I didn't get my bfp until 22nd April. I will always remember because it was the day after my dads 50th and he had just ran the London marathon Grin

halestone · 22/03/2015 11:02

halestone · 22/03/2015 14:09

My original due date was the 24th November. Which got moved back to the 28th November and i had her on the 7th December.

Today i have got the garden ready for summer Grin All Garden toys have been disinfected ready for use. I put the bouncy castle up to keep H entertained whilst i cleaned.

I was 2/12 moved to 30/11

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 22/03/2015 16:21

My child is the antichrist today! He's doing everything he knows he shouldn't - smacking, spitting, colouring in the fence with a paintbrush, shrierefusing to go down his slide as there were "spiders" (one teeny tiny fly) on it.

He's just had a 20 minute paddy over a chocolate buttons egg that he's not having seeing as he's refused both breakfast and lunch. I neeeeeeeeeed him to eat tea so that he sleeps tonight.

How the effing eff is it not bedtime yet?

WLmum · 22/03/2015 18:53

Omg 2 yos are annoying! I've just nearly lost my mind with T - she constantly empties stuff all over the floor, stands on everything and today threw a whole big box of small bits all around, refused to help pick them up then when I got cross she followed me round screaming at me for a cuddle! Argh!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 22/03/2015 18:59

I feel you WL. I flipped my lid and have dumped J in bed 5 mins early.

He was climbing onto the back of the couch and jumping onto the seat. When asked if he was being naughty he laughed and said "yeah".

Aaaaaaaargh! They don't even give a fuck if you tell them off. I just get laughed at AngryAngryAngry

DeladionInch · 22/03/2015 19:01

R has been on perma-whinge today too, we got home this afternoon and I shoved him in his cot in the dark while I made a brew. I think the sensory black out helped, actually, because he was calming by the time I got downstairs and when I went back a couple of minutes later we had a lovely cuddle and my happy chappy was back. He's eaten like a horse the last few days so I'm assuming growth spurt

MrsNutella · 22/03/2015 20:12

Delad you may be on to something with the growth spurt. I'm sure DS is due one and he was looking very cute and round of belly lately... But the last three days he has been a fun combo of all the naughty actions described above.

I want my cute little boy back! Not this insanely irritating version of a shrieking, mess making, wall colouring, food refuser/demander banshee demon doo dah! Confused

You know how they break horses in (if you're not a horse whisperer type), it's not pretty. I feel like that. I'm being broken by my toddler. Painfully, the more I complain and try and set some rules the tighter he makes the rope so that I trip and fall.

And to top it off DH has just gone into too much detail about needing a poo and how the poo was ok, not great. Just ok. Thanks DH. I really wanted to know all about that [aaaarrrrggggghhhhh emoticon]

WLmum · 22/03/2015 21:16

Whoa some kind of toddler banding together to rise up thing going on here! Something to do with the eclipse? Like in a gremlins sort of way?
delad def onto something with the sensory deprivation and calming - darkish in the cot for 2 mins used to work a treat for T but now she's in a bed, I haven't sorted a new plan yet.

MrsNutella · 22/03/2015 21:24

WL can you shut her in a cupboard? only slightly joking we have two storage rooms/ cupboards that are pitch black except for a few little blinky lights... I must remember to push let DS in one next time he drives me potty Grin

DH did reckon it s the weather /eclipse/ Equinox.... Who knows! The moon looked awesome tonight.

I've started doing the couch to 5K podcast again. It feels good. I'm almost ready to start trying DD with a bottle. I want some freedom back but I don't want to give up BF just yet...

WLmum · 22/03/2015 21:53

Haha nutella. I noticed the moon tonight, and what I guess was the North Star. I called the dds to come and look.

halestone · 22/03/2015 22:35

WL that was Planet Venus apparently a friend of mine put something about it on fb today. The moon does look fabulous.

It not just my toddler playing up its my DPAngry on what planet is acceptable to give a toddler a nap at 6:30pm whilst i was at a meal with my sisters. Great another night up till all hours and i'm shattered as i've been up all day with her and my neice having a tantrum off.

OP posts:
WLmum · 22/03/2015 23:01

hales cool about Venus, rubbish about nap. I'd be furious! Can he stay up with H or is he at work?
For all her driving me mad, T was v cute and excited about a ladybird that dd1 kidnapped and brought home. Poor little thing - I made them put it in the garden after hours of too much love tea

halestone · 22/03/2015 23:21

Nope hes in work which is a good thing as i would just be sat glaring at him. She has gone asleep woohoo i'm going shortly as well Grin

FX Planet Venus brings the return of non tantrummy children.

OP posts:
ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 23/03/2015 07:07

Hope your got some sleep Hales. A nap at 6:30pm? Bet he wouldn't have allowed that if he was going to be there for bedtime! Angry

The moon was cool wasn't it. I even briefly considered waking J to look. Ha just joking, if rather have drunk a bucket of my own piss than woke him last night.

There's obviousky something going on as they've all gone mental at once. Glad he's off to my mum's today.

J now has a cough and got up coughing at 12:30. I'm shattered after the most hardcore weekend ever!

WFH today, if only a sneaky nap was an option!

How's your DM WL?

MrsNutella · 23/03/2015 07:58

Jeeeez after DS hard fought campaign this weekend for "most annoying toddler" DD has just won "most miserable baby in need of an early nap". She (and of course I) did not sleep very well last night Hmm this morning she has screamed and shouted more than anything else. Now she is napping. Almost an hour earlier than normal. I was going to have a shower... I might have a cheeky snooze instead...

WLmum · 23/03/2015 10:33

nutella grab that nap with both hands!
frazzled was it a weekend of fun and adventure?
Dm is ok thanks, still requiring quite a lot of help as she's non- weight bearing for another 5 weeks. I'm taking her to the dr shortly to have get her hip dressing removed and get some bloods taken - hopefully her white cells will be up. April brings a few apts which should give us some indication of how her neck is post op and how she's responding to the drugs.

halestone · 23/03/2015 15:15

Nutella hope you got that nap.

WL, i hope these appointments bring good news.

Dp has just took H out to the shops i'm all alone Grin

Delad or anyone else who used slings can i pick your brains please? My friend has just given birth in febuary she had an ELCS and her baby is struggling with silent reflux and colic. Someone has recommended she tries using a sling. Do any of you have any recommendations i could tell her?

OP posts:
DeladionInch · 23/03/2015 17:22

Victoria sling lady or liberty off eBay £15.99ish. they sell on for not much less!

MrsNutella · 23/03/2015 17:23

Thanks ladies. I did nap! DD slept a bit over an hour and I think I got at least 20 mins. It was great. Especially because I seem to be getting a cold Confused bleurgh

WL I hope your mum is recovering well from the op. Fx for the coming appointments.

hales I used a Moby sling with DS and DD. I think it's a good place to start they are a great stretchy wrap. I'm not carrying DD so much now because she is so heavy and town is a fairly long trip now, which meant carrying her and shopping was just getting a bit too much. Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2015 17:45

Yay for naps!

WL hope all those appointments aren't too stressful.

I'm really annoyed with a work situation can't start a thread so going to get your opinions.

On a Tuesday morning I get in at 6:45 appts start at 7:10 supposedly with one doctor, head nurse and an HCA. Most of the time there's no doctor but that's ok as head nurse is really highly qualified.

Last week I spoke to one of the partners to say that there's no doctor in early tomorrow and head nurse is on leave. I didn't feel comfortable and nor does HCA.

Managers pa just phoned to 'tell me' (not ask) that the clinic for hca is going ahead as normal and there'll be no doctor in.

What if (in the very unlikely event) something happens? They have totally disregarded my feelings.

halestone · 23/03/2015 18:13

Thank you for the sling advice i've sent my friend a message.

Spotty, its a shitty situation to be in i'd just explain to patients that there is no doctor and that your sorry but all complaints should go to the manager

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2015 18:14

People won't come in wanting to see a doctor it's more if something urgent happens along with the complete disregard for my feelings.
