Just wrote a long message on the old thread only to have it not post because we'd filled it.

We really ought to do less chatting and more sleeping Wink

So you can play in the snow Grin

TobyLerone · 16/01/2015 14:04

We were going to move, but to get what we want in an area we like would cost probably twice what my house is worth. Stupid south east. So we're going to refurb the whole thing, get it valued afterwards and then see if we want to stay for a while.or move.
The pressure is off a bit because DD1 basically spends all.her time at her dad's now, so we're not desperate for another bedroom any more.

Still jealous of your snow, felix, but it's a shame about you missing your group.

bamboo not at that meeting, but the 'medical' debrief I had, where they talked through delivery from a technical POV and why i haemorrhaged etc covered it - they said if I'd not missed 34 and 36 week apps (community mw being shit) it should have been caught, but it's not an exact science. I'm happy that if we try again, I'd be more aware, and take notice of everyone asking if it was twins and not get huffy as I interpreted that as them saying I was super fat

Felix parking sucks. I hate it, and I'm not good at it still. Even with sensors! I might get parking mirrors too, I think.

nature wow, that will be amazing when it's all done!

Just realised its Becca's boys 1st birthday today. Happy birthday to Archie.

TobyLerone · 16/01/2015 14:46

Hope Archie has a lovely birthday.

Bless him and his family, happy birthday.

Naturegirl82 · 16/01/2015 22:05

Happy birthday Archie. I hope today wasn't too painful for them.

O just woke up crying, went up and it looks like she has bitten her lip. Lip was swollen and covered in blood poor little thing.

FelixFelix · 16/01/2015 23:41

Aww nature poor O Sad

S just woke up too and she seems snotty and ill again. She's only just got over her third cold in the past month.

MerryPops · 17/01/2015 01:59

Poor O!

Felix A has had a cold pretty much since beginning of December. It's a bastard isn't it? I feel so sorry for him being snotty and coughing all the time.

I am now officially ill. Can't stop coughing so I have come downstairs. I really hope dh steps up in the morning, he still isn't 100% but he is on the mend as I am getting worse and I have had a mega stressful week ferrying A around so he didn't have to do anything. Fingers crossed.

In other news I did my cake trial run and it was epicly shit. Didn't rise properly and was way too sweet. Must try harder!

TobyLerone · 17/01/2015 08:47

What kind of cake are you trying to make, merry?

Sorry for all the illing. I've got a sore throat, too, but we're forging ahead with our plans for the day because there is something in it for me Wink

Woke up to a thick covering of snow Grin

Sorry you're ill merry. Is it a sponge cake you're making?

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 17/01/2015 09:54

Happy Birthday Archie, hope you have a good day, thinking of you and your family. So hard. Sad

nature poor O! How scary, the poor wee love.

felix this constant sickness is dull, eh? Can't wait for summer - no more wrestling to wipe her nose. No more eighty five layers which mean she can't stand up if she falls over in the playground, but rolls like a barrel.

toby sounds intriguing! What are you up to?

merry cake stress sucks. I bet it's better than you think.

So excited for A's birthday tomorrow! Her pressies are wrapped (in 35p card factory paper so she can shred it), I have a balloon and a birthday badge. Want to try and decorate her highchair, may try to make bunting later.

FelixFelix · 17/01/2015 09:58

Rolls like a barrel GrinGrinGrin

BookTart · 17/01/2015 10:05

Yet another cold here this morning too. She seems quite chirpy with it at the moment though.

toby, I will be requiring photographs of said swag Grin

Mum is now out of hospital, which is great because trying to organise my four brothers to visit her and take her home had turned into an epic exercise in cat-herding. Twats. As P is snotty I'm not taking her up today though, as Mum still has am infection in her blood (or something, that sounds a bit medieval and wrong) and I don't want her to catch a cold.

Have fun in the snow those that have it. It is beautiful and frosty and sunny here. My garden looks like a Christmas card :)

TobyLerone · 17/01/2015 10:31

Happy birthday for tomorrow, A!

Glad your mum is out of hospital, book. Sorry P is snotty, though :(

Today we are going to Hatton Garden. DH's idea :o

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 17/01/2015 17:41

Ooh! I smell JEWELS, toby Grin!

Glad your mum is home, book

TobyLerone · 17/01/2015 18:47

Hmmm. No jewels. Couldn't find anything I liked! We're going to go to Brighton, maybe next weekend, and look there. I got my engagement ring there, in an antique jeweller, and I think perhaps I want to get an antique eternity ring, too.

I broke ds1's bed last night. So today we've had stress ordering a new one. But did it through Amazon, so it'll be here in about three days. Just in time for my job interview. I get to help build a cabin bed, score! Ha ha

Naturegirl82 · 17/01/2015 21:31

million it's probably going to be a really boring answer hoping for something funny though but how did you break your ds1's bed??

O's lip looked much better today thankfully.

Think I might start to regret these tumble tot sessions as we have been encouraging her to learn to climb in them and now she is attempting it everywhere! Confused

Naturegirl82 · 17/01/2015 21:32

Glad your mum is out of hospital book. Hopefully she will have a speedy recovery.

O is also snotty again. We seem to get a few days rest and then it all starts over!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 17/01/2015 21:39

It goes back some time. When he was 18 months old I decided ds1 should go into his bed (it was a cot bed) and dh was at work. In a "I am woman hear me roar" moment I decided to do it alone, and broke the bed when I couldn't undo one of the screws on the wood the slats attach to. So I parcel taped it up and didn't tell dh.

Yesterday, well last night I sat on the broken part and it broke underneath my arse while I was holding henry. We were both fine, but I had to explain to dh what happened. He isn't impressed. The result of the whole thing is that we are using my attendance bonus to buy Ethan a new bed. I had plans for that money.

Naturegirl82 · 17/01/2015 21:54

million that sucks about the money. Is there no other way to afford the bed? Glad you and Henry are ok though.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 18/01/2015 00:24

toby did you go into Berganza? I got my engagement ring there, they are antiques only. Lovely website too.

million that sucks. Glad you're both okay though!

nature glad O's lip has gone down.

I'm knackered, but Alex's cake is done and iced, her presents are wrapped, and everything's ready for tomorrow. If only I could have a lie in first!

TobyLerone · 18/01/2015 05:50

We did, Humpty. They had some lovely things. But the thing which will likely scupper my vintage hopes is that my hands are stupidly small. So by the time I'm wearing my wedding and engagement rings, there's barely any room for another ring. Not that I would often wear my engagement ring with the other 2, but I'd like the option.
The best width we found was a ridiculous 1.5mm! Sadly vintage rings tend to be wider than that. But we'll look anyway :)

We've all been up since 3.30am, which is nice Hmm
M woke up and I fed her, but she didn't settle properly again and I wondered if she was cold so I brought her in with us (it was 15C in her room). Gave her some more milk to try to help her settle, but she was wide awake and marauding around the bed. Then suddenly she threw up all over me and the bed!
I'm hoping it was just the milk + marauding which made her sick. We're all downstairs and she's perfectly happy, if starting to flag a little. So fingers crossed!

Happy birthday A!

Hope M is ok toby it's going to feel like a looooong day!
