Ok girls here it is!

Frizombie · 14/10/2006 20:12

Caddy partly bless your dh and partly why didn't he find the time to help you out earlier and surely its better for your mum to see how things really are, so she can help you sort it right?! sorry hope that doesn't sound too
harsh? its not meant to be.
Are the outlaws going to descend on you then??

No worries about the jelly then although I myself prefer Roundtrees to Jello, but then I am British!

Thanks for the thoughts LL no further updates so far...

Its kinda weird for me when everyone talks about their MIL/FIL as I sadly don't have them/never got to meet them, as dh and I met about 4/5mths after he lost his mum, and his dad had passed on two years or so before.....still got my folkes to make up for it eh

OP posts:
Frizombie · 15/10/2006 15:03

Oh I'm talking to myself again then no change there, where are you all, you can't all have lives surley??

So dd2 wakes me up at 03:30 and screams intermittantly until 04:30, even tho nurofen added....sure its teeth, but she then goes until 8am, as does dd1 who was told not to get out of bed until clock on the green under pain of death, so didn't do too badly really for a night on my own........think right I'll be supermum and take the kids out to see Thomas the Tank Engine, at our local railway place today, arrange to meet another family there, who runs late, dd1 is too excited, so I go ahead and get on train, and have totally missed them all day....pah! but all goes smoothly there, so am happy 'treat' dd1 to fishfingers and fruit at McD's, she is very happy as doesn't get to go there very often.....get nice comment of another mum about my two wonderful nice pleasant daughters on way out, think, ahhhhhhh I must be doing a good job....go round Sainsburys to get bits n bobs for week, get to checkout, whilst packing bags, dd1 bites dd2's hand, am alerted to this by dd2 sudden high pitched scream of terror, look around, dd2's hand firmly lodged between dd1's teeth calmly (how? don't ask me) extract dd2's hand from dd1's mouth.....to the shock of 3 checkout ladies who are all aghast at dd1's behaviour.....comfort dd2, whilst hissing at dd1 that she's in big trouble. Think I did rather well, by not turning straight into screaming banshee in the shop.....dd2 now in bed napping, luckily dd1 hadn't drawn blood....she had to do time out when we got home for about 10mins and has lost rest of treats for day (going to play at a friends) and her big treat daddy was going to bring her back from work......kids eh!

Hi Friz, yeah sorry was busy having a Real life day... we went out for lunch at a chinesse restraunt to celebrate dhs Birthday. Boy was wonderfull, sat in high chair for a bit then on a lap. he tried noodle, bamboo shoot and brocli and pes. didn't swallow much but teh noodle tho he gave them all a good chew. I had to fish out all the brocli when I realised he was playing chubby bunnies with it.
Then we went out for a walk with boy in the backpack carrier for teh 1st time. he loved it. Just went up to teh fields behind teh house, collected some sloes and enjoyed a wonder in teh "new wood" that is not accesable with teh push chair or when I was V pg as has squeze type stiles and I didn;t fit thro. so was nice to see it again after 10 months.
Well my pic wasn't in the saturday telegraph, I havn't seen the sunday one, but suspect they may have found somthing more interesting to print ;-(

laundrylover · 16/10/2006 20:20

Hello,

LOL at your day Friz - sorry! Tilly is quite taken with biting Kiah's fingers on occasion too. Reckon those fishfingers gave her a taste for it eh???? I will monitor whether Tilly only bites after a veggie finger. BTW I do admire your ability to cope alone - I am crap at it and just blow my top!
Both girls up last night and I had insomnia until 3am thinking about the latest house that we saw. A little barn conversion down a farm lane.....it's 4 bed but small downstairs but would offer the type of life I woud really like for my kids....
Took two friends for a walk in the area to day and they say to go for it. Will post a link but it doesn't really do it much justice!
www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-9611021.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy

Uni, Kiah loves her backpack and like you say it's great to rediscover those old paths. BTW I can still hardly fit through some stiles near us!

Frizombie · 16/10/2006 20:46

LL I'm off to check out that house in a minute!
lol at the finger theory, I shall keep an eye on that one
Uni, hurrah for the chinese, wooded walk, sounds lovely, I wish we were a bit nearer the countryside, we are on the edge of it, but in a small town, take the car for 10mins and we're in the thick of it all......where I want to move too!!
Astro, hope the outlaws are going ok?
Munz, where are youuuuuuuu?
Rom, same for you?
Caddy, how's tricks, how's your mum, over ok??
Quootie, Chelle, Gothic, et all hellloooooo

So dd2 can now pull herself up on everything in sight as of this am...she can also crawl over the poof, ie climb over smallish objects....my hall is no longer safe, all the gates are closed again......dd1 can't go to the loo in peace now, dd2 follows her in
As dd2 teetered on her two little feet earlier after dragging herself up, dd1 declared, she's grown up like me now! indicating anything she does makes her fair game, till I pointed out dd2 couldn't be, as she has no teeth, can't walk (only dodgy crusing on sofa) and can't talk! hope that's covered it for now......where did my baby go??

OP posts:
Frizombie · 16/10/2006 20:51

LL looks fab, go for it I couldn't download the full brochure, not available apparently, but reads well and looks good on the photo, which hasn't been taken at that much of an angle to make me suspect anything other than lovely!

OP posts:
UniSarah · 17/10/2006 09:53

friz- pulling up, crusing, crawling. wow what a clever baby. no peace now eh ;-)
NEw houses- very brave of you.
for info, we are on teh egde of the city, right on the edge, at teh end of teh road is fields and cows and woods, but the busses come up our road every 20 mins. its a pretty good position. Dartmoor is 20-30 mins away by car in one direction and teh sea side is similar teh other way.
boy has discovered clapping.
We had a sleep through last night HURRAH. 8-7.30 with 2 wobbles that he sorted out himslef at 11.30 amd 12.30. The 12.30 I got up and as far as his bedroom door, then stopped and listened and allI could hear was baby snores... so went back to bed... hurrah. Sunday night he was a tottal sod tho, yelled and whinged from 12-4am, dh and I both zombified all day monday. so it seems we lose some we win some, I keep reminding myself that he IS making progress on teh sleep front and we have come a long way in 3 weeks.

UniSarah · 17/10/2006 13:29

Bad mummy- I trapped boys finger in the nappy bucket lid- OUCH. even worse he was being such a grumpy so and so with his teeth that I didn't imediatly notice . still hes fine now, I stood him teh kitchen sink and held his hand under cold running water till he started to use that hand to investigate the washing up , I figured if he was doing that it couldn;t hurt tooo badly any more.
Tooth 5 is iminant I think.

Frizombie · 17/10/2006 18:23

Tooth 5 we still have none!
Uni, sounds lovely where you live so close to sea....ahhhhh......being about as far as you can get here........
We had a sleep thru too last night, hurrah!

OP posts:
laundrylover · 17/10/2006 21:12

Congrats you two on the big sleeps! Kiah was a big bag of wind last night due to excess cauliflower consumption!!
Uni, your house does indeed sound idyllic. Don't worry about trapping fingers - yesterday Kiah hit her head on my friend's hearth (being hugged by big sis)and then I stood up with her and whacked her head on the door handle. I just cuddled her and offered a boob as a consolation...

On the house front, DP is going to do a late night visit to check that the lane doesn't become a drug den etc. Fingers crossed....

laundrylover · 17/10/2006 23:11

Friz, fairydust is looking for you (in Chat) thinks she spotted you and the girls some where....

romilly · 18/10/2006 20:56

i will find time to come and post one of these days. in the meantime just bear with me, i seem to be doing a lot of feeding/feeding prep or clearing up feeding stuff these days - dont know where time goes....

Frizombie · 18/10/2006 21:15

Hi Rom, ah yes the day can easily be split up into different meals......one of which dd2 loved tonight, but dd1 was too tired to eat, she went to bed at 5.30 bless her.....my magnificent spag bol! lol

LL, I'll go and look for FD in a mo then!!
So is the street outside your dream house full of druggies then??
Ouch! for Kiah, one of those days eh!

Hi Munz, Caddy, Uni, et all!

caddy what a lovely thought to drop in for a coffee in vienna, somehow dont think it will happen unfortunately. keep gazing at my airmiles statements thinking of weekend mini-breaks in europe. think we will wait 'til little one is a bit older, plus money's too tight to mention after the move, new house etc. endless new baby gadgets i keep falling for too!

ah, romi's just awoken from midday nap an hour too soon...

Frizombie · 19/10/2006 20:30

CadAVREmum · 20/10/2006 04:45

Sorry for the lack of contact--mu mum has had me up and running. Our house is actually looking more like one in which people live. The upstairs is 90 % sorted and the only room downstairs that is still up-side-down is the office/den. This is mostly DH territory so he has Tuesday and Wednesday off next week to sort it out.

DS1 is still not particularly happy at school and his teacher is worried about his writing ability (or lack thereof...) Hence the reason I am awake worrying at 5 am. (Feel as thought it is mostly my fault as he has been home-schooled for the last year and a half.

DD1 is enjoying school and starting to settle in Vienna although she really misses friends back home.

DS2 is still not in kindergarten because he is still napping once a day and quite emotional although I feel less worried about him because he does have colour in his cheeks again and can get up to mischief. (He dropped a walkie-talkie on DD2's face yesterday "by accident".

DD2 has no teeth. Shows little interest in crawling (though my mum swears that she is only days away from making the move).

She is sweet as pie and all smiles and cuddles for my mum. Thanks heavens because my mum has been hard at work since her arrival. I don't know how I would have coped without her. I am dreaded her return to Canada on the 31st. I suspect that I will be an emotional wreck...

Big hugs and helllo to you all. (Sorry for going on and on!)

CadAVREmum · 20/10/2006 05:07

LL I just had a peek at the house. It looks lovely and big. How many houses have you seen? Do you have a time limit for making a decision? Does this one just feel right?

Frizombie · 20/10/2006 09:08

Hi Gothic n Cad!
Cad your sounding a lot better in yourself with the house nearly sorted, don't worry too much about ds1, he'll catch up, remember different places expect different things of people as well, so whats an acceptable standard in CA, might not be in AT, I have tended to note that Western and some Eastern European countries have a far higher standard of education than say UK.....
I'm sure you won't fall apart when your mum leaves, but I would take her suggestion and go and see the doc if your unsure, it's going to take a while to build up networks, but you'll be fine in a few months

Well dd1 is fine today, dd2 appears to be so far, I'm boardering on feeling better but feel really weak, dh is feeling rubbish still.....here's hoping we're all fixed for tomorrow.

OP posts:
Marne · 20/10/2006 09:27

Wow, so much has been going on, i havn't posted on here for ages,

Saffron has 2 teeth and the 3rd on the way, is still not sleeping through and wakes up 3-4 times in the night (dd1 also not sleeping), she started crawling last month and can now get across the room as fast as dd1. She can also say dada (not muma )

Dd1 is not taking to well to having to share her toys and does'nt understand why she can't leave her crayons on the floor (last week saffron tried to eat one)

We got a kitten last month for dd1 and she is scaired of the bloody thing, Saffron loves her (they are best friends)

We ar'nt planing on having anymore (well not at the moment )

I hope you are all well.

Frizombie · 21/10/2006 21:37

Hi all

Sorry but only on quickly at the mo as dd2 is being upset by damn fireworks, don't know if anyone wants to know about my cousins ds, but if you are interested and have any kind words to say you can do so here bereavement thanks

OP posts:
Frizombie · 21/10/2006 22:51

Hi Marne, 2 teeth that's fab! we have the crawling thing going on too, along with the standing up and now grabbing all dd1's toys that are on the sofa, sigh, have to really watch what she brings downstairs now too.....
Been upto Meadowhall today as dh treated me to some new clothes/winter coat and boots now that I'm getting slimmer, my poor old boobs are finally feeling the pressure release and have shrunk to a still whopping 38DD but at least I'm on my way back down to my normal 34D........I hope! I hate shopping in the large section, and I couldn't get any dresses to fit as my top and bottom don't match!
So anyway half of meadowhall think I'm nuts now, as I got the sad news about cousins ds whilst in the cafe at Debenhams, and I burst out blubbing....silly Frizbe eh....soft arse.....

Hope your all having great weekends!
