I've been asked to go for a face to face interview after my phone interview last week. Not sure if I will go - half of me says go anyway, good practice etc even if I decide I don't want the job (IF I got offered of course) vs the other half that says its a day off work and I don't think I'm done with my current job yet so is it just a waste of everyone's time? Hmmm.
Still feeling upset about mil - upset that everyone is upset and that I have to justify defending my private space.

halestone · 23/02/2015 21:11

Hmmm hard decision to make that WL. I think this is one thing you have to listen to what your heart is telling you to do.

Thanks The MiL thing is bound to be playing on your mind especially with you feeling like you have no control over anything at the moment. Hopefully it will get better soonThanks

All things pass eventually hales! Did dp manage to speak to the school today?

halestone · 24/02/2015 11:41

The school only goes back today WL and hes still in bed after his nightshift so will hopefully be ringing later. Although if know Dp he will probably have changed his mind about ringing so that he doesn't rock the boat with exfh ex from hell

Hmm I don't know WL. On one hand what harm can it do? On the other do you want the stress of an interview if your hearts not in it?

Ds just said, as I was putting him to bed, 'love you, mummy' Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 24/02/2015 18:47

MrsNutella · 24/02/2015 19:46

WL it really depends on how much stress the interview would be. I'd be tempted to go along as practice... It depends on your job, your time... I'm quite on the fence really, sorry.

hales hope you gave DP a kick up the bum DP got around to contacting the school.

Spotty that's super cute. I bet that is still making you smile!

DS has said "I love you" but you wouldn't know that is what he is saying he seems to slur it like a drunk person

SpottyTeacakes · 24/02/2015 19:51

This is more 'wuwoo' to be fair. A lot of words he says sounds the same (Kate, gate, cake, bike and tractor, digger, combine or dinner, banana) but I know what he's saying (dh doesn't Hmm) he soon tells you if you've got it wrong!

Barbeasty · 24/02/2015 21:24

I've had "love you too", because he was copying DD.

WL I'd go for the interview, but I'd always go for the interview so it at not be the best advice. You wouldn't have to make a decision until you got an offer.

WLmum · 24/02/2015 21:33

Ah that's cute spotty. T mostly calls me mummy Elsa or mummy Anna - she is obsessed!

Wow - we have a new thread baby! Lovely lovely.

Think I'm not going to go to the interview - it's on an awkward day in an awkward place, and not quite the right time for me. Fx something else will turn up another day.

MrsNutella · 25/02/2015 12:40

Wl good choice. If it's awkward and you're not so keen then you've made the right choice.
And I feel a little bit sad that you are Mummy Anna/Elsa. Not just Mummy. Although I suppose it also shows what high regard T holds you in Confused

DS was playing with his kitchen this morning. We have a giant inflatable helicopter balloon which I want to stab but can't bring myself to, it was another gift from the PIL and he decided to make breakfast in his kitchen for the helicopter. He had a lemon and a tomato to hand so they went in the pot. I offered him a plate and his little face lit up. When I handed it to him he was so happy, it was very cute and he said "thank you mummy".

Then I had to microwave the same breakfast for the helicopter. And all was well. For a minute anyway.

WLmum · 25/02/2015 17:35

Sounds fun nutella. Bless him.
I am also referred to as mummy cat/puppy/monster etc - whatever has popped into her head that morning, but most often Elsa/Anna, and I have to refer back her as baby cat/puppy etc or there's trouble!

halestone · 25/02/2015 21:10

Nutella that sounds like a lovely morning. I hope your whole day stayed the same.

WL, H calls me mammy even though she can say mum and mummy.

Beasty and Spotty, H tells me she loves me and i panic as normally shes done something she shouldn't. I do love it when she says it when we're having a huggle. Her word for cuddle which has stuck in the whole family.

I'm in the middle of a really shit week and today it managed to get worse. So hopefully that means it will be starting to get better from now.

Oh no, what's up hales?

halestone · 25/02/2015 22:09

Everything and anything, it seems. Nothing i can put on here as i definitely don't want anyone in RL stumbling across it.

FWIW i think you made the right decision re- the job interview. Thanks Though as it must of been a hard decision.

OP posts:
WLmum · 25/02/2015 22:33

Fb it if you want to hales. But if not, just have a virtual hug and a long hot bath.
I'm still not convinced re job - I def can't make the offered slot so will offer my own and see. If they agree I'll do the interview, but not if not.

halestone · 25/02/2015 22:35

At least you have a plan Grin a lady after my own heartGrin .

SpottyTeacakes · 26/02/2015 05:45

Good idea WL takes it out of your hands! I think Ds may be getting to the end of napping. Not sure I'm ready for this!

MrsNutella · 26/02/2015 07:56

Hales big big hug from me Thanks
Fortunately after the fun with helicopter breakfast he was off to nursery. He had a great day there. They did some parcour (sp?) in their movement room and afterwards the kids were massaging each other. Not surprisingly DS loved it, and they all commented that he found it very calming.
And today they have Cookie Monster visiting at nursery DH just told me.

I love nursery!

WLmum · 26/02/2015 09:21

nutella I wanna go!

halestone · 26/02/2015 09:46

Wow Nutella i want to go as well Grin

Spotty i hate that H doesn't nap anymore. I miss that hour to myself in the afternoon.

OP posts:
WLmum · 26/02/2015 12:31

We're in that tricky phase of no nap = extreme tiredness, nap = disrupted night!

halestone · 26/02/2015 12:40

H has just burnt her arm on the slow cooker Sad shes been dead brave but i am gutted.

DeladionInch · 26/02/2015 12:48
