Spotty i think you've made the right choice and you won't be the 1st or last person who makes the same decision at the same nursery. Thanks

Beasty i would love to manhandle H into her clothes but honestly she is so strong and can get them back off when i do manage it.

WL did you manage to get a good sleep last night?

This morning i was so productive and DP took me out this afternoon amd brought me a new dress and shoes. We're out at a 70th tonight and i am so excited, the last time we had a drink together was my 30th last April.

I've had a rubbish day, dd has been horrible!

Barbeasty · 31/01/2015 19:39

Hales have a good time.

Spotty same as A. He's suddenly so independent, and really horrible. I think this was the point where we introduced a sticker chart for DD.

WLmum · 31/01/2015 20:37

I've had a rubbish day too! Finding some comfort in your comradeship! I've come to hate weekends. DH now works every weekend, is gone before the dds get up and home at bedtime if we're lucky. We have well meaning visitors every weekend but they just make more work for me and send the dds doo-lally.
Food and bed asap.

SpottyTeacakes · 31/01/2015 20:44

Dh was out of the house 7:30-5:45 not as bad but I feel your pain. The dc get bored and I don't want to spend any money so tend not to leave the house. Managed to get out and play in the snow before it all melted though.

halestone · 31/01/2015 21:34

we've come home as i cannot wear heels anymoreBlush

Spotty, Beasty i feel your pain must be something in the water.

WL, would you be able to ask Visitors to give you a weekend alone next week. I am sure no one would be offended.

Hope you had a nice time hales?
Dm has an ortho apt on wed which will hopefully tell us when she can have her hip/femur op and so start to get mobile and maybe independent again.
No planned visitors tom so fx for a better day.

halestone · 31/01/2015 22:10

I have my FX for your DM, its just nice knowing there is a plan and a timetable in place for that plan. I also hope you get no visitors tomorrow. Is your DH working permanent weekends now then?

Me and DP are glad to be tbh. Its nice just cuddling up on the couch with him, hes watching tv whilst i mn. We are like ships in the night as well as he works Sunday to Wed nights and then i work on Thurs to Sat nights. Its just nice it being us two.

Same hales, since dm moved in DH has worked fri-mon and I work tues-thurs. I hope it won't be permanent but if/when he goes back to variable shifts it will give us a different childcare headache. Luckily dd1&2s school has breakfast club and after school club which would help.

WLmum · 01/02/2015 13:40

'Mummy stinky poo on the stairs' are not the words the mother of a nappyless 2 year old wants to hear!

SpottyTeacakes · 01/02/2015 13:49

Uh oh! Grin

halestone · 01/02/2015 13:50

Hahahaha WL sorry but thats quite funny.

We have H back and she has a bump on her head from going to soft play with my DM. H is extremely proud of her bump Hmm

Having been a nightmare for the last week or so, A was unnaturally good in his swimming lesson with virtually no screaming.

We went to TGI's for lunch afterwards, and he was sick. Luckily I managed to aim him onto my (empty!) plate. He fell asleep seconds later, but since he woke he's been full of beans. Hopefully it was just too much swallowed water...

WLmum · 01/02/2015 16:58

She's a toughie hales!
I've had a much better day today, no visitors so dds been calm, got a bit done, plan now is to have everyone fed and bathed so when DH gets in he can do stories while I go for a run, then our tea in front of a movie I rented for yesterday night but was too fed up to watch!
Hope everyone else had good days.

WLmum · 01/02/2015 17:00

Nice catch beasty!

halestone · 01/02/2015 21:38

How is A now Beasty? Well done on the good catch.

Well H is asleep in her cot, one of her cot sides has been removed and a mattress is next to her cot incase she rolls to far i know pfb

I spent an hour fighting DD to sleep and DH has just woken her I think. Bum holes!

I was going to post more but think I better go...

halestone · 01/02/2015 22:19

FX she settles quickly Nutella.

OP posts:
MrsNutella · 01/02/2015 22:20

The fight was because I'm trying to get her to sleep in her bed. I've decided it is time. I don't expect her to sleep all night I just need some time where I sleep some proper sleep and not scrunched up don't wake the baby sleep.

Anyway, we are getting there slowly. I fed her, she fell asleep and I put her back down and she did not fuss . WOO HOO!!
Fingers crossed all babies are well and sleep long tonight for everyone. Even they are giant raging toddlers and not babies anymore. Grin

halestone · 02/02/2015 07:23

I feel so guilty i was suppose to pick my boss up from the airport at 6:20am and my alarm clock never went off. She rang me at 7 and woke me shes got in a Taxi. I feel horrible i never let anyone down i pride myself on it Sad

Barbeasty · 02/02/2015 08:17

Hales you must have needed the sleep!

A has been fine since. He wolfed down roast duck for dinner, asking for mor duck and potatoes. I think it must have been exhaustion and a bit too much swimming pool water.

But this morning I cane out of the shower and could hear him chatting away. He'd climbed up and got the phone. DH said he'd pressed the "find a handset" button and set them all ringing (3 phones dotted around the house).
He went down for breakfast and after a while I heard a tell tale beep of a phone button being pressed. He had a non - existent number tone going. So I took that hand set away. Next thing I know he's plodding up the stairs muttering about need phone. A need phone. Phone upstairs.
I beat him up there and all the handsets are now out of reach in the kitchen. He sulked!

halestone · 02/02/2015 09:22

Haha Beasty Grin A sounds like he has got a great little character.

I really didn't need the sleep as i had a brilliant sleep on Saturday without H being around. I think i'll have to take some flowers round later to apologise.

Oh Hales that's the stuff my nightmares are made of. I start getting palpitations just at the thought of being late!

halestone · 02/02/2015 10:25

I'm the same Spotty i am so disappointed in myself i hate letting anyone down.
