pinktinsel-oh what fabulous piccies. Are you sure your DH took them Lovely, lovely girls.

Had a bad time with DD1 at dancing-she screamed and refused to go in. Was determined that we would sit it out and not go home as she wanted. One of the other mums said to bribe her with a Freddo bar and luckily it worked. She did cry a bit last week but then so did some of the others. Dreading going again. There was a man who takes his grandaughter and he was being nice to DD1 (only because I was threatening her ) She said she didn't like her class and wanted to do the next one-for 10 year olds!

kbaby-enjoy your night and get some rest hun.

Both are washed and ready for bed.

Bye all and hugs.

Beautiful photos pinkdolly and bloss

Can never keep up with all the posts, but like to find the time to have a quick look at everyone's photos.

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 12/11/2006 08:05

Hiya,

Am glad you like the phots. Yes Frosty dh did take them. He loves snapping and has recenty done my cousins wedding for her (nerve wraking but they came out beautiful). He is self taught and spend ages on the computer playing with them to create different images.
What happened with your dd and her dancing (i thought she really liked it? My dd didn't go to ballet yesterday as I am ill, I have now officially lost my voice grrhh!

Bloss- Lol at my dh being a stud. (he wrote the titles for the pics himself). No he is not vain, just something of a practical joker.

Figgypud- We use the "mummy being silly behimd daddies back technique" it seems to work quite well. I am so like you for getting Jasmine off to sleep. It works so well, Although not really sure I should keep up with it. DD1 had a dummy till she was 3 1/2. Dont want Jasmine doing the same with my boob (lol).

Well I am off. DD1 in the rememberance parade today (she goes to BB's), so I have to iron her uniform. Bye for now.

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 12/11/2006 08:08

Bloss,

Am sorry sweetie. I meant to say that I did check out your pics of Toby. He's a proper cheeky chappy aint he. Very beautiful (are you allowed to say that for a boy?)

Just been feeling so rotten lately with this darn cold I dont know whether i'm coming or going.

xmasstocking · 12/11/2006 13:07

Pink - gorgeous piccies - what a lovely family you have. Saw your other thread re weaning - have you decided what you are going to do?

I bought some baby rice and fruit pots yesterday - just in case DS catches us by surprise - no signs for weaning yet though. I am going to try and be good and make all my own food but always handy to have spare food in just in case - I am quite excited at the prospect of weaning and wish Josh was ready now.....

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 12/11/2006 13:19

hi xmas-

re weaning- i had a phonecall from another hv (she specialises in weaning). She is coming to see me tomorrow at 2, to have a chat about jasmine. She seems to be waking up quite a lot at night tho, so am seriously thinking it's time.

Will let you know what i decide.

How ld is Josh now? jazz is 17 weeks and my other girls were already eating by now.

FrostytheSnowman · 12/11/2006 14:20

Have given Sophie some more baby food this morning so just waiting for the crying 7 hours later-perhaps she might be OK this time

Can't wait to hear what the HV says pinktinsel.

Have a good day all.

FrostytheSnowman · 12/11/2006 14:23

Meant to say that Sophie is 20 weeks on Tuesday and DD1 was probably on toast by this stage!

agalch · 12/11/2006 14:33

Afternoon ladies

Just back from xmas/birthday shopping.Ds1 and his gf babysat for dd1 so was nice and easy with just Eilidh in the buggy.

Gotxmas sweeties for the stockings and my nieces birthday pressie. She is 12 on xmas day so got her grown up smellies and a footy top so she will be pleased(i hope).

RE weaning i waited until 6 months with dd1 and will wean at 6 months again with Eilidh.I found it easier at 6 months, didn't have too do all the mad pureed stuff for ages.dd1 was on lumpy food by 7 months.so much easier to whip the boob out lol.

must go as Eilidh hungry.

Have a good afternoon all xx

xmasstocking · 12/11/2006 16:31

Pink - Josh is 17 weeks aswell - what date was Jasmine born? Josh was 14 July.

figgypud · 12/11/2006 16:45

Hi all
Evie was 21 weeks yest.....Don't know where the time has gone Well into weaning now she had double her usual amount of food today!!
Also had a breakthrough last night got her asleep without the boob still needed rocking but I think its all progress! she woke up at 6.30am this morning as was chatting away to herslf in her cot it was so cute! Went in changed and feed her and she was wide awake so left her in cot with nightlight on as I was shattered and she played for about 30mins and went back to sleep by herself YEAH Getting there!
anyway better dash shes getting grumpy on my lap now!
May check in again later!

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 12/11/2006 17:19

xmas- jasmine was born on the 13th.
With both my other girls i fed them a combination of homemade and shop brought baby food. Sometimes its just easier to open a jar.

You'd think after having the others I wouldnt need any help this time. But the guidelines have changed and this is the longest i've breastfed for. So it's making the weaning issue harder for me.

Dh has just gone out to be a fireman (extra) in a film. Its a bit of a sideline. So i am in for a quite night.

Dd1's marching was fab today in the rememberence parade. She was one of the smallest there and looked ever so cute. Bless her! I was such a proud mummy.

Figgy- good on you for getting evie to sleep without the boob! Keep up the good work.

Agalch- How good are you? I havent even given a thought to xmas prezzies yet. My style is the last minute rush (not that i'd recommend it).

twinklemegan · 12/11/2006 17:40

Re weaning, my DS is 15 weeks now and I'm not planning to start weaning him much before 6 months. But I keep looking longingly at the baby rice, etc. in Tesco as I'm getting really excited about starting him on solids (DS is my first).
All the photos are gorgeous - I agree we've got some beautiful babies on this thread.
DS has slept right through the night for the past two nights, from around 8.30pm to around 7am - I'm so relieved and just hope it continues. But I am a bit worried that he doesn't seem to be having more in the day to make up for it. Is it common for their requirements to level off at this age?
I will think up a Christmas variation of my name but not til December 1st!

xmasstocking · 12/11/2006 17:50

Twinkle - I am with you on the excitement front for weaning - that is why I bought some food yesterday - I couldn't help myself! Probably it is to do with our DS's being our first children.

I am going to use a combination of home-cooked and jars - Dh's cousin works as a food technician for one of the very well-known brands of baby food so she has given us loads of free samples which is a great help!

figgypud · 12/11/2006 18:21

Hi again
Just put Evie to bed before she is too tired!
Can hear her through the monitor chatting away to herself! She would normally be bawling by now
When do babies know you still exist even if you are not there? I wonder whether Evie is at that point now?
Better not curse it though porbably be hysterical the second I post this LOL!

IamBlossomingintoaChristmasFai · 12/11/2006 21:06

oh pants it's supposed to say fairy is it too long?

IamBlossom · 12/11/2006 21:16

Thanks Pink, don't be silly, didn't even notice you hadn't commented! Love that link, had me and Dh in giggles.

Not weaning till at least 5 months, worried about his tummy not being ready and quite happy to bypass the baby rice thing.

Great weekend, both boys little angels, does that mean I'm for it this week???

prettymum · 12/11/2006 21:19

hey all

junior is still awake right now so probably another late night!!

went back to work yeasterday, did 9-6 shift and it wasnt too bad actually.. dd has just woken better go before she screams the house down!

JeanieJingleBells · 12/11/2006 21:42

Hi ladeeez,

Haven't posted for yonks. We have been having some sickness issues here. Everyone has had this disgusting vomiting bug in this house, except for me. I think I can safely say (fingers crossed), that we are all pretty much back to normal now.
The only bonus to this bug is that when MIL heard that DH had a bug, she came running down to the rescue and has now caught it herself!!! . I know I shouldn't really laugh, but hehehehehehehe!

Apart from that though, things are going along quite well. DS took his entrance tests for senior school yesterday, and has another one next week. I think I was more nervous than him!

Abbey is great. Will post a pic soon

Right, am off to get a shower.

Speak soon

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 13/11/2006 08:53

Jeanie- it's nice to hear from you. Sorry your lot hasn't been well. Lol about your MIL. I am feeling awful today, perhaps I should invite mine over .

Thanx again girls for your nice comments regarding my family. I am rather proud of my girls (as am I sure you lot are of your dc).

I didn't think this cold could get any worse. I am now trying to decide whether it is more than that. I have a slight fever and I feel worse then ever. Trying to do stuff to keep my mind off it but just wanna go back to bed. My joints are aching, grrh i've had enough now.

What worse, now I havw to call the HV and tell her not too come over to talk about weaning coz i'm sick. Was really looking forward to having a chat with her today.

I'm off to sniff some vicks...
