Wine WL

I definitely didn't threaten to cancel DD's party as soon as I got off the phone from booking the village hall for it. Not me.

A seems to be obsessed with Frozen at the moment. He asked for DD's book of it tonight. Luckily I got away with describing each picture and didn't have to read the entire thing. It included some tuneless rendition of Let it Go (them, not me!!)

WLmum · 04/06/2015 21:34

Thanks beasty
Don't suppose anyone heard woman's hour on radio 4 or saw loose women today? The author of thre boob book I took park in was on. My boobs were on national TV! I went to a sweet little launch party today.

WLmum · 04/06/2015 22:32

In other good news tesco credit card picked up some dodgy spending on our credit card and phoned me to check - some fucker has spent over £300 on the card and tried to spend a further £600. Tesco were great, cancelled the card, refunded he money and are sending new cards.

utopian99 · 05/06/2015 20:46

Ooh, bastads! And good on the card issuer. On the flip side of that, dh's bank cancelled the hotel he'd booked for our honeymoon as it looked like dodgy spending, and phoned to tell him on the morning of our wedding! he sorted it and I was none the wiser till afterwards, but he was less than amused..

WLmum · 05/06/2015 21:41

Hello utopian! How's things?

halestone · 05/06/2015 21:52

Utopian, you have a good en my DP wouldof phoned me and got me to sort it.

WL, good catch by Tesco.

H cried tonight and begged me not to go to work Sad

Welcome to my world hales! Sad
I have to say I was really impressed with the tesco customer service in contrast to hsbc where I paid in some money and the woman was so horrible I've made a complaint.

MrsNutella · 06/06/2015 10:57

Wl love that you get to enjoy flaunting your boobs and that they even get a mention in Radio 4 Wink

Well, we have a homeopathic remedy for da to help him get to sleep at night. His sleep has been horrific for weeks now. First the shouting and poo flicking for a couple of hours. Then he learnt to climb out. Now he gets out of bed every night several times and comes into bed with me or I spend an hour making him go back in his bed Confused.

Then we are woken by him for the day any time from 4:40 to 5:20 Sad I am tired!

MrsNutella · 06/06/2015 10:59

And I am fed up with a permanently tired DS who I have to fight with over everything!Angry

halestone · 06/06/2015 11:43

NutellaThanks i hope it all falls into place for you soon. Lack of sleep os the worst thing ever.

WL i can't stand putting money in my bank as something always goes wrong and i end up having a disagreement with the staff. So now my dad or DP go but they also have problems with the staff in my bank (halifax) Its amazing how rude they feel they are entitled to be.

WLmum · 06/06/2015 12:06

That's so tough nutella. I really hope you find something that helps him. Would he listen to a story cd for a while?

The boob book seems to be quite well timed as there seems to be quite an appetite for challenging the media about their portrayal of women's bodies. There's an exhibition currently on in London if anyone is in the vicinity!

Barbeasty · 06/06/2015 14:19

Go WL's boobs (or words to that effect!)

Hope the remedy works Nutella.

We were driving to DD's riding lesson earlier and a boy waiting to cross the road behind us was hit by a car going the other way. We didn't see whether he ran into the road or just stepped out, but DH saw him fly through the air in his wing mirror. I heard the thud. DH has to make a statement to the police at some point.

WLmum · 06/06/2015 17:42

Oh no beasty. That's made me go cold just reading it. How dreadful for everyone.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/06/2015 17:52

Oh beasty how horrible Sad

MrsNutella · 06/06/2015 18:36

beasty that's awful! It's horrible to witness something like that. I hope you're all ok. And I hope the boy is ok too Thanks

WL going to any exhibition sounds like a wonderful thing. To do right now Wink
I think DS might listen to a story DVD but we don't have any.... Nor do we have a CD player Shock I have been asking DH for a while if we can sort something out because I miss the radio, having music on etc. we often listen to spotify but it's not the same...

SpottyTeacakes · 06/06/2015 18:52

Nutella I apologise in advance...

Ds usually goes to bed at 6:30 but dh got back with a take away at that time. I thought I'd eat it first as its saturday a late night is fine. Five minutes in 'me sleepy mummy me go bed' over and over! He didn't nap today though and has been outside running around and at the village fete.

Barbeasty · 06/06/2015 19:16

On a lighter note A drank DD's bubble mixture she got from a party this afternoon. He was hiccuping like crazy!

I found a report online that said it wasn't as bad as first thought and that the ambulance had left before the police arrived. DH is a bit shaken. I spent the afternoon with DD at a party at the soft play which was the last place she went with the girl who was killed by the truck in Bath. Thankfully she hasn't put 2 and 2 together!

Barbeasty · 06/06/2015 19:36

And Nutella you might like to rethink a CD player. DD has taken a CD into A which is an elc one of party music. They are doing the hokey cokey.

A surreal ending to a surreal day.

WLmum · 06/06/2015 22:04

beasty I'm very glad to hear that the accident wasn't as bad as imagined.
Yep, CDs are total winners. Dd1 started getting spooked at night at about 3yo so we got her a small CD player and left quiet classical music on all night - worked like a charm and she and dd2 still have it to go to sleep with although tonight they had a kids relaxation cd on - I'm really keen to get them doing a bit of mindfulness. They wanted it on last night but were too giggly. They absolutely love story CDs too although T is too young for them.

I myself am rather partial to the Hokey Cokey beasty so loved that part of your post.

MrsNutella · 06/06/2015 22:04

beasty your kids are hilarious!Grin
I should get some kids CDs sent over from the UK for them. So many things from my childhood that I would love to share with them.

I don't know why DS has swapped from sleeping a fairly reliable 7-7 to this sudden hell. I am thinking it is nap related. Today I was getting him ready for a nap and he didn't want to. So I took him downstairs.
Fortunately DH took DS out for a run (I had taken him shopping with me in the morning and we bought him some sandals and got some lunch bits etc so he had a nice different morning) for a couple of hours. I had a nap while DD slept. I really really needed that nap!!
DS played in the garden all afternoon. I tried to do some gardening around him, that meant I got sand poured down the back of my trousers Confused ; then I got him to help me water the plants Grin he ended up soaking wet and running around the garden naked.

MrsNutella · 06/06/2015 22:06

Adds CD player and loooooong list of CDs to list.

I also love the Hokey Cokey

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 07/06/2015 00:00

Hi all, back home now but zipping off to Vienna for work really early in the morning (I really should be asleep).

Sorry it's shit at the moment Nutella. I have no peas of wisdom. J sleeps or he doesn't. I have no control at all.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 07/06/2015 00:01

Pearls! Peas of wisdom aren't a thing!

MrsNutella · 07/06/2015 07:32

I really do appreciate all the sympathy and advice! Thank you all. Especially frazzled, peas of wisdom should be a thing! Especially with toddlers.

Well yesterday he didn't nap... Last night he went to sleep pretty much when his head hit the pillow at about 18:30 ish (early bed time needed!) he woke and came into our bed at about 2 and picked his nose fidgeted for about half an hour then he wanted DH to take him back to bed. He had he taken back a second time and then he slept.
He got up this morning at almost 7am. It was amazing! I would have slept better if I hadn't had too much nap myself and then watched Dr who just before bedConfused

Hmmmmm lets see how today goes!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/06/2015 07:41

Sounds much better Nutella!
