cinnamongreyhound · 29/05/2015 05:02

Yes he went down by 11 and dh knew he'd been an arse! Just up now, so he's done the same 6 hours just later which isn't great when you have a specific get up time. Hopefully I will get another hour!

Hope everyone else has had a few hours sleep!

FiRaffe · 29/05/2015 09:18

Our breast feeding support is on Monday. Unfortunately although I live in a big town in Surrey there are no La Leche League people within an hour of here. Hopefully Monday will make a difference!

Hope you all have a nice day although the weather is pretty rubbish everywhere I think. We're having an inside day today I think.... I need to print off the child benefit form and get that sent off and look at Junior ISAs!

cinnamongreyhound · 29/05/2015 10:09

We are off to the country park to do the treasure trail, fresh air and exercise required before the rain! I have a 9 year old, 3x8 year olds, 6, 5, 4, 3 year olds and a 7 week old today. Hopefully after a morning out walking and playing they will veg in front of a dvd this afternoon!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 29/05/2015 11:28

Wow cinnamon!! That sounds like hard work!! I hope you have a lovely morning. Tipping it down here. Contemplating putting the lights on!

cinnamongreyhound · 29/05/2015 11:40

Got soaked!!!! And have the lights on! But we had nearly 2 hrs out so hopefully they won't be too bored later!

PenguinPoser · 29/05/2015 12:14

Gosh cinnamon how on earth do you cope with them all!?
I'm wondering about looking at childminders as an option for dd when I go back to work but assume you aren't allowed to have as many babies as older children?

cinnamongreyhound · 29/05/2015 13:01

No you can't, you can have 3 in the early years (until they start school) with only 1 of those being under 1 and 6 maximum up to 8 yo. Once they're 8 there are no restrictions and you can actually care for 8's and over without being registered Shock. This includes my children but I have 4 under 5 as if you have a baby you can keep children you're already minding for continuity of care so you don't have to send away your already minding but if they leave your care you can't replace them and therefore only have your 3 standard children. I have more after schoolers than any of the other minders I know but it's only a couple of hours a day and most of them only do a couple of days a week just happens they over lap on a Friday in the holidays!

FiRaffe · 29/05/2015 14:11

Wow cinnamon, sounds a good morning if a little damp.

I have a clingy baby today... wish I had cake to keep me awake!!!!

PenguinPoser · 29/05/2015 21:17

I saw some amazing cakes this morning Fi - went for breakfast and when I was paying these huge cakes were staring at me from the counter. It took massive restraint not to buy some to bring home.

Hope everyone is ok. We have bought a swing for dd today so will see if she settles on it fingers crossed!

FiRaffe · 30/05/2015 05:55

DS just woke up in real pain. He's had some milk but he is still wrything in pain when a wave hits him. He's in my arms and hopefully he will settle soon and I can wrap him warmly to get some sleep.

I am just thankful every time I change his nappy we don't have nappy rash to contend with too!

The swing sounds fun! Do you have a bouncy chair too?

Wineandchoccy · 30/05/2015 06:15

Hope DS settles soon firaffe

Dd took ages to settle last night but then slept for 5 1/2 hours so I can't complain.

I am going to an NCT sale this morning and meeting a friend for coffee and tomorrow DH and I are going to go out for lunch as it's our 7 year wedding anniversary. I hope everyone else has a good weekend.

My cousin had a baby girl yesterday as well I can't wait to have a cuddle I bet dd looks massive next to her even though she is only 7 weeks old.

smogsville · 30/05/2015 07:49

FiRaffe I hope DS settled for you.

Speaking of chairs/ nct sales etc I have just bought a playmat for a mere £12 from Asda click and collect to leave at my parents' and DS seems to quite like it bless him! It's on their website in the George section, by a company called called Red Kite. Just in case anyone fancies a cheap spare for convenience.

FiRaffe · 30/05/2015 07:57

Thanks ladies. Luckily he does like his sleep like his mum so drops off quite quickly after a feed. Wish I could get rid of the bubbles for him though... he's lying on my chest at the moment and I can feel them. These poor little ones have to go through a lot.

Sounds like a fun weekend Wine.

Good news on the mat smogs. Is it just a flat one or one with things to do? At some point i'm going up to visit my parents and going to have to take a load of stuff with me so looking for some easily portable bits! No idea what we're going to do at the MIL's as she has 2 dogs that will want to play with anything on the floor including DS!!!

smogsville · 30/05/2015 08:24

Great that he slept for you FiRaffe.

It's got arches and four things hanging from it. Basically I wanted something that would make me feel less guilty for putting him down when attending to DD and it's more than fulfilled that function!

The one we have at home is perfectly portable insofar as it folds up but I just can't be doing with schlepping everything around with me and packing / unpacking the car for half an hour every time we come down here.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/05/2015 08:56

Sorry to hear your little man is in discomfort FiRaffe but glad he sleeps well generally. On the dog front I thought my little one would be a pain but she pretty much ignores him so they may be less of a problem than you think!

We had several similar evenings wineandchoccy but last night although he was up with us he periods of being asleep and wasn't unsettled between feeds. Went to sleep properly just before 10 so hope that's coming your way too!

Sam has just started to enjoy the baby gym smogsville it's lovely.

How was the swing PenguinPoser?

Woken up feeling horrible, very nauseous, headache and generally bleugh Sad

PenguinPoser · 30/05/2015 09:07

Oh dear cinnamon hope you're not coming down with something! Try and have a relaxing day if you can.

Smogs that sounds good value for a playmat. I love ours. DD is quite content on it for longer times now which is nice.

FiRaffe hope your DS is ok it's horrible seeing them in pain but if he's managing to sleep he must be coping well.

Wineandchoccy your weekend sounds good - enjoy Smile

I am getting my hair cut this morning at last - YAY! Can't wait. DH is taking dd to SILs house while I'm there with a bottle of ebm so they should be fine. Looking forward to a couple of hours me time Grin
Hope the weather holds up later as we are going down to a friends new house and hoping for a BBQ. But if not guess it will have to be takeaway which wouldn't be a disaster apart from for my waistline

PenguinPoser · 30/05/2015 10:53

Oh and the swing - she liked it last night but screamed this morning. Possibly that she was hungry and tired though so will try again later as she's now fed and asleep! Just hope she doesn't take after DH as he gets sick with swinging motions!

FiRaffe · 30/05/2015 11:36

Enjoy the haircut!

kismac · 30/05/2015 15:26

Oh Fi, it's horrible seeing them in pain. Hopefully it won't be long until they outgrow this stage.

Oh no, Cinnamon. Hope you're not getting sick.

Yay on the hair cut Penguin. Enjoy your time out.

Feeling a wee bit emotional today. Just had a cry cause DH said he was too busy to go out for a walk. In fairness he is doing DIY and is then off to the pub to watch football which I already knew about. Think it's cause I've been stuck indoors all week. I've had lots of visitor but Im getting cabin fever. Hoping the family will stop bugging me and let me out next week. I feel strong enough now to lift the pram on my own so wish they'd all stop fussing. Planning on ordering a take away since it'll just be me for dinner. First lot of junk food in 4 weeks. Yum.

FiRaffe · 30/05/2015 18:32

Aww kismac that's okay, we all have sad days. Keep your head up and enjoy your take away! I really fancy pizza but won't be dairy free so not for me yet.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/05/2015 19:12

Sorry your feeling down kismac, dh and I constantly battle over going out the weekend as I've been at home (or very close to home) all week and he's been out all week. He moans he spends a fortune on our house and never spends any time in it. I would say try and find something to get you out during the week if you can and if you have visitors take them for a walk.

We looks like in ill, was sick once and felt awful until about 1. We went out as planned and I had one bite of dh's sausage from the wool festival and I instantly felt sick and had stabbing pains in my tummy. Fell asleep on way back and now I have headache and am cold and shivery and very very tired Sad sucks to be ill at the weekend Sad

smogsville · 30/05/2015 22:06

Cinnamon, you poor thing, sounds like a bout of food poisoning perhaps in which case it will hopefully pass quickly.

kismac I get terrible CF if I don't go out every day so so make sure you put the family straight (although they are probably just trying to look after you). How many weeks post section are you now?

FiRaffe · 30/05/2015 22:44

Hope you feel better cinnamon.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 31/05/2015 00:21

Get well soon cinnamon. Thanks

kismac · 31/05/2015 02:59

Oh no Cinnamon. Hope it passes quickly. Wee monkey decided to cluster feed from 5pm so my pizza ended up getting cold and then I didn't fancy it anymore. Damn it.

Smog, that's me 4 weeks now and my stomach doesn't hurt anymore, just a bit tired and slow still.

Off to my mum's for a Sunday roast today.
