T is still a long way from potty training but poor sole has got sore flaps today and had cried every time she's weed in a nappy. Not so bothered when it's a direct hit to the floor though! Hoping metanium and fresh air will work some magic.

WLmum · 10/01/2015 22:58

She's got molars coming through.

halestone · 11/01/2015 15:53

Spotty i am also jealous, i hope it comes quickly and that you all have an amazing time.

Well done to A Beasty.

WL, how is T today? its awful when their molars come through.

She's been on pretty good form, found a box of milk tray by dms chair and whipped one before I could stop her, and nappyless most of the day which has meant wee on the floor and 2 chairs! Her foof is looking better though.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/01/2015 06:36

WL dd gets awful trouble with that sort of thing. We use an antibiotic hydrocortisone cream when needed and Metanium (which was prescribed). I still don't know why she gets it which is really annoying as I can't try to stop it.

It's my best friends 30th birthday this week and I've bought her quote an expensive present Blush now I'm really worried she won't like it or will think I'm a nob for spending so muchHmm

WLmum · 12/01/2015 09:25

Surely she'll be delighted to know you hold her in such high regard?

SpottyTeacakes · 12/01/2015 09:30

I hope so! Looks like it's going to be wrapped in disney princess christmas paper though as I can't find the paper I bought anywhere Grin

WLmum · 12/01/2015 10:41

That's what I do spotty!

halestone · 12/01/2015 10:45

Spotty i think she will love it and if shes anything like me she will love the Disney paper as well.

WL i laughed at the idea of T pinching the Milk Tray chocolates.

I ran out of time recently to wrap a friend's present for her 40th so I put it in a gift bag - it was a bit of a joke because I also hadn't managed to buy and appropriate gift bag.... I reused one from a present DS got. So she had her present in a bag with a pirate on Grin

Dreading tomorrow as i have had a lovely day with H. She has been super funny and completely loving nearly all day. Therefore normally the day after she is horrible. FX i am proved wrong.

Barbeasty · 13/01/2015 09:31

Good luck Hales! Hope she proves you wrong!

utopian99 · 13/01/2015 14:48

Good luck hales! Also amused by T on a chocolate theft misssion. We went to visit my grandmother, who was staying in the shard at Christmas, and O shot into her room, nicked two of the fancy free handmade chocolates, threw a load of complimentary bath salts in the bath and then came out again to tell me the loo was hot. (He wasn't making it up, it was heated!Shock)

halestone · 13/01/2015 14:50

I am being proved wrongGrin

I am going to stop her night feeds starting Sunday night. I am nervous but think she needs to be sleeping through the night now, and hopefully she will stop waking if she realises shes not getting a bottle.

OP posts:
WLmum · 13/01/2015 18:41

Great news hales. Good luck for Sunday, I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Maryland2013 · 13/01/2015 19:42

How many times does she wake Hales?!

ddas · 13/01/2015 19:55

Brilliant utopian. What a lovely place to spend Xmas! And I bet great view of fireworks New Years.

Good luck hales. Have you tried the substituting for water as an intermediary?

ddas · 13/01/2015 19:57

She probably enjoys the comfort of the milk and bottle. They say of you change it to water and beaker you are not ignoring their calls but they soon decide that no worth waking for. Haven't had to use it for mine though so no personal experience of it.

ddas · 13/01/2015 19:59

Always get typos on my phone- hopefully you all can decipher what I mean!!

Barbeasty · 13/01/2015 20:02

Hales we put a sippy cup of water on the cot/ bed, so they can help themselves if they're thirsty. Especially if she's used to having a bottle.

A managed a whole day in one pair of pants. No accidents of any sort.

He's been putting a bob the builder hard hat on backwards and "riding" the hobby horse around, saying "A riding horsey." Poor A, not able to ride horses for at least a year but having to watch DD every other week.

halestone · 13/01/2015 20:30

I did think about replacing milk with water but a friend and my sister both tried that and both said it made no difference. She gets up on average 4 times a night can be more very occasionally its less. I like your idea Beasty but i still haven't changed her cot to a bed yet so she would probably still shout me.

A friend did a link to the daily mail today which was an article about bed sharing. There was a Dr from i think Africa who was saying that its better for Children to sleep with their mothers until the age of 3. For some reason it was better for their heart and children who did were better behaved. Made me feel a little better about H ending up in my bed every night.

OP posts:
halestone · 13/01/2015 20:32

I forgot to say well done to A. And beasty i know it probably won't help but we brought H a rocking horse which makes a galloping sound for £5 at a car boot sale and there were loads around.

OP posts:
Barbeasty · 13/01/2015 21:10

We have an ordinary rocking horse and a hobby horse that makes noises. He just wants the real thing! He's done it twice, and hopefully there will be another fun day at the stables in the summer and he can have another go.

Barbeasty · 13/01/2015 21:13

And my SIL's MIL said she took her sons a cup of water in place of a bottle of milk, and they didn't bother waking again. She is quite a fierce woman though....

I think we might have gone in and sorted DD with the cup of water for the first week or so, and left A to be helped by DD.
