Dd1 is doing T and dd2s bedtimes. I'm sitting on my bed, listening, smiling and pintresting.

WLmum · 22/06/2015 20:15

Ouch nutella that's miserable. Thank god for abs. Make the next 3 months all about getting you in good shape. Better sleep, rest, food, exercise etc. it's your turn now.

halestone · 22/06/2015 20:26

NutellaThanks i hope your feeling much better soon.

WL, i love Pinterest.

I hope you feel better soon Nutella, I've had laryngitis all week again it bloody sucks.

I have a skinny Minnie too. All of his adjustable waists (all his trousers have them) are cinched right in so the arse is all baggy and sticks out Grin he has big muscly thighs though like me

MrsNutella · 23/06/2015 15:46

Frazzled laryngitis doesn't sound like fun either. Hmm

I'm hoping my immune system if when I am fully recovered, will be awesome and kick ass on all colds etc next winter/spring/rubbish summer/Autumn.
I'm in a lot less pain today. But worryingly my ear was a bit dribbly overnight and had a bit of a crust going on this morning Confusedthere is still a lot of ringing and it feels like it is full of cotton wool.

I've been told if it isn't much better by tomorrow then I should go and see an ENT because it was badly swollen and the Dr couldn't see my ear drum. As you can imagine I'm fun to be around at the moment I will have to try some positive psychology or something and stop whinging

ddas · 23/06/2015 15:51

With the dribbling suspect you've perforated your ear drum. No wonder it was painful. Ouch.

MrsNutella · 23/06/2015 18:36

ddas would that explain the dodgy hearing (yesterday it was like there was a delay in the poorly ear today it is really muffled unless it is a close up sound) and ringing noise??

halestone · 23/06/2015 21:19

Nutella, Thanks i really hope your feeling better soon, the idea of ear ache makes me wince.

I have put pictures on FB as today we went to South Lakes Zoo, it was very small but they let quite a few of the animals roam free so was a lovely day. We then came home and had an afternoon/evening in the paddling pool the girls loved it. So all in all another perfect day.

Get better soon Nutella. I guess bright side of not feeding is that you can through whatever medication you like at your ear!

And Frazzled hope the whole Frazzled household is feeling better this week.

WLmum · 23/06/2015 22:41

Sounds lovely hales. Much nicer than my day battling the underground.

MrsNutella · 24/06/2015 09:35

beasty I plan to take anything and everything the Dr offers!

Bleurgh! At least I seem to sleep a bit longer and deeper because I can't hear anything if I'm asleep on my "good" ear.
But I definitely need to do something to get me back to proper full health. I just don't know what that should be Confused

WLmum · 24/06/2015 19:03

nutella you need to get enough sleep, good food, some exercise and some relaxation. Simples! You need to put you at the top of the priority list for a while. I know it's hard but you must actively chase health. I'd say start with sleep and rest if you can. Flowers

SpottyTeacakes · 24/06/2015 19:06

Such a nice day today tomorrow is meant to be even better. Despite sun cream ds still has tan lines Blush

He had two ours this afternoon in pants. No accidents and a few small wees on the potty.

ddas · 24/06/2015 19:52

Yeah can affect your hearing especially as ear will be full of discharge. Tends to happen more to kids than adults but sounds like you've had a few issues with your ears. Dr will need to check drum healed over- can take up to 6 weeks but normally quicker. If smells funny see your dr as you can get other infections when it's perf'd.

Hope the sun stays till this wkend!

MrsNutella · 24/06/2015 20:00

I went to see the ENT today. He was pretty nice. I went to the same one I took DS to last week and he was really confused because he recognised me but I wasn't in the system. Then I said that I'd been there with my son Grin and he remembered.
It was funny because I had to keep asking him to repeat stuff, you think he would know to speak a bit more clearly!

halestone · 24/06/2015 21:26

Well Done to F Spotty.

H refused to stay at my mums house tonight, i am slightly gutted as me and DP had been planning a babyfree night for a while.

Haha nutella
Oh dear hales
Well done F.

Barbeasty · 24/06/2015 22:15

I may have resorted to telling DD that getting older was like father christmas- it only happens if you're asleep. If you are awake when it should happen then you stay your current age and have to wait a whole year for your presents.

5 minutes later both DC finally went to sleep!

If DD goes ahead with her plan to get up at 4 am and open presents there will be trouble!!

WLmum · 24/06/2015 22:39

I wonder if I can cope with the extreme untidiness of my house for the next 2 years. Harrumph!

WLmum · 24/06/2015 22:40

I love that beasty! Going off to sleep is proving rather tricky here too over the last few nights.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 24/06/2015 23:44

What did the ENT say Nutella?

Yay for f.

And coal for H! Spoiling mummys fun!

We have a new tram-a-leen! I had £45 of Tesco points and boosted them to buy an 8foot one. So really it was free!

DS loves it and his cousin on his dad's side came round with XMiL to have a go with J. He was very sweet and so excited. It took me back to being 4 when other kids toys are so much more fun than your own!

MrsNutella · 25/06/2015 09:18

Frazzled that is awesome loyalty point usage! Loyalty point schemes aren't the same here Sad but they are starting to do grocery deliveries! Exciting stuff Wink - sorry, slight tangent.

I sort of want a trampoline but I think that it can wait until DD is bigger.

WL thank you. I am rubbish at putting me first but you're right. It is something I need to do. I am determined to be fitter and healthier!
DS' nights seem to have finally settled back to him going to sleep at a sensible time and getting up at a more sensible time (around 6:30) and he still has a 1-2 hour nap daily.

The ENT said everything was fine. It is a bad infection but everything else is normal. I can't remember ever having a ringing in my ear like this with an ear infection but hey ho.... It isn't noticeably better, just a bit less painful. My plan today is to drink loads and loads and loads of water.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/06/2015 17:50

Happy birthday to your dd beasty.

halestone · 25/06/2015 20:32

Beasty, Happy Birthday to your DdThanks

I have been to visit my Aunty who has Motor Neuron Disease and is in the finally stages today. H managed to make her smile though. Then i haven't been able to go to work as we umexpectedly got stuck at my Auntys whilst the Dr came to sort out sedation. And just to top it off my throat and ear have begun to really hurt and i can't taste food. Quite a rubbish day all round.
