Just wrote a long message on the old thread only to have it not post because we'd filled it.

We really ought to do less chatting and more sleeping Wink

Sorry you're feeling so crap, nature :(

Glad to hear you've been bought something lovely, bamboo. We need a pic!

Ack! Hope it's a false alarm, million!

Hi, bikey :)
I think felix's DD is still a toothless wonder, and mine only has one tooth.

I'm hiding in my bedroom avoiding painting 'putting the baby to bed'. She's been in bed for 10 minutes Blush
I'd better go and supervise DH. He's shite at decorating!

We got to nearly 10 months before it happened but tonight O pooed in the bath! Managed to rescue her out of it pretty sharpish! Oh well!

Bambooshoots14 · 19/11/2014 20:27

It's this but a smaller version Smile www.boodles.com/boodles-cog-set-half-eternity-ring.html

Angelesque · 19/11/2014 20:28

Checking in!!

F still has eight teeth... No new ones for a while. Still no proper crawling, but he's now pulling himself up to stand.

Welcome Earth!

Nature I too felt rubbish today... A sudden heavy cold, bleugh. Work's utterly manic right now so feeling quite run down TBH.

Bamboo ooh exciting news about the ring!! I second the call for pictures...

TobyLerone · 19/11/2014 20:29

Oooh, that's beautiful, bamboo!

Ha! I'm dreading that happening, nature!

OP posts:
Bambooshoots14 · 19/11/2014 20:30

Ha ha nature I was just thinking that earlier! Yuk

Naturegirl82 · 19/11/2014 20:31

million I think it's quite common for periods to stop with the implant. Mine did. Maybe best to test just in case but the failure rate is almost non - existent. Anyone else still not sorted contraception or is it just me? Blush

Glad you're being spoilt bamboo

Still feeling rubbish but working from home tomorrow should help.

Hi bikey

toby I don't let Dh loose with a paintbrush. He tried to paint the white kitchen white once and it was so bad I could see where he had missed large sections of the walls! Shock

AMillionNameChangesLater · 19/11/2014 20:34

bamboo it's beautiful!

Naturegirl82 · 19/11/2014 20:34

Ooo boodles bamboo very swish

Yep it came out with some force! haha! Dh and I couldn't stop laughing! O just looked quite offended! haha!

Oh Dh loved his pics I had done. I think it was quite effective. I also managed to make him dinner for once Smile

MrsGSR · 19/11/2014 20:49

Hi all :) I lost the old thread a while ago, si in very behind!
I can't believe it's almost been a year! Mine and dhs families live 3 hours away, but close to each other so I'm doing an open house at my dad's for L's birthday. We're going down for Christmas too, they'll be sick of us!

TobyLerone · 19/11/2014 21:02

:o nature

We've actually had to give up the decorating because there is something wrong with the light fitting in the room and it just buzzes and blows bulbs left and right. It's started doing it again and we've been through 6 light bulbs in 10 days. I am utterly raging. It's never going to get done because evenings are the only time I don't have a baby physically attached to me and it's pitch bastard black.

OP posts:
Bambooshoots14 · 19/11/2014 21:11

toby you can get quite good builders lights cheap. They provide as much light as a normal light but plug into the socket horrible rewire experience

I've booked an entertainer lady for h birthday who does sessions at the childrens centre. She does music and singing with props for kids, has a bubble machine, parachute etc and I've invited everyone alreAdy even tbough not until feb!

TobyLerone · 19/11/2014 21:28

Oooh. That might be worth looking at, bamboo. Thanks :)
I'm obviously going to have to get someone out to replace the light fitting anyway. I've googled and it looks HARD. But in the meantime that might be a good idea.

OP posts:
AMillionNameChangesLater · 20/11/2014 09:39

I'm not pregnant! Thank heavens

Naturegirl82 · 20/11/2014 10:50

Good news million. I had this many times on the implant!

TobyLerone · 20/11/2014 15:08

Yay, million!

Stroke of luck -- my sister and her new BF came round for coffee earlier and I was moaning about the light situation. New BF says, "I've done loads of them! I'll do it for you."
So we all went off to B&Q to buy the new fitting etc and he's done it for me. I gave him £20 for doing it.

So I thought I had an excuse for being lazy this evening but now I have none. DH is out til late because he's speaking at a conference after work, so instead of my planned evening of shite tv and chocolate I'll have to paint. I hate it when plans backfire!

OP posts:
Naturegirl82 · 20/11/2014 15:41

Yay and boo toby. At least you've saved money. I've changed light fittings in the past but I'm always scared I've not turned the electricity off properly.

Oops just woken up from a nap, which doesn't sound too bad except I'm working from home and had just fallen asleep mid - way through a report Blush Oh well will have to work harder tomorrow so no-one will be able to tell.

alteredimages · 20/11/2014 15:46

Oh no toby! But at least it will be done, eh?

I was just logging on the old thread to ask why no one had posted for two days when I realised it was full. Smile

N is really really excited by his first dried apricot. Weirdo. He keeps looking at me and cackling. He is now doing the actions to twinkle twinkle little star. Are dried apricots to babies what catnip is to cats?

Glad your DH got you something nice bamboo. You deserve it. Smile

That is brilliant nature. It hasn't happened here yet but I think it's a matter of time.

Things have been up and down since I last posted. The abcess is healing but my chest has gone weird and the doctor says it's just because I am fat. That is true, but I have been this weight or heavier for 2 years and I have never had a tight chest before. I am also coughing up yellow phlegm, so it doesn't seem like an allergy to me.

Fun parts were walking around old cairo for 4 hours with N in the bloody baby bjorn looking for someone to fix a relative's tablets and phones and yesterday, when FIL took all the prints I had bought at the Louvre and had them framed in bloody gilt frames. He also orderes two gilt framed mirrors and framed DD's Frozen poster in a gilt frame. Everything in my house is in a gold frame because FIL likes it and I am always overruled. The best part was when we got back in the car and FIL said he was happy because I got to choose for myself this time. Grin I detest gilt frames and I wanted to strangle him!

MerryPops · 20/11/2014 15:48

Wow bamboo that ring is a beaut!

No pooing in the bath here yet nature but A always proud of himself when he pees in the bath, especially if he is standing up!

That's a bugger about the decorating toby, you will have to schedule it in for when it's done. Ironing for me tonight woooooo.

Good news million, I've had a couple of paranoid and impatient scares, hubby is definitely in the "one will do nicely, thanks" club, I'm not so sure yet! I wonder how mrsra is getting on, she will be nearly half way I think?

Hi bikey and earth.

No birthday plans here ye but he is one of the last born I think (1 Feb). We are at Center Parcs the week leading up to it (birthday Sunday) so dh probably won't want to do much.

Off work today for the boy's haircut as you may have seen on Facebook, then off again next week. I love accruing holidays on mat leave!

FelixFelix · 20/11/2014 16:05

Hi bikey!

Toby glad you got it sorted. You should set up the telly in the room that needs painting, and have a roller in one hand and a massive bar of chocolate in the other. Roll and bite, roll and bite.

Bamboo a Boodles ring! I'm so jealous Shock it's lovely. I haven't even got a fecking engagement ring yet after 6 years! I showed DP your ring last night and all he said was 'well it's a leap year next year so you can buy ME one' Hmm

Altered I am GrinGrinGrin at dried apricots and gilt frames. I am always scared of going to the doctors as I'm convinced they will tell me every time that it's just because I'm fat. It definitely sounds like that's not the reason you've got a tight chest etc.

S pooed in the bath a few months ago when she was in with DP. It just dispersed through the water like an angry brown cloud. I had to hose him down with the shower Grin

TobyLerone · 20/11/2014 16:28

The nurse at my pill check the other day totally judged me for being fat. She said, "that makes your BMI 26.7" and tutted. Then she told me I'd end up on Jeremy Kyle if I BF much longer!

OP posts:
TobyLerone · 20/11/2014 16:29

altered O loves a dried apricot as well! Much to my MIL delight!

Just think how good it will be to get the painting finished though toby. I've got half a days wallpapering left to finish O's room. She should be moving in weekend after next hurray Smile

Naturegirl82 · 20/11/2014 16:40

The only Dr that has commented on my weight recently was my endocrinologist and he was very complimentary about how much I had lost since the last time he'd seen me. I really like him Grin

BookTart · 20/11/2014 17:33

Found you all again!

Nice ring bamboo! I am very jealous, because due to the shotgun nature of my wedding I never got an engagement ring, and I'm probably years away from a lovely eternity ring as well although I could wear the one from my first husband I suppose

toby I vote for you having a nice quiet night to yourself, without painting. Painting sucks.

I hope you feel better soon altered.

P has been lovely this week. I think it is the extra sleep she's getting. Having said there was no sign of more teeth, her fifth has just broken through. Sideways. I'm pretty sure nothing can be done about it so I'll have to wait until the dentist will see her at 2 years.

She had her first screaming and not-going-back-in-the-pushchair tantrum this afternoon, because I wanted to go home instead of sliding her down the slide until my arms actually fell off. It was pretty funny, but blimey she can shriek loud!

I'm currently looking for a new buggy to take away at Christmas. I just want something that folds up small and doesn't cost squillions. Do I need a Maclaren? Any recommendations?
