No idea on the bruised boob FiRaffe, sorry!

I messaged you on fb too brummagem, as we're not friends it will go to others folder which you can't see from the app. If I pm you my name you can find me and friend request me, try it that way or you'll need to change your settings so others can friend request you. Ah seen PenguinPoser has suggested the same Blush

PenguinPoser · 16/05/2015 15:36

I've added you Brummagem will make sure you're in the group then unfriend Smile

brummagem · 16/05/2015 18:15

Safely in the grp thank you! :)

FiRaffe · 16/05/2015 21:11

Thanks ladies. Had a bath and it seems to be making things a bit better. I hope it continues to improve!

PenguinPoser · 16/05/2015 22:08

Glad it's feeling better Fi!

Have been out for a couple of hours with friends tonight and had my first cocktail for about a year! Amazing. In bed now awaiting the first wake up.

It's getting quiet on this thread!!

cinnamongreyhound · 16/05/2015 22:18

It's very quiet, I think most have moved over to fb Sad

Lauren82000 · 17/05/2015 00:12

I'm still here. Currently getting my nipples chewed Confused it's really starting to hurt. 40mins after a big feed she is at them again! Everytime I put her down she wakes up wanting boob again. So far she has had both side 3 times. Surely they are empty by now?

Wineandchoccy · 17/05/2015 00:31

I'm so tired and dd will not go to sleep, I've put her in the rocker but I think my arm might drop off from rocking!

It is very quiet on this thread now and I'm not on facebook.

Lauren82000 · 17/05/2015 00:43

And she's nibbled again and nodded off on my lap. DH went to put DD back in her bed and has fallen asleep again he's been gone almost half an hour now. I swear her bed must be the comfiest place to sleep.

cinnamongreyhound · 17/05/2015 02:09

As it's the weekend could your dh take her for a bit so you can get some sleep wineandchoccy? Hope you're tucked up in bed now. Everyone keeps asking if I'm getting to bed early but Sam tends to feed until 9.30-10 anyway so no early bed time. If she's not feeding but just needs rocking though it might be an option.

Is she definitely drinking Lauren82000 or just comfort sucking? Could be trying to increase supply if she is definitely swallowing each time.

kismac · 17/05/2015 03:17

Still here too but last couple of nights have been challenging. Very fussy when put down but we've had a couple of 2-3 hours tonight so hopefully we're back on track. Feel very blah.

Ooh cocktail. Yum! It's DH birthday on Friday and my mum is going to watch Leah for couple of hours so we can grabsome food. Not sure I feel brave enough to drink.

Had health visitor on Thursday and was really disappointed. Felt she was very patronising. Kept saying we were doing a good job and then left a load of leaflets. She's not due back until 12th June. Eh? Feel wee bit abandoned.

Made it to breastfeeding group on Thursday and met some nice ladies. Hoping to make it a regular thing.

DH only has one more week off so going to try and make Bounce and Rhyme so we can do a family activity before he's back at work.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 17/05/2015 03:35

Eugh night sweats!! Just managed 5 hours here! Now munching away but hoping for some more.

Kismac I know what you mean with health visitors. We've got an extra visit next week but only because I've changed docs surgery so therefore hv and when the new one rang up I raised concerns with weight gain that the previous one hadn't picked up. Otherwise they just leave you to it for 4 weeks which is scary!!

DH drank too much beer last night and is snoring sooooo loudly!! Angry

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 17/05/2015 03:37

He just rolled over and elbowed DD in the head! She didn't seem to mind but my nipple didn't appreciate it!!!

FiRaffe · 17/05/2015 04:57

I guess it's getting quieter as we are all enjoying our little ones as well..... and if they are anything like DS don't have much time to check everything!

DH is snoring next to me too and he hasn't had a drink. Probably should poke him before he wakes DS!

Sorry you're being munched Lauren, hope it's at least not painful.

Am up after DS wouldn't stop wriggling. He was fast asleep but trying to shift wind I think. His sheet next to his mouth was really wet too, but he won't let me put him down so I can't check further. He is now asleep in my arms so guess no more sleep for me until at least his next feed and who knows when that might be.

Oh and the boobs are back hurting... wondering about calling 111 today and seeing if someone can check it out as i'm pretty sure it's not his latch

ChickenMe · 17/05/2015 05:22

I like to pop in every few days to this thread and read back to see how people are doing.
Madame just slept 5hrs. I feel normal! Boobs like stones though!
Going back to the gym for the first time this year. I need to-I am so sluggish! We go for walks but I'm generally really slow and plodding so it's going to be a shock. Anyone else started gym etc again?
God breastfeeding is so sedentary. Esp when you have a baby who feeds more or less every hour in the day. Note to anyone just starting out KEEP HYDRATED OR YOU WILL GET CONSTIPATED AND END UP WITH A PILE. Also eat loads of fruit.

kismac · 17/05/2015 05:42

Ouch, LittleGreyCat. Hope your both ok.

Any idea what's causing the pain, Fi. Hope you get it resolved quickly. My boobs are wee bit itchy but think it's cause wee one likes to claw and tickle them.

Good luck at the gym Chicken. Ended upwith csection so no gym for me until after 3 months. Im really not enjoying being this chubby.

cinnamongreyhound · 17/05/2015 05:52

I'm running again ChickenMe, been find haven't lost a lot of fitness and enjoying it. I get a bit sore in my public bone but otherwise good. Have fed little man immediately before I left and still wear breast pads in my sports bra. Only leave him an hour maybe a bit more. Getting more relaxed about it!!

Those feeling abandoned by hv do you not have a clinic you can attend? We can go once a week to see a hv and have baby weighed and I have their number so can call if I need them. Tbh that suits me better but I can understand how it's not ideal if you're a first time mum with concerns.

We are up again at 5.30, doesn't seem to matter when he's had his last feed he wakes at 5.30. We've been putting him in bed so I can doze a little longer before getting up but going to try and put him back in his cot as I don't want it to become a habit. Was up 2-3.30 and he had each side twice in that time so not convinced he's hungry when all he's done is slept in between. The other day he didn't go back down until 4.30 and still awake at 5.30! I'm tired (and most definitely look it Wink)

ChickenMe · 17/05/2015 06:31

I ate so much in the pregnancy it was stupid. I should've been more like you cinnamon and kept the fitness up. Well,I have two stone to lose. Did your boobs hurt when running?
ah sorry you are feeling chubby kismac, is that generally the case for CS ladies then, three months?
Madame does not want to go back to sleep - come on!!! She went down for 30mins..why do they tease us Sad

FiRaffe · 17/05/2015 06:44

Not sure what's causing it kismac but i'm crying in pain when feeding him at the moment, which isn't right.

I'm so impressed with your exercising. I was never very good at doing anything other than walking so trying to at least get a walk every day if possible. Easy to go quickly with the pram but less so with the sling!

Have a very wriggly, squeaky baby. I can't believe how loud he can be!

Wineandchoccy · 17/05/2015 07:01

I've not thought about going back to the gym yet but twice a week there is a pram power walk at a nature reserve near us so I think I will start doing that.

Dd took ages to settle but has slept for 5 hours she is having a feed now then DH is going to take over so I can get some more sleep because I felt dreadful last night lack of sleep had really caught up with me and I felt really emotional Sad

FiRaffe · 17/05/2015 08:16

The pram walk sounds fun Wine.

Being emotional is to be expected. I've cried on DH a lot over the past few days with this painful feeding as I think i'm letting him and DS down. The hormones are going to come out some way!

cinnamongreyhound · 17/05/2015 08:21

The first run I knew they were there if that makes sense ChickenMe but I got a new sports bra that fitted well post pregnancy which helped I think.

Is it like a pulling feeling when feeding FiRaffe? Sounds like it could be mastitis. Can you pin point the pain? Is it warm or read where it feels bruised? If it is I suggest a Dr apt asap, something warm on it and lots of massage/combing the area plus changing feeding position. If you can clear the blockage the infection can also clear. I had antibiotics with my first lot of mastitis but I recognised it early enough the second time and didn't need them, the nurse prescribed but I waited a day and didn't need them after all.

I got him back off at 6 and slept for another 45mins then fed him in bed. Got up 7.45 as I was getting so grumpy trying to sleep and not able to, feel better after a cuppa. Enjoy your catch up wineandchoccy!

Lauren82000 · 17/05/2015 08:42

In the same as cinnamon re the HV. You contact themif you need anything. Just a suggestion but could you ask for more visits? I'm sure they don't want you to feel abandoned.

I gave up eventually with trying to put her down and seem as though I was alone in the bed (DH still inDDs bed) she slept with me. I thought our bedroom was quite cold last night, with it being so windy out windows let quite a bit draft in. I thought she might be cold on her own. Anyway she slept like a log from 2-5.30 and when she woke me up we had been invaded again and had a full bed. Least DH took everyone downstairs 6-8 so got abit more sleep now I'm in bed with both my girls and DH is downstairs having his alone time. Smile Least I'm not rushing out today got a party at 1 but otherwise that's it. Lazy morning for me I think.

FiRaffe · 17/05/2015 10:32

A lazy morning sounds good Lauren.

Am just feeding DS then i'll express and try 111 to see what they suggest.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 17/05/2015 10:35

started this feed at 8am. still going. I need to get up and get started on the lunch prep!!!
