I'm just eating a bowl of soup watching the dds in the bath as I'm going back my Pilates class tonight - first since before T was born - excited!

We've been on a play date today. I'm exhausted! We were at the playground for nearly three hours.

Ha, Nutella, love it!
O seems to find it hilarious when A pulls his hair at the moment. this absolutely will not last

wl argg to water damage! At least it's your own house, not the flat below or something though..?

O pooed on the potty for the first time on Monday. In his nappy, but at least sitting on it. In his nappy, and for dmil not me, but I'll take anything as a step forward!

Plus yay to loo poo hales! what have we become?

I've asked before, but those with two sharing: when did you move the younger one in with the older? What was it like? Not a little daunted. Confused

We moved ds in with dd when he was def sleeping through so 9 months? Ish. We put him to bed thirty mins before her. We were worried one would wake the other up if the woke/cried but even full on crying doesn't seem to disturb the other.

utopian glad you've asked about getting the DCs to share a room. I'm sort of waiting until DD sleeps almost through... She is getting better at sleeping. Well, when she doesn't have a horrible cough and a cold!

DD is a giant girl but still not really on the move, I've ordered her some size 12-18 months clothes, she is growing so fast! She'll be 8 months old this weekend.
She is trying to get up into a crawling all fours mode - hence DS taking advantage and seeing a horsey ride. I think she isn't daft enough to encourage being sat on so she is still rolling around on the floor. But she squeals with delight at whatever DS does.
DS can be pretty silly and careless sometimes but if he makes DD cry he is really quick to apologise and give her a stroke and a kiss. DS really just doesn't understand that even though she thinks it's hilarious if he sits on her she won't like it for a long period of time so more than the time it takes me to dash across the room and convince him to get off Confused

Utopian i never thought poo on a toilet would mean so much to me Grin

Spotty sleeping through at 9 months?? You have no idea how jealous i was of that sentence.

Nutella and Utopian it must be nice seeing your Dc together. H and my niece are very close and have to see each other every day. If for some reason H isn't seeing DN she asks about her numerous times.

H has had a few dry nights recently and has even woke up the last 2 nights and asked for the toilet. FX that, that carries on.

Sorry Hales Blush I won't tell you how old dd was when she slept through. My mum says I slept through at 2.5 weeks Hmm

I am really enjoying these easter holidays. Wondering if it's all the time off work!

Report
WLmum · 08/04/2015 21:39

hales I'm with you on the jealousy. Mine were all hideously old before reliably sleeping through.
My big 2 went in together when I was expecting T so dd1 was 5 and dd2 was 2. They do wake each other up in the mornings sometimes.

I made a big thing of writing in the red book when DD "reliably slept through the night". I decided that was when she slept through for 7 night in a row- 25.5 months. A was much sooner (past 6 months though)

A discovered why you don't wear a normal nappy swimming today. He snuck off while he was meant to be tidying before bed, wearing just his disposable night nappy, and sat in the paddling pool. He was horrified and freezing!

He helped me choose a dress today for DH to give me for my birthday next week. He may have scribbled on the changing room door because they gave him some pencil crayons and a picture to colour in..... And he ran around one of their clothes racks while I paid.

Hope you're ok hales thinking of you.

Wow to all the sleeping through- it's only in last few months that dd has managed it. Ds was so much earlier, not sure where it went wrong with dd!!

Dd is supposed to be going to a party later and now she's saying she doesn't want to because I won't stay (I told her this before we RSVPd) Angry no way am I staying three hours at a six year olds party! Why couldn't she be one of these confident children who's happy to try new things?! Blush

spotty dd2 is like that, won't even go to friends we've known for years without me. Dd1 used to be but has grown out of it somewhat.

It's so frustrating. It doesn't help that dh isn't working today so she wants to stay at home with him!

Report

Ds is like that but seems to be happy for us to leave after a while once he's joined in & having fun. Maybe she'll change her mind once she gets there.

She went off fine luckily! We made a big deal of getting her dress on and she helped wrap the present and wrote the card by herself. When she got there one of the ladies (either the mum or friend of) knew her, I think she's a dinner lady, then one of her good friends walked in phew! I had said we would just go and see how she felt when we got there.

Ds is eating raisins and mini marshmallows Blush

I got a letter in the post giving me the dates for me getting an insulin pump GrinGrinGrin

Great news spotty
Gird your loins for the school days gang - dd1 has been driving me crazy about an overnight school trip she's going on next week - the packing list is insane. 4 pairs of trackys for 1 night! Oh and the princely sum of £91 for 1 night! It's mental.

ddas · 11/04/2015 21:44

£91!!!!! What on earth is that covering?
