They are now frazzled!
nutella that sounds like a well needed better night.

MrsNutella · 07/06/2015 21:20

Today he napped - poor little guy was not going to last without it. He went off to bed ok. I'm hoping that a nap every other day might sort him out for the moment. Hmm

But I thought this tale might amuse:

DH just stood up from his chair and I noticed a large purple ish blob on the chair. So I pointed it out and then he freaked a little bit "what is that?!"
so I asked him "are you bleeding?!"

This blob is between his legs where you would find any guys very essential delicate bits Wink
I knew it was black cherry jam from the waffle he was eating earlier but I let him worry for a second before telling him Grin he says I'm horrible GrinGrinGrin

WLmum · 08/06/2015 12:08

nutella a woman on the edge must get her japes where she can!

WLmum · 08/06/2015 13:27

Going to be an expensive month - just been to the dentist - with the next apt it will be over £215 and the dishwasher has packed up - £95 plus parts to fix. Sad

WLmum · 08/06/2015 13:31

And T just half inched my lunch. BUT we didake the most amazing rhubarb and custard cake this morning so I guess I'll just have to survive on an extra piece of that Grin

DeladionInch · 08/06/2015 16:04

Sounds fab, wl, nowt wrong with cake for lunch for grown ups!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 08/06/2015 18:45

Uuuuuurghhh!

Flight to Munich delayed and I'm going to miss my connection. Don't think 25 minutes is enough to clear passport control and get to my new gate.

I feel a night at Munich airport (in a hotel) is in my future!

And XP had done something very nice as a surprise and taken J to mine for me so he'd be in my bed when I got home. Now I'm probably not going home and j is passed out so looks like they'll both be sleeping there!

WLmum · 08/06/2015 18:58

Oh no frazzled how terribly disappointing. I would most definitely be having a cry. Bunk the queue and run like the wind!

MrsNutella · 08/06/2015 20:47

Keeping everything crossed for you frazzled I think you can do a transfer there in about half an hour... Good luck!

I still don't know what to do with DS. Nap definitely does not seem a good idea. Today (thank you Delad). We got him into bed for 6 after no nap today. He was exhausted by early afternoon after a very early start this morning. I really really hope that he sleeps well and long tonight and that he can manage no nap tomorrow. I think that's the key. Getting a few days under his belt without nap so that he can catch up on some solid nighttime sleep. Confused

halestone · 08/06/2015 21:07

WL that cake sounds delicious.

Frazzled i have my FX you make it.

Nutella, i also have my FX you have a good nights sleep tonight.

I dropped my mobile today and have shattered the screen, luckily its still usable for now.

Bless you nutella I really hope so too.
hales argh! I've done mine twice (well once was T). The cake is immense! Hand on my heart beat cake I've had in so long. Will post a photo of the recipe on fb if you're interested. T loves helping me cook and weighing out and mixing.

WLmum · 08/06/2015 22:08

Doh best cake!

halestone · 08/06/2015 22:27

I would love the recipe please WL.Grin

Hooray! 14 minutes to transfer. I was like Linford Christie through that terminal!

I was sick on the plane but it's a small price to pay. Although I am so tired I kind of wish if just given in and taken the hotel! I'd have been in bed about 3 hours ago!

Night night all x

utopian99 · 09/06/2015 06:46

Good effort though frazzled!

Quick question - how do you stop the NEVER ENDING willy fiddling!? I don't care if he does it on his own (and keep telling him that,) and remember my bro even as a teenager storing his hand down his pants to watch tv, but the pulling on it whenever his nappy is off is driving me crazy..

MrsNutella · 09/06/2015 08:36

utopian I hope it is something that you can at least get him to keep to a minimum... Thanks I have no advice, sorry.

frazzled that is a bloody fast transfer! Well done! Hope you got a decent nights sleep.

Well, all being well we finally have our meeting at 3pm today to discuss DS and his sleeps.
I think it's is a phase we will have to get through sadly. Because he is so tired when he doesn't nap. It is really hard to make him go without a nap. Then when he does nap his nighttime is off.
I think DD woke him this morning otherwise he would have slept longer.

I know I am bleating on about sleep all the time right now. I just miss it so much Confused

halestone · 09/06/2015 09:40

Frazzled yay, i hope your asleep now.

Utopian, i have no idea how to help you. I wouldn't even know where to start maybe just a constant reminder every time you see him and he will eventually stop.

Nutella, don't be hard on yourself it must be hard for you having 2 babies under the age of 2 and a half and no family support. I think you sound like your doing an amazing jobThanks

WL i failed miserably today at making Crumble with the girls. It looks like a giant soggy cake ooops.

DeladionInch · 09/06/2015 14:30

Having work done so r is at grandparents. Is it bad that I'm hoping it runs to a 3rd day (50:50) so I get 2 nights off!? Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 09/06/2015 14:38

Utopian ds lies on the floor with his hand on his willy wiggling all the time. I just let him get on with it. He only does it at home and he's too young to understand why it's best done in private. I don't want him to think it's something be ashamed of plus he usually only does it when he's tired. 'Me playing me willy' Grin

halestone · 09/06/2015 17:26

FX for you Delad Grin

Soggy cake mess tasted amazing.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 09/06/2015 21:03

J got up at 4am. That hotel in Munich seemed awfully tempting right about then!

So I've been to work on 3.5 hours sleep and j screamed the place down when I left him at nursery as he was so overtired.

Id say pass the wine but my IBS has flared up and I'm in agony!

Oh we'll pass the iron. Time to tackle the post-holiday mountain!

WLmum · 09/06/2015 21:05

utopian no willies here so no advice I'm afraid.
linford excellent work
hales it's all about the taste, the taste, the taste...! Recipe on fb.
nutella lack of sleep becomes all consuming - I totally get it so whinge away. It's used as a form of torture you know.

ddas · 10/06/2015 08:09

nutella when you are not sleeping it starts to be the only thing your poor brain can think about. Is def a form of torture! I'm no help in that dd has suddenly started to sleep through the night from being an awful sleeper & we haven't done anything different- it just seemed that she decided herself and that was it. Although last few night has been waking up a few times but saying her belly hurts so think something is up.
Naps really muck up our bedtimes here too. Some days she needs one other days can go through the day without one but if happens to be a day she doesn't need one and falls asleep in the car is a guarantee that bedtime is going to be a late one!
On the days I work she is also at nursery or with different grandparents who also do their own thing with nap time so that complicates things. If I can see it's a day that she doesn't need a nap but falls asleep in car I try and wake her up when we get to destination/home as know what disaster it means for bedtimes but grandparents feel bad doing this (probably as they are not the ones dealing with trying to get her to bed!!)
We also had a visitor this morning at around 5am- felt something little snuggled up to me and was ds. This morning he said he woke up in the night and just wanted a cuddle. Awww (but did disrupt my sleep lol).

frazzled sounds like you and exdp seem to have good system now for both looking after ds. Hope things bit calmer for you now.

ddas · 10/06/2015 08:11

Really want to go to a kids friendly festival this year- any suggestions? We are down south.
