Just wrote a long message on the old thread only to have it not post because we'd filled it.

We really ought to do less chatting and more sleeping Wink

I don't watch it often, Humpty, but have caught it several times.this week. The autistic boy yesterday was a delight :)

New business sounds exciting!

Argh wrote a long post then pressed cancel by accident Angry

Humpty that sounds fab. I thought about the business thing but I have no skills apart from sewing (which I'm not that great at any more) so it's a no-go for me.

Million well done!!! I have heard great things about C25K but I'm too chicken to try it.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 03/02/2015 13:09

Today we're at a new soft play. It's so dirty it smells off. Dh cant smell it, it's not a clean place. I'd leave but Ethan is so excited, I think I'll Dettol bath him. I've not put Henry down.

Adults are going on the soft play with shoes on. Having been convinced to give it a try, I can only agree it seems like the best idea as padding has come off the steps. So you're climbing up wood to get i

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/02/2015 15:37

Felix maybe you could do some kind of Pinterest alternative for lovely sewing patterns, fabrics, ideas? You made some beautiful things that I've seen on Fb, didn't you? Then sell advertising space on the website!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/02/2015 15:37

million that sounds vile. Where is the soft play? There's an ace new one near us, seems clean, but I've nothing to compare it to! Soft play virgin, I was.

TobyLerone · 03/02/2015 15:48

I loathe soft play. Germ-infested filthpits.

Million it sounds awful Shock hope you don't have to spend too long there.

Humpty I really would like to make children's clothes and sell them but I just don't have time Sad I can't do anything in the day when S is about and DP's OU degree has to be finished by a certain time so his coursework is really full on at the moment. I wish I'd started doing it before I had S but I wasn't really interested in tiny clothes until she arrived Grin I wouldn't even know where to start with a proper website!!

Naturegirl82 · 03/02/2015 17:06

O loves soft play but the one near us is new and really clean and well monitored. The baby section is great and anyone too old or wearing shoes/no shoes is turfed out.

humpty good luck with the new venture Smile

book hope your mum is getting better.

I've been off sick today. I'd forgotten how many bugs you pick up when pg Sad

I'm hoping not but we may have hit the 12 month sleep regression. We've had 2 nights recently where O has not slept well. Last night she went down really well but woke at 12.30 and wouldn't go back down in her cot. Dh took over and had her till 4 asleep on him then I tried to put her down and she woke up again Sad I had her till 5 and then Dh took over again. Really hoping tonight is better.

Naturegirl82 · 03/02/2015 20:15

Looks like it's these pesky molars again. Bright red cheeks tonight so she's gone to bed dosed with calpol, anbesol and teething powder.

FelixFelix · 03/02/2015 20:32

Nature we have had the same recently for about a week but she's back to waking up once a night again now. Hopefully it will pass soon. Hope you're feeling better soon, take care of yourself.

BookTart · 04/02/2015 06:45

Urgh, two wake ups here too. Poor DH is like a zombie. She's got her last two front teeth coming through and they are taking their time, so we put her to bed without any Nurofen because DH is worried about how much she's been having. Rookie mistake!
I've got to drive her up to London to visit Mum in hospital today too, so her naps will be ruined and she'll get home way after bedtime as visiting hours don't start until 3. Bugger.

TobyLerone · 04/02/2015 06:57

Two here, too. TBs have been on FB again.

I've just brought her in with me because I didn't want to get up at 6.30am and she's just broken my heart. She looked over at DH's side and said 'Daddy' with a really sad face.
He's been away since Sunday and this is the first time she's really noticed. Every time we get ready to go out anywhere she gets excited and says 'Daddy' because she thinks we're going to fetch him. It's too sad!

Toby that is lovely and sad, bless her!

Book - best of luck today.

It's my birthday, I'm 28! And to celebrate, I'm going to soft play (the clean one) with the boys... Joy

TobyLerone · 04/02/2015 08:22

Happy birthday, million!

FelixFelix · 04/02/2015 09:12

Aww Toby Sad When is he back?

Book hope today isn't too stressful!

Happy birthday million Smile

BookTart · 04/02/2015 09:34

Happy birthday million!

Aww at M toby. She'll be so excited when he gets back :)

Sunshineseeker80 · 04/02/2015 09:38

Happy birthday million hope you have a good day (the non soft play parts Grin)

Bless M toby - can't wait until E can start talking to see the nonsense she will come out with.

E had a good day at childcare today and has perfected twerking. When she dances she stands up and sticks her bum out and shakes it in and out. The nursery staff found it hilarious. Too early to start worrying about teenage years??

Still no news on the job front...maybe they found someone else - how to feel about this Confused

TobyLerone · 04/02/2015 12:25

He's back late tonight, so she'll have a nice surprise in the morning :)
Usually he's away for a week, but she's never really been bothered before. This time she's definitely noticed. She is clingier than ever!

Sunshine, the twerking is hilarious! You need to video.that and get it on the FB group :o

BandontheFun · 04/02/2015 12:35

Hi, me again! I have been reading but everytime I go to comment I have to stop H, electricuting herself, falling, eating floor fluff, (delete as appropriate), then something else needs done and I forget.

Being back at work is a killer out the door at 4:30am home for 1pm then DH is out working till after 10. Such a long day, think I have aged more in the last 3months than in the last ten years combined. Felix I feel the same I have no time to do anything, been trying to make a dress for H's doll for ages, the one that came with it looks awful, but the sewing machine is too loud to use when she has a nap so I don't bother.

Soft plays are a neccessary evil when u have a child, H loves them and it's a way to use up some of her energy. Went to one that looked great on the surface, clean, no grubby toys, very few chewed up balls in the ball pool, all good until I spotted the dead mouse under the table right next to the baby bit!! Sad Think what made it even worse was the manger didn't look bothered at all and was annoyed that I asked for my money back.

Naturegirl82 · 04/02/2015 12:36

Happy birthday million

toby that's so sweet of M

sunshine O went through a phase of twerking as well. It's hilarious Grin

O ended up in bed with me again last night. She was in so much pain bless her.

FelixFelix · 04/02/2015 13:17

Toby she will be pleased tomorrow then!

Sunshine did they say how long it would be until they let you know? GrinGrin at the twerking. My niece dances like that still and she's three!

Hi band, good to hear from you. Shock at dead mouse!!!! That's disgusting!!

Been to play group this morning and now don't know what to do this afternoon. S will be up from her nap soon. Afternoons always drag for me.

FelixFelix · 04/02/2015 13:23

Also I am just looking at buying a big tray thing for messy play at home as it will give us something to do. Does anyone have one? I've seen a big one on Amazon for about £15 which is meant to be for mixing cement but it has loads of reviews from people have have bought them for toddlers to play in Grin they had one (I'm guessing a proper one) at play group today filled with dry pasta and S loved it.

MerryPops · 04/02/2015 16:59

Hi all! I am out the other side of holiday and getting the house straight after A's birthday party. Holiday was good, A's sleep went a bit off whilst we were there but fortunately he has gone back to normal pretty quickly. His birthday was chaos but fun all the same. Weather too crap to try out his new trike so hoping for a little break soon! Other than that not a lot to report in Merryland.

Happy birthday million! I remember 28! Grin

Toby that's really sweet. A is definitely favouring Daddy at the moment, even though he's the one at home with him all day, isn't it supposed to be the other way round?!

Band you're day sounds really tough! We haven't ventured to too many soft play centres as I refuse to go on the weekend, but I must try more on a Friday afternoon as I have a climber so I'm sure he would enjoy it.

We've had the twerking here too, v funny.

Felix was it you that mentioned that when S went onto cow's milk she got a bit constipated? A has been on cow's milk for around 2 weeks now and we're just starting to notice the same thing. Is S better now?

Nature hope you are feeling better. And I went a little pale when you mentioned 12 month sleep regression, surely not another bloody one?!

Book hope your mum is ok and your visit hasn't disrupted little Book too much.

I can't remember anything else. And it's home time, yay!

FelixFelix · 04/02/2015 17:39

Merry glad you had a good holiday and 1st birthday Smile Yes it was S who had constipation. It lasted for a few weeks then she went back to normal again, but recently her poos have gone really hard again but I'm not sure if it's teething related (is that even related to teething?). Anyway, I believe it was just a case of her getting used to the cows milk. We had the same issue when I stopped bf and she went on to formula and she got used to that eventually too. It should pass soon. Literally Grin

Hello everyone,

I haven't been on for a few days as I decided I needed to spend more time with DD and she would perhaps be less difficult if she got more attention. She is a bit cleaner but not sleeping any more and more difficult than ever. Even her teacher commented this week about her inability to interact well with her peers. She is always off in fairy land and wants everyone to do as she thinks they should.

N is a terror. He is quite sociable and likes to show off things he has found and receive praise, but he is very insistent about what he wants. He is also quite violent. He has started hitting whenever he gets cross, followed up by hair pulling, bites and silly faces. He then giggles and does an "I've won" face. It looks really funny so it is hard to keep a serious face on when telling him no, but it really has to stop. Anyone else having this? If you say no to hitting, he bites and vice versa. Then he laughs. I think he knows he is his granny's favourite.

humpty the new business idea sounds really exciting. Let me know if you need anything from Cairo. We live beside the pyramids and not far from Saqqara. I am always happy to visit. The tombs of the Apis bulls which reopened a couple of years ago are amazing.
