Ah bless her hales. Accidents happen and it's good that it wasn't more serious. I find Germolene is really good for soothing burns.

MrsNutella · 26/02/2015 14:07

Aloe Vera or honey are also really really good for burns! Poor H. I hope she is ok.

Yes we are lucky with nursery. I'm really glad that DS goes there he gets so much more input than I could possibly do at home.

DeladionInch · 26/02/2015 15:32

r just had half hour hysterics over toast. 5 minutes later he announced "I'm already feeling better" looks like we've graduated to sentences then!

WLmum · 26/02/2015 22:32

We had a great sentence today 'for my first trick...abracadabra!' There was no trick but we were all impressed anyway!

SpottyTeacakes · 27/02/2015 15:31

Ds has a fat lip and dd has moved up another stage in her reading books now on the age 5-6 ones I'm so pleased as I always worry about her as she's so far behind physically Smile

Barbeasty · 27/02/2015 20:36

Poor DS and well done DD Spotty. How did he do it?

WLmum · 27/02/2015 21:46

Great news for dd spotty

We had the mother of all tantrums this evening. She's been a contrary Mary all day and bath time went nuts with all 3 dds - T screamed herself sick in about 5 minutes! Ended up putting her in her cot for a few mins as I couldn't do a thing with her and discovered that she could climb out if she really tried. Looks like we'll be moving her to the junior bed! Eek!

The job peeps have offered me a different date and time for the interview so I'll go and see. That and starting to set up a LinkedIn account have got me all antsy. Think I might need to medidate for a bit for calm down.
In other news, I had my mirena fitted today, it was absolutely fine and less painful than some smears. T was delighted with the WHOLE packet of Pom bears I gave her to distract her and keep her quiet in her pushchair.

SpottyTeacakes · 28/02/2015 05:38

He was taking his coat of, lost his balance and face planted on my parents (concrete) kitchen floor!

WL I'm glad it didn't hurt I found it really painful!

SpottyTeacakes · 28/02/2015 06:06

Ds will only use a normal cup now, no lid. Anyone else? He's yet to spill it...

He's 2.3 Smile

DeladionInch · 28/02/2015 11:22

r is hit and miss. he can drink from an open cup nicely but often loses concentration. so he has straw ones mostly!

SpottyTeacakes · 28/02/2015 11:23

A random man came and helped me pack my food shopping away today. He had a big beard. I think I love him.

WLmum · 28/02/2015 12:34

Haha spotty - was he the delivery man? All the best men have beards!

SpottyTeacakes · 28/02/2015 12:36

No I was in the supermarket. He had just finished paying for his shopping and asked if I wanted a hand packing Grin I hope karma pays him back for being so lovely Smile I was a bit flustered as Ds was trying to climb out of the trolley and dd was trying to get in it!

Barbeasty · 28/02/2015 18:06

A can drink sensibly from an open cup, he can also tip a whole sippy cup on the floor or his bed with the lid on. DD normally has the lid on, because of A, so he isn't so bothered by it.

We had a really good sentence from A today "I need to ride a horsey". He didn't get to.....

He also did a big burp and said pardon me with a perfect Gloucestershire accent, which we don't have! He's a very good mimick, so we need to be careful.

DeladionInch · 28/02/2015 19:12

R sounds very rural sometimes too beasty with his "Moine turn"!

WLmum · 28/02/2015 21:13

T is turning into tantrum Central - big one today because I put the dishwasher tablet in the 'wrong' way! She's got the fury!

Hi kitty. I try to be calm and kind for a while and then say sorry but the dishwasher tablet has to go in this way and keep her at arms length while I just do it, or when she won't get in the car seat I count to 3 and then force her. If we're at home sometimes I'll put her in her cot, shut the door and leave for a few mins. When I go back I ask if she's ready to do x and if not repeat, but most times she is so we have a cuddle and then get on with it. We make deals quite a lot, you have to go in the pushchair to school but you can walk home - this and turns works well as long as I stick to my end of the bargain. When I'm desperate a chocolate bribe can be a life saver.

Kitty i pretty much do the same thing as WL except i lock the stair gate across her door and walk away for my own sanity It is hard but i think consistancy is key at this age. Their like bllod hounds they smell weakness and exploit itGrin

Spotty how is Ds today?
