Hi all

Our nights are still going well, Zack goes down at about 9 wakes for a feed between 3 and 4 and goes back off til about 7 ish sometimes a little longer.

Whitestar- I'm very I'd love to go out and get drunk! The last time I was drunk was last August on my sisters birthday- such a great night

Misty- {{{hugs}}} it will get better.

Annie- great to hear from you

Sleep- glad the appointment went ok, it must be a relief. I hope you feel better soon the worry of the appointment must have been a strain {{{hugs}}}

Pink- Apart from the last few days Zack was waking every 2-3 hours in the night and feeding for 5-25 mins occasionally longer.

HC- I'm losing hair too, my hairdresser says it often happens after pregnancy.

Mae- so relieved your brother is ok x

Zack weighs 11lb 11ozs and is 12 weeks.

What age do babies generally star giggling? I can't wait for this stage!!!

ooohh - Your babies are lovely, why do i feel broody when I've got a little cutie of my own?

Plz dont shoot me..but has anyone started thinking about christmas prezzies for their lo? Am trying to decide what to buy. And its only 2 more pay days. Gonna be an interesting one in the stephens household this year, as this will be the first ever year that we have stayed at home and cooked it for ourselves. With dh having been away we thought it would be nice.

Well. Just had to go and fork out more money on nit/lice treatment. I seem to be doing the girls all the time, and they both have curly hair, it's a nightmare.

Someone was asking about giggling... I was playing with Jaz last week(now 13 weeks) and she had a full on chuckle..it was lovely.

She managed to poo all ver the place yesyerday. She had been wriggling loads when i put her nappy on and i think i did it up to loose. Anyway was standing in the kitchen, she pooed and a lovely curry sauce poo ran down her leg and splatted on the floor (she was wearing trousers). When i changed her clothes she started laughing at me (am sure she did it on purpose..lol)

Anyway will finish off for now, catch you again.

maewickedwitchofthewest · 11/10/2006 14:19

pinkdolly, Dom always grins his head off when I change his nappy (esp when it's poo). Feels like he's pleased with himself for producing such huge one, lol.

Been experimenting with napping today - put him down in the big cot in his own room this morning when he'd been yawning. I then left the room and he dozed off by himself , had to go and settle him 15 mins later when he suddenly woke up, but then he slept for another 90 mins! He does look such a weeny boy tho in the cotbed, bless

Kiwikat - Max is gorgeous!

Annie29 · 11/10/2006 14:23

Pink ,lovely story about your curry sauce poo!!
Haven't started thinking about Christmas yet, am dreading it this year, as I think it is in-laws turn to have us, and so SHE is going to take over the whole show... don't get me started on them. They're on their way here as I write for the second time this month already. I'll be bald soon, after pulling all my hair out. Oh I haven't started loosing my hair yet though after pregnancy, though I'm sure it'll come soon. Took a few months last time.
For those of you ttc, I think you're mad!! But at the same time, it is a great age, mine are only 15 months apart, and DS is so sweet with Kayley, all kisses and so far no jealously and only the occasional poke in the eye, which is probably my fault anyway, as I'm teaching him where all his things are, nose, eyes, ears, etc... So go for it ladies, that is if you're not too tired for the ole Wham Bam. Have only had a couple of goes so far!! Took me six months last time, and Bam, up the duff again!!! They say we're very fertile now, after giving birth. Though I'm back on the pill, as I'm on medication for my arthritis so no more babies for me. For a few years anyways.
Usandbump, Zack is gorgeous!!! Is he holding himself up on his front like that?
Still waiting for that first laugh from Kayley. And I think she's trying to start to sit up, she definitely wiggles around on her mat now, leave her alone for a minute and she'll be on the other side when I come back.

Anyway, ladies, best go. I should have hoovered really for the in-laws, but I just couldn't be bothered...

Have a good day

Annie

Popping in quickly, hopefully PC probs sorted soon!

Leo still adorable - only 15lb7oz (11 weeks) so has slowed down a lot - think since he started sleeping all night.

Love reading all your stories

usandbump · 11/10/2006 15:13

So giggles aren't far away then? Excellent! Zack smiles so much it sounds like he is on the verge of laughing sometimes- ooh I can't wait

Not sure about pressies for Zack yet, can't wait to start shopping for them though!

Mae- you are so lucky, Zack is a real monkey for sleeping during the day. I usually have to take him out for a walk, which is impossible on miserable days like today! So today has been tricky, I have been feeding him laying down on the bed but he wakes as soon as I dare move

Thanks Annie Kayley is just 2 days older than Zack! Yes he is holding himself up in the pic, I don't put him on his tummy much so it was a surprise to me. He is a petite little thing so I don't know where he is hiding those muscles!

Hi Wallace- glad to hear Leo is sleeping through the night!

Hi all,

Everyone's babies are just soo gorgeous. I am going to take some more of Abbey today now that I have batteries for my camera.

Things are slowly getting happier in the house of Jeanie, although HV is coming again tomorrow to see how am feeling now.

Have been having a bit of a nightmare few weeks as I'm trying to choose a secondary school for DS who has mild Aspergers. I need to find somewhere that he will settle into as it took until last year for him to finally settle in primary. This has been the hardest part of parenting so far.

HC- am so glad your laptop finally turned up, but what a w*er. Also hope you had a lovely birthday.

Mae- am glad your brother has been in contact. Have been thinking about you.

Right, am off to attempt to tidy up.

Speak soon,

Jeanie

FesteringAtForty · 11/10/2006 15:59

UsandBump - lovely to see Zack, he really does have head control sussed! Emma's not laughing/chuckling yet, though think she may be on the verge of it too as she's so vocal in other ways. In fact she's almost embarrasingly gobby, during post natal group she interjects with loud 'comments' throughout the HV's talk . V sweet though!

Annie29 · 11/10/2006 16:38

hi folks

i've just sent the in-laws out to the shops for me, they,ve only been here an hour! as soon as they came in, ggrandad made kayley laugh, a proper belly laugh!! oh there were tears in my eyes. gutted of course that it was him and not me, but still, it was wonderful!!
usand bump, you'll be getting a laugh in two days time!! i'm going to try her on her belly now and see what she does...

Annie

usandbump · 11/10/2006 18:27

Bless ticklish Rosisin! Thanks KZ Yes Zack is only 12 weeks so a bit younger than your gorgeous girlie.

Jeanie- would love to see pics of Abbey Glad you are feeling a little better but no wonder you have been having a hard time with 2 children to care for and tough decisions to make {{{hugs}}}

Fest- at Emma's gobbiness, she obviously has something to add to discussions!

Annie- wow! on the day we were talking about it too-brilliant

agalch · 11/10/2006 20:00

Thanks KZ we had thought about Roisin for Eilidh too.It was a hard choice but we all voted and Eilidh won

mysticpeaks · 11/10/2006 21:33

Ah thanks to Jane & Kami (sorry too lazy to do full names!) I now also know how to do links. Beware I may end up getting too happy with it now. All of you ttc - good luck. I second the hard work bit but mine are v close and also no signs of jealousy. Also ditto on the eye poking - what's that all about?!? I put Grace in her big cot bed tonight in the same room as her sister. Bit of a heart-wrencher, but it had to be done at some point. Been in to check on them and they are both absolutely spark out. Sleeping heavier than either of them has ever done. Maybe they find some solace with each other? Anyway still too early to say for sure and I don;t want to jinx it!!
Hope you're all keeping well. It sure seems to be happier posts these days. The 12 week mark makes all the difference doesn't it. What with the smiles and giggles it makes to forget all the horror!!

prettymummified · 11/10/2006 23:16
