hales she's such a character!
nutella it's worth a read, take what you like from it and disregard what you don't. Do whatever you need to do to get some sleep!
St George's have kept dm in ready for surgery on her neck (spine) tom. It's all hideous but I won't go into detail here.

DeladionInch · 07/01/2015 21:37

hugs wl

new name is taking some getting used to I've been pp everywhere for my entire internet life Shock

MrsNutella · 07/01/2015 21:58

Hales you've got it bang on the head there with alllllll parenting is divisive! Usually when I say my kids wear cloth nappies people look at me like I'm a raging nutter hippy. When I show them the beautiful colourful things I have they are usually pretty interested. It's all about perspective and making an informed choice about what works for each of us.....
I hope I'll be better at believing in myself soon!

We have one fancy nappy that is a kermit the frog nappy even though DS is certain it's a monkey bought preloved. It's so cute!

I digress.

WL sending you huge hugs and Brew and Flowers keeping everything crossed for you. Hope you get some good news back after the op and that it all goes smoothly.

WLmum · 07/01/2015 23:03

nutella do have belief in yourself! You are doing an amazing job. Having young uns is tough enough at home, must be so much tougher as an ex pat. You have happy (except when teething), healthy, well cared for and loved dc and a fabulous marriage. What's not to believe in?

SpottyTeacakes · 08/01/2015 06:46

I just slept for ten hours Blush pretty sure that's not normal Grin

Barbeasty · 08/01/2015 07:58

I'm jealous Spotty

Hope everything goes as well as it can WL, and make sure you look after yourself in all this.

A had a good first day at preschool yesterday. DH dropped him off at 8.30 and picked him up at 4pm. The manager said you wouldn't have thought it was his first day. And no reports of attacking people!

But I've forgotten the sling, so he'll have to walk back tonight.

DeladionInch · 08/01/2015 09:51

I'm also jealous spotty Envy

my slings are in the wash Hmm so also hoping for a willing walker later

ddas · 08/01/2015 11:14

I keep seeing dandelion too! We've got so used to the old names it's like seeing a different person ;)

barbeasty glad it went well. Makes such a difference when you can go to work knowing they are happy.

halestone · 08/01/2015 11:23

Well Done to A, Beasty.

Envy Spotty, H woke up last night i think because of her excema and she was scratching for ages. She eventually let met put her nappy cream on it. But in all she was awake from 11pm to 1am.

WL i hope today goes well for your mum.

If i was to ever have another baby i wouldn't bother with a pram i'd just buy a sling.

He walked. And only had one pants change - was quite a shock to arrive and see him in the same trousers I put on this morning! Shoving a fleece liner and bamboo booster into training pants seems to be the ideal as they can use them like pants which doesn't confuse him and is easier for the staff and it means they only have to clean him not the furniture. I did offer to send him in nappies but they reckon it'd be too confusing.

I can also thorougly recommend the boy leggings I got from TJ's Cloth Nappies for potty training kids, btw. They're only £1.99 a pair, stretchy to go over a cloth bum but because they're so stretchy they don't look daft over pants. And can be pulled up and down easily - all the adjustable waist stuff we've got has a proper fly which is a faff when you've got 12 kids in the room all needing your attention! R has Lightning McQueen ones :o

MrsNutella · 08/01/2015 18:38

I love having DD in a wrap but I'm looking forward to her being willing to sit in the buggy more often. it also gives me somewhere to stash all the shopping if I go into town I think when she can sit she will be happy in a buggy or sling. DS likes to go in the ergo on our backs still too.

Pidj I think I have some boosters/inserts that are fleece topped hemp ... I'll bear them in mind for potty training... Sorry, I'm on the app and I've already forgotten your new name Confused

Barbeasty · 08/01/2015 19:22

Well the 1/2 mile walk back to the car was nothing for A, once he got the hang of holding his trousers up with his other hand. Turns out the emergency 12-18 month trousers I got from Sainsburys to cover accidents at nursery are too big.

But he did manage to wee on the preschool manager twice! I've agreed we'll ssend him in pants with a pullup over them tomorrow. Then he'll feel wet but not get anyone else wet....

WLmum · 08/01/2015 21:05

Mum's op seems to have gone well and she seems to be recovering well. She'll be in icu tonight then hopefully moved to a ward tom.

WLmum · 08/01/2015 21:06

All these bubs out of nappies and into pre-schools - where has the time gone?
beasty that's a cute image of A holding up his trousers as you walked along.

WLmum · 08/01/2015 21:08

hales do you put anything on H for her ezcema? Nightly lashings of aveeno helps here. Piriton can help with the itching too.

DeladionInch · 08/01/2015 22:47

granny trolley nut Wink

we've got a few like that beast and sainsburys are definitely a major culprit - it amazes me that trousers can be both too wide and too short on my average sized baby Hmm

wl sounds tentatively positive Thanks

halestone · 08/01/2015 23:05

WL no, truthfully she hasn't had a flare up for ages and i was beginning to think she didn't have it. So i have nothing in mine to deal with it. It hasn't looked to bad today and i've kept applying the nappy cream to keep it moist. I'm glad that your mums op went well hopefully her recovery will go well also.

Dand i am so sorry i totally forgot to ask how R's first week was going? Is he enjoying it?

Beasty Grin i bet the nursery manager loved that.

I have come home from work tonight and DP has cleaned our living room and kitchen and also had a bath poured for me and H was in bed. Not only that he has just gone up to settle H as wellGrin Sometimes hes a gooden.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/01/2015 06:39

Hope your mum is moved to a ward today WL

Hales we use aveeno too and I use it as a face cream Grin

halestone · 09/01/2015 22:16

She woke up again last night Dp thinks it looks like excema in the day but like the same place has got a heat rash of a night, is that even possible?

OP posts:
WLmum · 09/01/2015 22:27

Could be hales, but could it be a reaction to any clothes or bedding? If the skin is already irritated and broken things that normally are ok could be irritating. An extra rinse cycle and no softener helped a lot here.

halestone · 09/01/2015 22:54

Thats a good idea WL shes staying at my nans tonight as i'm full of cold so if she doesn't do it at there house then it will prove it.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/01/2015 16:22

Just booked Disneyland paris ShockGrin

WLmum · 10/01/2015 20:13

Nice spotty! Be interested to see what you think. When are you going?

SpottyTeacakes · 10/01/2015 20:16

1st may. Will just be a flying visit cat afford any more! I've been twice before but not since I was young.

Barbeasty · 10/01/2015 20:20

Very jealous Spotty.

I went when I did part of my degree in France and thought it was awsome.

A had his first day today with no wee in his pants. I'm ignoring the poo today which DH dealt with and the 2 wees he did on the nursery manger last week
