Both DC like the (re)cycling men.

And their old nursery used to take them to the end of the drive so the children could sit on the wall and wave at the cars driving past. They always looked as though they enjoyed it.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 19/03/2015 20:50

Good luck Hales.

Hope you had a lovely birthday WL.

I wrote a post yesterday but it's not here so must've got lost.

Had a lovely mum n DS day yesterday. Totally knackering but fun. We did all the cleaning, dancing class, b&m, softplay with my sister and her friends + 6 kids, aldi, picked my cousins up from school and went to my mums to play!

Today I had a cheeky lieu day out DS in nursery as usual and went to Cheshire oaks. Bought shitloads of new job clothes and drank a massive chocolate malt in peace. 'Twas bliss!

WLmum · 19/03/2015 22:41

Sounds amazing frazzled
Dd2 has mega long hair and has been asking me got a year to have it cut off so we agreed when she's 5 (in May). Just heard that we can donate it to a cancer charity who will make it into a wig for a little one who has hair loss due to treatments. How awesome is that?

SpottyTeacakes · 20/03/2015 06:49

WL I was going to suggest that when I read the first few lines of your post. I wish we had though of it when dd had hers cut.

halestone · 20/03/2015 10:15

Frazzled that sounds like a lovely two daysGrin

WL how nice that your Dds hair will go to such a good cause.

We have tried to put glasses on H so she can see the Eclipse. She has absolutely refused to do it. And apparently the next one will be when shes 20 years old.

Happy Spring everyone. We're g eat our chocolate eggs (and rabbit) this weekend to celebrate Spring. None of us here are religious, so Easter seems a bit of an arbitrary date.

Hope work was ok hales.

We're in the terrible twos, but mostly just in a refusal to share, and a propensity to push when someone seems to want him to share. Unfortunately all the kids at our play groups have just hit this stage. Lots of shell shocked mums around, stunned their good kid has become such hard work.

Did anyone get to see the eclipse? T just thought he was looking at the moon.

WLmum · 20/03/2015 13:23

stacks that's the advantage of being a seasoned parent - you know how quickly it can all change and back again so don't bother to stress!

The eclipse was so disappointing here. Super cloudy and dull to start with so all that happened was that it got almost imperceptibly slightly darker!

DeladionInch · 21/03/2015 02:05

eurgh. hysteria at midnight because his nappy was wet. luckily I didn't go straight back to sleep because we had 1am puke. dp did sheets while I dunked him under the shower to get it out of his hair. calpol and cuddles and clean clothes and I think he's settled enough for me to attempt more sleep!

fx the sick was a combo of too much dinner and the trauma of a wet bum. he can't handle that at all these days, I daren't take him out of nappies a wet bed would scar him for life! he's been night dry a year!

halestone · 21/03/2015 10:49

Delad how is R? H has suddenly started weeing more of a night as well but has started drinking more in the day so i know exactly why. I do put her on the toilet before bed though and she does wee.

OP posts:
DeladionInch · 21/03/2015 11:43

claims not to be poorly but is in a very odd mood. early nap for him!

halestone · 21/03/2015 14:12

I'm trying to get H to nap shes quite narky today but she got up at 7:30. She stayed at my nan and grandads last night and always gets them up early.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 21/03/2015 14:43

Ah Hales you crack me up with your early waking at 7:30 GrinWink Envy I know h goes to bed later though!

Dh has taken the dc out for a bit and I've eaten a whole packet of Jaffa cakes Shock I want a snooze but I'm going to get over my guilt by hoovering.

Stacks · 21/03/2015 19:32

T has gotten really funny these last few days. Everything is "I need...". He needed banana, cuddles, raisins, to go out in the garden, play hide and seek, to get down from the table etc. He acts like we're be so unreasonable if we don't let him too.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/03/2015 19:34

Dd says (granted she's older) 'mum you're not being very fair and you've got to be fair Angry' I say she's not being fair by not doing as she's bloody well told!

MrsNutella · 21/03/2015 20:34

Evening all.

DS has been odd the last few days too. He has been getting up about 30-40 minutes early almost everyday this week and I think that is having a knock effect but I don't know how to get him to sleep till about 7am like he used to Confused I'm hoping he will sort it out eventually. He was horrible this afternoon Sad he really drives me nuts some days and will try and try and try to avoid doing whatever it is we/he are supposed to be doing. Argh!!

That is all really. Just so glad it seems relatively normal. Confused

DeladionInch · 21/03/2015 21:29

he had 3.5 hours, with a 20 minute shouting session hate that, only way to help is to leave him yelling and it damn near kills me knowing I can't help in the middle Sad

Barbeasty · 21/03/2015 22:12

A needs things. Best one so far is "I need to ride a horsey". And we had a fantastic "it not fair" with foot stamp and arm wave.

He napped for 3 minutes (in the car) today, and then another 5 or so with his head resting on his hands in the shopping trolley! So a bit of a monster this evening.

DD has written her name in black felt tip in letters a couple of inches high on the sitting room carpet! And (much smaller) in blue felt tip on the wall.

A has scribbled on a couple of walls, a door and a door step. And his leg, pants, hands....

I'm exhausted!

WLmum · 21/03/2015 22:48

And I thought our stick men on the coffee table were bad (dd2)!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 21/03/2015 23:17

Oh naughty minibeasties!

J does a fabulous tantrum. Bottom lip a mile wide! Yesterday he was demanding milk at 11pm and I was trying to convince him otherwise and he fell asleep mid-strop! His chin hit his chest, woke him up and he carried on with his strop! It was ace!

halestone · 21/03/2015 23:46

Grin Sorry Spotty, your right though she does only go to bed late, she is still sat up next to me now. That is however DPs fault as he let her have two naps todayAngry This is the girl that very rarely naps at all.

Beasty your Dd sounds very artisticGrin i hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Frazzled i love their temper tantrums as well, not at the time but when looking back on them they make me giggle. I occassionally giggle mid tantrum this however always makes things worse.

Delad, i hope your ok its horrible when you know your doing the right thing but they are upset by it Thanks

WL stick men haha you now have a one of a kind tableGrin

No more work till next thursday Grin then i'm off friday and saturday for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. One week at a time is all i have to do.

OP posts:
halestone · 21/03/2015 23:47

Nutella i hope DS's sleep improves for you soon.

Stacks your description was spot on H looks at me like i am being unreasonable when i don't let her get her own way. She even tilts her head and her mouth drops open Grin

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 22/03/2015 05:51

Nutella ds woke up at five for weeks and ime you just have to go with it. He stopped it himself and now gets up 6-6:30 again. Apart from this morning but he's woken up with a horrible cold.

Glad it's not just my dc who draw all over the walls beasty Sad ds was using a strawberry to do it yesterday Hmm

Barbeasty · 22/03/2015 09:28

Well, we never got rid of the 4' high ladybird DD drew when she was about A's age.

I think that was the point where we decided to leave it and redecorate when they're teenagers!

halestone · 22/03/2015 10:45

3 years ago today i got my BFP with H, its mad just how much my life has changed in those 3 years.Grin

Spotty i hope F gets rid of his cold soonThanks

Beasty you definitely have a budding artist on your hands. She could be the next Banksy Grin
