New thread for us.

DeladionInch · 06/04/2015 16:13

I'm enjoying it while it lasts!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 16:20

Hmm seems I missed the new thread!

I'm feeling really rubbish. My throat is still so sore, I have one measly white spot on my tonsil and a furry tongue bleurgh. Not sure if it needs antibiotics? Dribbling is fine right?

Dc enjoyed easter and we had a lovely time in Bath.

halestone · 06/04/2015 16:23

Oh no SpottyThanks i hope your feeling better soon. Sounds like you need to see a GP.

I'm so fed up with the house being such a state. T just tips stuff out all day long. I can't expect too much from dd1&2 when T just trashes it again. Sigh.

WLmum · 06/04/2015 19:03

hales that sounds just what you need. delad I'm uber jealous - T can't nap in the day anymore or it messes with her nights.
spotty hope you feel better soon, that sounds pretty nasty.

DeladionInch · 06/04/2015 19:10

We're still at the too-little-sleep-makes-things-worse stage. Not a milestone I'm keen for him to hit early tbh

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 19:56

WL I feel the same. Dd is finally at an age where she doesn't usually make much mess/can clear up but ds is so messy!

Barbeasty · 06/04/2015 20:07

Spotty we've been told with DR that white spots on the tonsils mean it's bacterial so antibiotics will help, especially if you've had it for a while.

A was about to drop off when my dad arrived (in fairness it was about half an hour before lunch), so he was pretty tired by bed time. Apart from him squeezing half a tube of toothpaste over the carpet it went well. Pink toothpaste. Beige carpet.

My weekly team meeting at work (early Monday morning each week) now has a what did Barbeasty's children do to her house this weekend slot.

A's new phrase is "that's fun".

Hope you're feeling okay Hales, and get better soon Spotty.

Barbeasty · 06/04/2015 20:09

A is tidier than DD. He makes more mess, but can't really be my child becuase he enjoys tidying up.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 20:13

Ds says 'I'm bored and hungry' Grin got that from dd!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 20:14

Thanks beasty if I still have it Friday I'll get someone at work to have a look.

halestone · 07/04/2015 10:05

H is covered in a rash i mean from head to toe. But she seems ok in herself has abit of a cold but nothing i'm worried about and isn't eating well but has always been like that. Do you think it could just be the end of a cold rash? She does normally get a rash on her belly or legs when shes getting over a virus. I just haven't seen it all over her before.

OP posts:
DeladionInch · 07/04/2015 12:24

Could be viral, but Scarlet Fever is doing the rounds here too. I don't know what the other symptoms are though...

halestone · 07/04/2015 12:47

Thank You Delad i have just googled Scarlet Fever Rash and it isn't that bad, must be viral.

OP posts:
DeladionInch · 07/04/2015 13:01

Phew!

WLmum · 07/04/2015 18:46

hales fx it isn't scarlet fever, it's nasty. Check her tongue frequently - if it's like a strawberry it's scarlet fever, and if her fingers and toes start to peel, it was scarlet fever. If she has it she will need antibs even if she seems ok.
Idiot DH left T alone upstairs to wash her hands. Cue water coming through the ceiling. Idiot.

Barbeasty · 07/04/2015 20:50

Oh no WL. I thought our toothpaste on the carpet incident was bad, and A does like to wash his hands, but so far (desperately grabbing any wood I can find) nothing like that.

A's adamant that he was flying around MIL's garden today. Not DD, just A. Flying.

halestone · 07/04/2015 20:54

Oh no WLShock i hope its easily fixed Thanks

Beasty i love listening to the things they come out with at this age. H told me a story about witches amd beasts yesterday it was fabulous gobblydgook.

I am booked into surgery on Thursday afternoonSad Although it maybe cancelled as i am actively bleeding now.

MrsNutella · 07/04/2015 20:57

WL oh shit! Water coming through the ceiling is pretty major Shock sorry, sending you lots of Cake Flowers and strong Brew followed by Wine

beasty I love that your kids antics have been given a slot in your meetings. They are hilarious! Smile

hales I hope H is feeling ok and the rash isn't anything serious.

We still need naps here too. When DS has had a very busy morning he has a lovely two hour nap in the afternoon. Without a nap he as well as DH and I is on his knees by dinner time.

DH's family still don't understand how active DS is, or that he can possibly be so active for so much of the time. I was asked again this weekend "does he also sit down and do ....(insert any activity here)" my reply after a dark sarcastic laugh no. He doesn't. Generally he is asleep or running around. He might play with something for a few minutes but then you're very lucky.

This week we are all full of cold. Thanks to DS. Bleurgh.

MrsNutella · 07/04/2015 20:58

hales Flowers so so sorry sweetheart.

halestone · 07/04/2015 21:06

We get that Nutella people always want to know what she does to calm down. Erm not much she loves running, climbing, jumping, dancing. If shes quiet shes doing something she knows she isn't suppose to.

OP posts:
WLmum · 07/04/2015 21:07

Flowers hales and a big hug.

I'm sure the carpet and ceiling will dry out. He used pretty much every towel in the house mopping up! I was late home from work and in a v packed train when I spoke to him so may have been a wee bit grumpy - hence my outburst on here! I'm sure my fellow commuters wondered about my angry typing!

MrsNutella · 07/04/2015 21:18

WL you had every right to be grumpy! I hope your DH is ok though too

hales yes, that sudden realisation that they have been quiet for a moment and you have to dash around to find them eating calpol or dentinox or emptying boxes of stuff out always onto my bed

Once I was at a friends and DS kept sneaking upstairs to play with her older DS's trains. It wasn't a problem. But I went up to fetch him and he wasn't in the son's room. He was sitting on my friends bed snuggled up reading a book. Was quite sweet really, she didn't mind. She is super lovely.

DS being quiet or saying "baby girl horsey" are the two things that make me move very quick! Because the second means he is sitting on DD Confused

WLmum · 07/04/2015 22:53

nutella baby girl horsey is funny in a hope she's not hurt kind of way!
Are there any sports classes you can sign ds up to - here there's soccer tots etc which are great for the active los.

halestone · 07/04/2015 23:57

Nutella i also giggled at Baby girl horsey.Grin
