Good grief Min talk about doom & gloom!

Sympathy on the ebay loss Popz Sad

Boo - I feel your pain, I had a proper stroppy meltdown a while back at my folks because the hot water ran out whilst I was in the shower and all covered in shampoo!! Why do people not have combi boilers??

Zyla - excited that sling was good, I've really got to get on board with them

Nessalina · 17/04/2015 04:18

Posted too soon!

Hope the jabs were ok Wil?

I'm feeling pretty miserable, had a big bout of D&V last night, was going both ends for about three hours Confused Now feeling mega weedy & up eating v.bland porridge made with water. I figure if I throw it back up it should come up easy? Shock

ZylaB · 17/04/2015 05:03

Aww ness feel better soon!

JuniDD · 17/04/2015 06:58

Hope today is better ness

Worse night here for ages. Grumpy baby and half the world descending in a few hours...MrJ was out til the wee hours. Would it be bad to wake him...? It's his fault for being home and disturbing our little ways. Wink

FurryScoob · 17/04/2015 08:11

Hope you feel better soon ness

Hope the injections went ok wil

Wake him up juni Mrfurry kept us awake snoring last night & is still happily sleeping. Shame we live in a bungalow & I need to give the hall a really good Hoover! Grin

Miniscoob keeps rolling onto her belly & trying to stick her bum in the air, she's looks like she doing some weird type of press up while growling!

ZylaB · 17/04/2015 08:15

Wake him juni!

When do they start trying to roll and should I be doing anything to encourage it?

WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 08:15

Who's coming Juni? Definitely wake him if there's tidying to be done.

Hope you feel better soon Ness. I'm really funny about porridge because of the texture and the idea if vomming it back up just brought me out in a sweat.

Min, I leave the HV feeling far shitter than I went in, every time I go. It's either problems with MiniWil or this one doesn't weigh enough. Drives me bananas.

No screaming all night after jabs this time so all seems ok. She's still super clingy though but going to have to get used to being put down again.

WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 08:21

Any time from about four months zyla although could be six or seven. She'll probably be able to do one way before the other. Just time lying on back or tummy. When she looks like she's getting close to it you can put a toy or something in her range for motivation. You'll probably need to adjust ages for milestones though?

JuniDD · 17/04/2015 08:47

I gave him the baby for ten mins while I had breakfast. Very luckily got her back to sleep so lay down myself expecting an hour. 20 mins later he woke us both with loud vomiting. Angry So now no guests but no sleep either. And no one to mind her for a bit while I try to sleep a bit more. Day on the sofa for me!

ZylaB · 17/04/2015 08:57

Think I do need to adjust wil yes :) like to have an approximate idea though.

We didn't do any stretches of more than 3 hours last night. Ah well.

wil with regards to your comment about HVs and microwil's Wright, where is she on the charts? Does the HV understand that it's a range? Some of them seem to think everyone should aim for 50% and that's so wrong!

TheBooMonster · 17/04/2015 09:14

min this is why I actively avoid clinic, convinced my hyperchondriac self that A was on deaths door on at least 5 occasions with their help and yet they missed the lactose and soya issues that the paediatrician picked up on in 5 seconds.

nes we don't have a combi boiler, literally just whatever the economy 7 magics up over night but we have a shower that makes it's own hots (when there is cold to make it with)

E brought up something with the consistency of thick pantsnot last night rather than the watery milk consistency she normally presents us with o.O not sure what that's all about :/ will call to dieticians for an appointment if she keeps it up though!

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 17/04/2015 09:18

That said I think I'm going to have to keep E's hv, she's going to get a nursery nurse in for A to see if she can encourage her speech along, three other hv' mostly shrugged and said they couldn't refer her to salt until she was 3!

OP posts:
ZylaB · 17/04/2015 09:19

boo H sometimes brings up a bit of stuff that looks like yogurt. I guess it's just a bit more digested before she brings it up, but it's not a lot so I'm not worrying.

Also think she's gettign a little bit less gurgly, dunno if it's the ranitidine, or just time. I'm probably speaking too soon and she is almost permanently upright or on a decent slope so it could be that too.

WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 09:33

We've been seeing SALT since after 1 year check Boo so they're talking shit. They haven't done any therapy right enough but we get assessments every six months and have been referred on to another service through it. Please tell me you've had all the audiology referrals though? Is it lactose or cow's milk protein she is allergic to? I heard it was v rare to be lactose intolerant at that age. Our eldest girls sound v similar.

Juni that sucks. I assume throwing up from the drink and not because he's unwell?

zyla she started around 50th centile and is now just below 9th. So I get her point. But she's not ill or dehydrated and I don't really see what I can do about it.

TheBooMonster · 17/04/2015 09:55

wil it's bizarrely enough soya that she's intolerant to, she struggled with cows milk when she was tiny so ended up on Nutramigen, but it was more her slightly premature underdeveloped digestive system that was the issue rather than the milk, she guzzles fromage frais like it's going out of fashion these days but just a whiff of soya and she's screaming in agony

They've not sent her for any checks, she follows instructions beautifully though, her understanding and listening is propping up her speech on those stupid check lists the other HV's were using, so she was just in the grey area where as if speech was separate to listening her speech would be black, so someone comes every 2 months, establishes there has been little development and arranges to come back in 2 months Hmm though since E arrived she has mastered 'and' and 'ra-ra' (for aunty Keira) and has a more developed 'there' I suspect her lack of spoken communication is a choice as she's always got away with signing with DH and I...

OP posts:
JuniDD · 17/04/2015 10:01

Yeah, think he's hungover. He's on a week off so would be nice for him to muck in!

Got the big cot set up in the living room. She loves it.

Am v lucky my mums an HV as I would be a nervous wreck if I had to go to clinic.

ZylaB · 17/04/2015 10:23

wil H started at the 50th centile and I doubt very much she's going to go over the 25th, sometimes they just need to settle to their place on the charts. Is she following the 9th? Cos if so no probs. you know if she's alert and hydrated etc :)

So I tried the connecta again, we went for a walk to get some air and I really do like it, didn't need to hoick her up like I do sometimes in the stretchy. I rolled the waist band up to get her sitting higher which helped, also still using the sleep hood rolled up as a headrest. It's ace, but it is warmer than the stretchy sling so need to keep an eye on that. Just waiting on my backpack now!

TheBooMonster · 17/04/2015 11:02

I think we need some 'babies in carriers' shots to fuel my addiction

OP posts:
Minion · 17/04/2015 11:22

Started...

Minion · 17/04/2015 16:58

I swear to god, if my husband does not walk through that door and take her off my hands, in the next 5 minutes, he best sleep with one eye open.
She has been nothing but overly dramatic today.
She won't eat properly, sleep properly and can't be arsed playing.
When I finally got her engaged, she threw a Bitch fit after 5 mins.
I really need to sort out this feeding on the night thing.
May have to start giving her less so she gets that daytime is feed time.
It's just one fucking chore after another isn't it.
Where's my smiley girl gone?

TheBooMonster · 17/04/2015 17:50

min it gets easier... then they start to enjoy household chores like the laundry fuck we forgot about the laundry and it's been in the machine all day and it gets even easier than that assuming you have the energy to sueprvise which right now I do not

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 17/04/2015 17:51

yes, this wanton enthusiasm for allowing her to do household chores is exactly how she ended up closing my legs in the oven on Tuesday, 2 year old don't quite understand there are still some things they're not meant to touch Hmm

OP posts:
WilHarlot · 17/04/2015 18:01

Ah she sounds like she's leaps ahead of MiniWil Boo.

She's following her line for the last three weeks or so zyla so I'm not fussed.

Have the mother of all headaches after a very stressful afternoon out. Think it might be turning into a migraine. And I have a pissy carseat to deal with.

RPopz · 17/04/2015 18:33

Leap 4 Min? Sad

Hope its not a migraine wil They're the pits.

Minion · 17/04/2015 18:38

He's lucky, walked in 3 minutes later. Now he's gone out for a Chinese takeaway.
I frigging need those calories man!

Still no sign of ertd (had a bit of spotting the other day, thinking it may be on its way).. Nowt.
And now, spots (trying not to remember that's how Madam started), didn't spot then tho.
