New thread Grin, and I can assure you all, it'll be a corker.

I'm hoping the three hours since worse's last post have been spent pushing productively. Come on, Babax!

Fartypants has been asking for "walking bikkits" this morning. After some headscratching I realised she meant a gingerbread man. Loving the creative naming of things.

worserevived · 10/02/2015 11:24

Still waiting to have waters broken. getting a bit nervous.

WottaMess · 10/02/2015 12:19

Handholding worse. You'll be grand girl. Grin

Plonkysaurus · 10/02/2015 13:11

Oh Worse Thanks hope they get a wriggle on, being kept waiting does nothing for the nerves.

Still waiting....!!!! I think it'll be tomorrow to be honest. Still can't complain. I'm being fed, looked after and monitored and am better off than someone coming in now in labour as they'd probably be diverted elsewhere. Baby boom week?

Anypants · 10/02/2015 16:48

Goodness worse - thought you'd be at the finishing line by now. Like you say, at least you've not got to do much for yourself so enjoy the relative calm before the storm. Fx for something happening soon Confused

WottaMess · 10/02/2015 17:32

Enjoy feet up, a read and quiet tea and toast for a bit.

yummychocolate · 10/02/2015 21:19

worse how are you doing?

Plonkysaurus · 11/02/2015 06:30

I hope you spent the night contracting like a boss Worse.

So. Potty training. Does anyone have any ideas? DS had asked to go to the toilet several times now. I'm flummoxed. We're so good at nappies!

Babax arrived at 9.20pm last night 5.5 hours after they broke my waters. Didn't need any other induction intervention. Was amazed hiw fast everything ramped up. Much much more painful than first time tbough. Hes 7lb 14 with loads of hair and has pretty much only just gone to sleep.

WottaMess · 11/02/2015 06:56

Oh Worse!!!! yay!!!!! Congratulations. I am tearing up for you. GrinGrinGrinGrin

Yummy - spooky post! You must have got the vibes Shock.

That's a lovely size, and all natural too. See, we said it didn't have to end in cs. Well done that woman. So happy for you.

Has he got to grips with boobs yet? I'm guessing so if he's only just gone to sleep. Grin Much love to Mr worse and Worselet. You clever lot! Wink

Plonkysaurus · 11/02/2015 07:01

Oh Worse I'm so happy for you. Well done! oh I beg he's just delicious, and what a lovely size. I'm so glad you managed without any other intervention.

You understand we need a photo of course Grin will you continue to call him Babax?

Oh and congratulations to you and DH. And a big hug too!

shattered the spotlight is on you now. Roll on May.

BettyBitesBums · 11/02/2015 07:29

Congratulations Worse, Mr Worse, Worselet and Babax!!!

Worse well done you, I hope you get a bloody great sleep now for at least a few hours to make up for the last few months days!

Gerrythetootallgiraffeswife · 11/02/2015 07:38

Hooray for worse, hooray for babax, hooray for big sister worselet! I'm so excited for you my lovely, pics soon please!!! Xxxx

worserevived · 11/02/2015 07:42

Thanks guys Smile. Yummy, i must have got your message. I don't honestly know how I did it on gas and air. Oh actually I do! Was too quick for an epi. Wink. Yup he's got the idea of boobs. Too well! Fed for most of the night. Hes def a babax. Suits him. So hairy! Seriously v glad he's a boy. Photos when I get home. Might try to have a couple of days r and r at the local birthing unit first. Oh and Shattered, I can recommend male midwives. Mine was so calming and kind. Got me through transition from hell with minimal screaming. Stayed hours past end of his shift as well so as not to leave me as well. Won't forget that.

BettyBitesBums · 11/02/2015 08:03

That's a great idea Worse, a couple of days just the two of you and getting some rest sounds like just what you need. As for male midwives, we have one and he's just like you describe. A complete star! Glad that despite the distinct lack of drugs you got through it so well!

StormyBrid · 11/02/2015 08:14

Congratulations, Worse! Can't wait to see pictures. Did you have an epidural last time then? I could have told you it bloody hurts without one!

Plonk I've got Evil Gina's potty book here, I'll condense the relevant part if Fartypants McJamface will let me after this cig.

Speaking of F McJF, she threw herself off the sofa headfirst yesterday. Landed with a dreadful bump. I was expecting tears, but no. She just giggled and said, "Silly bugger!" Blush

StormyBrid · 11/02/2015 08:21

For Plonk, eco, and anyone else, Evil Gina's signs your small person is ready for potty training:

Nappy frequently dry a couple of hours after last change (suggests ability to hold wee)
Aware of pooing; draws attention after doing so
Understands and follows simple instructions
Eager to help with own clothes
Knows relevant body part names
Can sit still and occupy self with a book or toy for five to ten minutes.

When all these are in place, potty training can begin. We're still waiting for her propensity to obey instructions to match up with ability to understand them.

Shatteredmamma1 · 11/02/2015 08:38

worse !!!!!! Fantastic news Smile and speedy too. Well done all of you. Hope you manage to get a little bit of rest now. You must be so pleased!! Flowers

yummy Shock guess it will come quickly!! although I feel like I've
been pregnant forever. And make midwives you say? Weren't any around last time but I'll keep an eye out!!

So pleased for you worse!! Has made my day.

Shatteredmamma1 · 11/02/2015 08:39

Male not make, obviously!

worserevived · 11/02/2015 09:32

No epi last time Stormy but it is a lot more painful when they start you off as it's fast. Body doesn't have the same time to generate endorphins. At least that was my experience. Last time gas and air made me sick so I managed without anything. I was lucky!

Plonkysaurus · 11/02/2015 09:39

Worse you sound head over heels for Babax. What a lucky boy. A few days in the unit to just feed and sleep sounds bliss.

Dare I ask the whereabouts of the PILs? I have a feeling the Worselet may require them!

Stormy ta for the info love. I'm dithering a bit. He still seems very young (these days) for potty training, but he can do all of that list. He's quite good at following instructions - like he wipes his own face, hands and willy in the bath. I think maybe a softly softly approach for now - have the potty out for if he wants it, but no pressure if he doesn't. I've read too many potty training threads on here, clearly.

Oh Worse congratulations! Well done and glad you're both ok. Let the fun of two under two begin! Thanks Thanks Thanks
