New thread for us.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SpottyTeacakes · 13/06/2015 06:23

WillYou that's horrible I hope j is feeling better. He always seems to get sick bugs Sad my niece was the same, would get any sick bug going.

WL it must have been weird seeing him on TV!

Hales that's kind of how I feel, it will all click into place.

We had a massive thunderstorm last night!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/06/2015 08:02

Yep he's prone to them I think. This is his 9th in the 18 months since he started nursery!

We're lying under a blanket watching milkshake. He's had a drink and a wee but keeps doing scary little burps!

Hope you and your grandad have a fantastic day Hales. Don't stress about the prep, they're coming to see you all not to look at your skirting boards.

I'm starving but can't really eat in front of J.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/06/2015 08:17

Oh yes hales have a good day!

My friends daughter had gastro and the GP said that she would be more susceptible to bugs for quite a while.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/06/2015 08:20

Ugh I've got a thread in chat about funny toddler tantrums and someone's being a dick.

Basically J threw his hat at me in a strop. She said "I can't believe you'd find that funny, even my 15mo knows not to throw". She'll soon learn how very different a 15mo is from a 2yo!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/06/2015 09:01

WillYou most people are with you just ignore the perfect parents.

WLmum · 13/06/2015 09:13

Have a wonderful day hales that sounds lovely. Dd1&2 have been planning a party for a favourite toy for weeks and today's the day! They're busy getting games ready, then we're going to make a cake and blow up balloons etc.
frazzled I hope J is feeling a bit better today and starts to bounce back. Ignore the dick in the other thread - well behaved babies can become fearsome 2/3/4 year olds. It's all just development, and tell me she's never done something that she knew she shouldn't.
Another reason I need to think about getting another job with more hours and/or pay - huge credit card bill that we can't pay. It's got insurance and crap on it, plus typically some clothes I ordered (multiple sizes etc) but sent all back but refund hasn't hit. Dhs money is going down in real terms so mine has to go up.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/06/2015 09:17

It's dds birthday party today and she's being horrible Grin

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/06/2015 09:29

At 5, Spotty? Shock even my 2yo knows not to behave badly on his birthday! Grin hope she has a great day.

That sounds really cute WL. Hope the toy enjoys it's special day too!

DeladionInch · 13/06/2015 12:21

BrewCake

WLmum · 13/06/2015 17:11

Haha frazzled
Hope it went well spotty

SpottyTeacakes · 13/06/2015 17:23

It went well thanks Smile knackered now. Was £100 for eight of them which I don't think was too bad all in.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/06/2015 17:26

Glad you had a good day, it's always tiring. I went to bed at 7pm after DS' second birtgday party!

I've just nearly cut my finger off with the strimmer! Still attached but grazed and covered in blood blisters. I'm such a dick! Bow to keep a bouncy 2yo off it til it heals.

MrsNutella · 13/06/2015 18:57

frazzled ouch! Hope your finger is ok.
Keep an eye out for that posters threads in a year's time wondering what on earth has possessed her perfect child Wink

spotty happy birthday to DD! 5 sounds amazingly old right now.

DS and DD were in horrible moods today. Probably not helped by the fact that my whole face hurts and is full of horrible slime. My god. I am so done being so ill! I am so miserable. It is little wonder that they are miserable!
DD has eight teeth and I am sure her molars and incisors are coming through... I would quite like it if she took a break from teething but on the other hand I figure we'll be done in a few monthsGrin poor little bugger.
I've got her down to one BF in the early morning and then a bottle in the afternoon and at bedtime.
I might switch that last BF to a bottle next week... Maybe...

I felt sad about giving up her bedtime feed. But she was developing some really annoying habits, lots of pinching and swinging her arms about and slapping patting me. As well as making an irritating grunt throughout the feed at my breast (which she would stop to do...Confused) so it was actually the idea of the feed I enjoyed and not the reality!

Barbeasty · 13/06/2015 19:49

A has worked out how to push his stairgate open with his feet- well, he is a genius! Grin

Can I just warn you that if your child is singing the Nickelodeon Junior tidy up song, it's probably bad news.....
DD did painting. There was quite a lot of singing tidying needed.

It sounds as though A has managed to sneak a harmonica into his room for the night Hmm

Hope today went well Hales ; glad today went well Spotty. We have a couple if weeks until DD's- A says it's his party. It's his birthday after all. ......

WLmum · 13/06/2015 20:03

nutella I think that's a really important distinction - idea vs reality. Well done for seeing that.
frazzled the fact that you were busy attempting a minor decapitation hopefully suggests that vomit fest has finished.

WLmum · 13/06/2015 21:01

I've been exercising everyday to try to sort out the belly but have the biggest desire to scoff more chocolate, cake, biscuits... Maybe it's this job application.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/06/2015 21:41

He was last sick at midnight WL. He then screamed for milk for the rest of the night but I didn't give in as it just prolongs the bug for about 3 days and it's not like they're tiny babies any more.

Ugh Sunday is normally exercise day but my mangled hand has put paid to that. Might go shopping alone and get my eyebrows threaded. Bliss!

WLmum · 14/06/2015 11:58

HSBC are sending me a cheque £40 as compensation for the bad customer service I received! The follow up to my complaint was really good - I would have been happy with an apology but even happier with a cheque!

WLmum · 14/06/2015 11:58

Dd2 and T have been playing with spiders in the garden - pets names tickles and tiny!

utopian99 · 14/06/2015 16:26

I'm starting to hate the mn app. Every other time I try to post it eats it when I press send.

sorry to not reply to others, but am here, reading and thinking replies, if not being allowed to write them!

WLmum · 14/06/2015 20:58

Ok enough procrastinating - time to finish this job application.

halestone · 14/06/2015 20:59

Yay WL, thats great.

Utopian start a thread on site stuff maybe MN will be able to sort the problem for you.

Last night was brilliant, H played outside with the other kids with me not far behind her all night. Except when i asked DP to watch her for abit and went to get some food. My Dsis came in and grabbed me and told me H had banged her head and it looked bad. I ran outside and luckily it just looked worse than it was and H was off playing after a couple of hugs.

Spotty i hope Dd had a lovely birthday.

Beasty A sounds like he is a genius, H just pulls as hard as she can on the stairgate and gets very angry that it won't open.

Frazzled i hope your finger is ok.

Nutella how has DS slept this weekend for you?

halestone · 14/06/2015 21:00

FX for the job application WL

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 14/06/2015 21:11

Aaaaand J's back to puking into a bucket! Bloody bug!

My fingers okay thanks Hales. Pic attached.

Glad H is okay. They bounce at this age don't they?

Good luck WL. You can do it, sell yourself!

utopian99 · 14/06/2015 21:13

Trying again:

congratulations on your genius beasty! And hope sickness is all done with and digits intact frazzled? My best friend's mother recently hospitalised herself briefly with a lawnmower (and is now one finger joint down! Sad)

Hope sleep is going okay Nutella, we're in roughly the same boat, ages wise, so I tend to feel your pain. A had another tooth cutting last night, so neither dh or I got much sleep.

Good luck with jobs wl, it sounds weird but work keeps me sane these days, faced with the prospect of full time childcare!

spotty yay to dh aceeding to requests for dc3! Dh and I originally thought of three, but are seeing how two goes first. Dh is still v keen on three, and we could manage it in terms of space/money more or less, but there are a lot of practical reasons why we'd be more 'sensible' sticking with two.
weirdly, it's none of those that make me pause though, it's just the thing I keep hearing and reading articles written by middle children about how rubbish it is. But then surely that's down to parenting, not just birth position?

Any third children here who can give opinions? wl, what's your take on it? My mum was one of four and loved it, but fil was a middle child and said he felt a bit passed over. Confused argh. I don't want poor little A feeling like that, he's such a smiley baby...
