Happy birthday mini spotty

halestone · 16/06/2015 22:50

Yay Nutella, long may it continue.

H has been a nightmare today. We have had, 'me not love you anymore, me run away' a few times from her. Also when Dp wouldn't let her play with the knives 'me getting angry with you now'. Oh and then whilst having a bath 'mum you have fucking big head'Angry I ignored her swearing and just said yes i do have a big head whilst DP had to run out the room whilst he cried laughing.

She is still up now after vomiting at 7pm all over the living room and herself. I have never seen so much vomit it took half of kitchen roll to clean and H being thrown in the bath for a 2nd time and obviously screaming the street down whilst i cleaned vomit from her hair. Then we finally got her to sleep at 9pm but she woke up at 9:05 after having a poo and is still awake now.

Oh no hope she's better now! There are so many vomiting bugs going around. Not quite sure how we've avoided it.
Happy birthday to your dd spotty in ideal world would love a 3rd in a couple of years but not sure how we would afford everything. Reckon relationships with siblings has a lot to do with the individual personalities rather than birth order. Plus always making sure everyone valued and included. Would worry about a 3rd dc being so much younger than the other 2 as we've still leave it quite a few more years and them feeling like the odd one out but reckon it's what you make of it.

WLmum · 17/06/2015 09:16

ddas definitely what you make of it - a friend has a 20 year age gap between her and her eldest sister and they are very close.
hales I hope H is ok and that you all managed to get some sleep. The big head comment did make me smile. Kids are so brutal!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2015 09:20

Ds was touching my bum this morning and dd said 'F, should I teach you about private parts?' Grin

halestone · 17/06/2015 10:13

Apparently the vomit was a one off so we've been lucky and she seems in a better mood today. I am hoping for no swear words today either.

Happy Birthday to Dd Spotty Thanks

Cake all round

I think we might be making the jump to pyjamas and pants over night imminently Shock

ddas · 17/06/2015 21:18

Scary! Ds went from dry at night to dry night too very quickly but dd seems to be taking longer. Dry daytime since from when turned 2 but still has a nappy at night. Every morning as soon as she wakes up tell us to take her nappy off as 'she had a wee accident in it'

DeladionInch · 17/06/2015 21:30

R's been dry at night - as in not weeing between bedtime and morning - since 14 months. But doesn't ask for a wee and just uses his nappy first thing, so I'm never sure if it's the weeing that wakes him or he doesn't say anything then just uses his nappy for convenience while he's playing (he chats for ages some days before getting bored and calling out) so I haven't rocked the boat. But he's starting to be funny about nappies and be interested in pyjamas so I shall pop out for puppy training pads and see what happens at nap time tomorrow! He goes through phases of dry nappies on waking BTW, so I know he sometimes can.

Luckily I have hand me down Thomas pyjamas, huuuuuuuuuuuge motivating factor for him :o

WLmum · 17/06/2015 21:31

Go R!

utopian99 · 17/06/2015 21:53

Definitely go R... We're still nowhere near potty training yet as he prefers to use it to store his trains in. Hmm weirdly he's generally dry at night though, but if not capable during the day I certainly don't think it's dry by purpose at night.

utopian99 · 17/06/2015 21:54

Just reread your post delad - if not pyjamas, what does R wear?

WLmum · 17/06/2015 22:15

We're not there either utopian

DeladionInch · 17/06/2015 22:28

Sorry! Fitted nappy and wool trousers. Then long sleeve tee shirt and sleeping bag. So kind of pyjamas in that it's his night time sleep wear, but not the spiderman ones he asked for in tesco the other day. Or the traditional tartan button up ones I have stashed too damn cute Wink

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 17/06/2015 23:54

J's dry overnight and asks for his potty first thing. But I'm too scared to do away with the nappy!

Every night I put it on and every morning I bin it dry but the one time I try him I bet you a million pounds he wees the bed!

ddas · 18/06/2015 06:46

Sounds like j's ready- go for it! (I'd be reluctant too lol)

delad dd is the same-chats for ages in her cot, looking at her books and cuddly toys and think this is when she wees. Think we'll only be able to get her dry when she's in a bed and can get out herself either to come in to us to say she's awake or go straight to use the potty.
The chatting gives us an extra 15-30 mind sleep which doesn't seem like a lot but when she gets up just before 6am I really need it!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/06/2015 06:52

We're nowhere near potty training either. Might give it a go in the summer hols when I have some time off.

DeladionInch · 18/06/2015 07:59

Wet today but I was only dozing so could hear him playing. I might just go for it at nap time. When he started school I boosted his training pants and he treated those as a nappy, so it may well be laziness. The few times he's wet in the night he's been hysterical immediately.

DeladionInch · 18/06/2015 10:37

Hmm, £7 for 30 puppy training pads or £3.75 for 12 pampers absorbent changing mat things. Or a cupboard full of old towels Hmm

halestone · 18/06/2015 14:40

H is mostly dry of a night now but saying that i do take her to the toilet when she wakes in the middle of a night. She also wakes up of a morning and jumps out of bed and wee's in her nappy. I know i could take her to the toilet then but it takes me a while to come round. We want her out of nappies soon but she still refuses to poo on a toilet and only poos in her nappy.

OP posts:
DeladionInch · 18/06/2015 17:33

He wet after nap but I'd heard him playing for a while first so think he just needs to get in the habit of asking. One set of spiderman and one set of Elsa+Anna pyjamas duly chosen and purchased! Luckily the dude on the till was a dad too and didn't bat an eyelid at the "girls" ones

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 19/06/2015 00:27

J toddled off into exMiL's kitchen today and she found him pants round his ankles pooing in the potty. He's funny cos you get a running commentary that is waaaay TMI!

Day off tomorrow for me. Fun mummy and baby big boy day!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/06/2015 06:42

Ffs. I've hardly slept. A friend of ours got beaten up by her boyfriend. The police gave him bail and he came back and tried to kill her dad. They've given him bail again and the court case isn't until October. God knows where he is he's from another country and doesn't know anyone. He just turned on her whilst their daughter was sleeping. What causes someone to do that???
