you actually be upduffed? How was the nursery you saw btw?

Has anyone heard from Lauren?

Minion · 17/04/2015 19:33

Nah I don't think so, I took a OV stick just to see as it worked all the way for me before, a line came up.
I panicked.
Until I realised there was supposed to be a control line.
Phew
Bullet dodged.

The nursery was good yeah. Think we will crack on with that one. It's on the way to both our works and is flexi with my job, which is the biggest thing.

£50 a day tho!

WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 19:43

Oof that's not cheap! Are you going back full time?

RPopz · 17/04/2015 20:58

Christ! I'm pretty tempted to go back part time at the moment. Will you still do long haul stuff? How would that work with child care?

Pisghetti · 17/04/2015 23:04

I would love to go back part time with less travelling and in a different job

What's the view on dummies? BabyPis absolutely loathes car journeys but I found she was happy to suck on my knuckle during a particularly vocal protest a couple of days ago. DP agreed we should maybe try a dummy but now we've introduced one he seems determined to minimise the time she has it.

WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 23:43

Micro took one for about a month. Found it really helpful in getting her off for naps. Took it away once she'd got to sleep so that she wasn't waking up looking for it. For no known reason she just decided she didn't like it anymore and it's a bit of a pain. I say do whatever works. If you take it away before she turns one, you shouldn't have too much of a battle on your hands.

Nessalina · 18/04/2015 03:47

We've found the dummy really useful, introduced it around 4 weeks when the cluster feeding became comfort sucking & my nipples needed a break! It's great for getting him down for sleeps, he usually goes off then spits it out after 20mins or so, but stays asleep. It's also great for minor meltdowns where we can't deal with the issue right away (car or when we're out), although if he's hungry he just won't take it. Sometimes he just gets in a mood and cries for no good reason, so we give him the dummy, and he spits it out after 2mins perfectly happy again... Weird boy!

ZylaB · 18/04/2015 04:20

We tried getting her to use one and still do from time to time, but she spits it out most of the time. I think the view is, if they work they can be ace! ;)

Pisghetti · 18/04/2015 04:37

Thanks ladies. I'm happy with her having one if it makes her happy when all she wants is a comfort suck. DP thinks she'll get addicted Hmm she's currently wiiiide awake having aforementioned comfort suck. My boob has been rejected Shock

Pisghetti · 18/04/2015 05:00

Boob accepted again Smile yaaaaawn

FurryScoob · 18/04/2015 07:44

We used a dummy to get miniscoob to nap in the beginning & I was worried about her getting addicted to it but in the last few weeks she's started taking it out herself & holding it while she falls asleep Confused I was worried about a battle to get her to sleep without it but looks like she's sorted that out for herself.

After melting stuff in the steralizer that couldn't go in it & keeping me awake ALL Thursday night with his snoring Mrfurry came in from his night shift this morning & woke miniscoob up at 5.30 so were now up for the day. I'm laying a new lawn today with my mum, I'm sooooo tempted to plant him under it! Angry

I neeeeed chocolate & caffeine.

Minion · 18/04/2015 09:44

furry s gonna do a brookside!

We use a dummy. Needed to, to help her keep her tongue down. Turns out she's a shit eater anyway so wish we hadn't have bothered. She needs it to get off for sleep but spits it out and wakes herself up.
Last night was god awful because of it. No less than 13 times either one of us were up.
She's again trying to roll in her sleep, and this morning, managed it thrice!
Must have been practicing.

Btw if this sleep regression doesn't end soon I may run away to the circus.
I'm away for 3 nights this week so the husband is bobbing home with her, so they'll see how mental it is (though she has this very clever habit of getting it all out of her system by the time she's at the grandparents, so it makes us look like liars!)
Bugger

Nessalina · 18/04/2015 17:19

Three whole nights away Min! What a treat!
Turns out I don't have food poisoning, it's a kidney infection! Confused I hadn't matched up the Vom & diarrhoea with persistent pain in my left side. So got antibiotics to take, and currently feeling like my body is a battle ground! DH has man flu, so is also feeling sorry for himself, so we've been going 3hrs on 3hrs off with J... Roll on bedtime!!!

JuniDD · 18/04/2015 18:10

She rolled!!! Finally!!

Sorry you're I'll ness rest up as much as u can.

min are u away for work or pleasure?

ZylaB · 18/04/2015 18:34

ness get better soon!

min she'll get better, quickly I hope for you.

juni yay for rolling :)

Minion · 18/04/2015 18:36

Congrats on the rolling juni, we're not far behind. She keeps getting herself in a tizz cause her head is a bit heavy.
Oh no Ness, anyone around who can bob by and take the reins for a bit?

It's work but it's all abusive, so will be pleasurable too. It's a sales awards event and im one of the best sellers (toot toot) and on sales tteam so automatically invited.
I'm using them as my keeping in touch days.
I do love selling though. I only miss that part.
If I carry on flying I'll prob carry on shorthaul only, on a 75% roster.
Unless I won the lotto then I'm off to the Seychelles!
And not with my lot.

Beaut of a day here
Not a cloud in the sky. Slight chilly wind tho.
Not quite crop top and a skirt just below minge level, weather, yet.

ZylaB · 18/04/2015 18:59

Arse.

My hair has started falling out in handfuls, I knew I'd lose some at some point, but it was lovely not having it fall out when pregnant! Guess I'm doing it in sympathy with H Grin

TheBooMonster · 18/04/2015 19:15

yikes ness rest up!

how do you even get the tiny folk to use a dummy, I feel as though I'm doing it wrong, unless I physically hold the dummy E just pushes it out and A did the same :/

Trying to sell 4 of my slings to fund a new woven wrap and a bednest (whilst they're £80 to hire) but people keep liking my selling posts and asking questions but no one is buying Sad

OP posts:
WilHarlot · 18/04/2015 20:28

I think they either like them or they don't Boo.

Baby hairloss is so weird. I wish it would all fall out at the same time. BabyWil looks like a 15 year old boy racer at the front and an old man with a comb over at the back.

Went to the beach today. It was really bloody cold!

ZylaB · 18/04/2015 21:53

Oooh, the beach was brave! We went for a nice walk this morning, was bright but colder than it looked. We're taking H swimming tomorrow morning, wish us luck!

TheBooMonster · 18/04/2015 23:11

ooh good luck zyla

It looked deceptively sunny out today, it's still too early for beaches here though wil

TheBooMonster · 19/04/2015 04:15

E slept in the crib for 5 hours, she had a quick feed and fell asleep in the bed so I popped her back and I think she might have stayed asleep...

Minion · 19/04/2015 06:42

Right Madam can clearly sleep without the bleeding dummy as she managed a few hours last night and this morning so I'm getting rid.
Fuck knows how tho.
We tried her with baby rice yesterday. Loved it!

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 07:07

Cold turkey Min, it's the only way. Hopefully only a couple of torturous nights and then she'll forget.

Good work Boo.

Another shit night here between the two of them. Sigh.
