morning all

just realised didnt do link properly
here

junior woke twice last night, 1 and 6 in the morning, 6 is still early for me and am feeling very tired and got sore eyes.

i have such a bad habit of going bed late, i cant get myself to bed early!! i normally end up going bed at 1 or 2 in the morning!

better go dd left dd and ds in bedroom, recipe for disaster!!!

hi Girls

I'm afraid I'm going to boycott the C-word until December. That should give me enough time to think of a name anyway. I love your Winkle though, Bloss, I want one!!

Kayley is still doing great, still not sleeping through mind, but makes very little fuss, so she greets me with a smile (if I manage to wake up).
Makes it all worth it, that little smile. DS is being a sweetie too, if I ask him what Kayley says, he does a really good impression of her laugh!! Bless him.

Gorgeous photos of all your little ones too.

Hope all your poorly little ones get better soon, and you mums too.

Bye for now, I smell poop...

Annie

Love the photos forty and prettymum Nice to see I haven't got the only dribbly baby

kbaby · 10/11/2006 13:02

usandbump- was his crying really crying or just whinging. ive tried leaving ds for just a few minutes and he screams and screams really bad.

our week has just got worse and worse. i had a sickness bug tues night and so my mum had to come and mind ds as he was his usual wont go down and dh slept through it all! and i couldnt settle him due to throwing up, then wed ds gets the same bug and so the last 2 nights we've taken it in turns to sit on the settee with him as he will not sleep on his own. in fact even today he screams and screams unless you feed him or pace the house with him to get him to sleep, if you try to sit down he cries again. i am so peed off and fed up. i dont think he is no longer ill as he hasnt been sick for 36 hrs but either he still wants comfort or hes got so used to us holding him now thats all he wants. i just want to cry.

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 10/11/2006 13:14

oh kababy, hun- seems like your'e really going through the mill at the moment.

We're all sick here too, tho not to the extent that you are. You are prob feeling emotional due to lack of sleep and when you couple that with a child/ren that wont settle it gets v. frustrating.

I cant offer any pearls of wisdom, accept that it will soon pass and you'll be feeling fine.

Sending you big hugz from here!

Kayzed- I know I am a lazy so and so for not posting any pics of jasmine. i will do it soon i promise.

gotta go coz i gotta cake in the oven which is smelling rather nice...

usandourlittlexmascracker · 10/11/2006 13:43

Hi kbaby, I'm so sorry you are having such a bad time. I wish I could come and pace with you! I know exactly how you are feeling.
Zack really cried when we first put him down to sleep in his cot. It really felt as though we had no other alternative, he wouldn't feed to sleep because obviously he wasn't always hungry, he wouldn't go to sleep in our arms, bouncy chair or in our bed and you can't always take him out in the pram either.
He would end up so overtired that at feedtimes he would feed for 5 mins then drop off waking up hungry very quickly. Then it would start all over again!
Was your DS this bad before being poorly or is it just since? It's difficult to know what to do for the best isn't it? All I know is that I couldn't go on the way we were.
Have to say though you get one thing sorted and another starts, Zack has taken a backward step over the last 2 days not sure if its his injection, teething or the fact that he is now rolling right over onto his side but is unsettled at night again. He still goes down for daytime naps though, whinges for a few mins and then goes off so this gives me some respite.
Sending you lots of {{{hugs}}}

prettymum · 10/11/2006 13:51

kbaby {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} you'll get better soon!! the days when they're being a nightmare seem to drag on dont they!! make sure you get a lot of rest( i know thats the most difficult thing to do with two kids to look after!!)
hope everything settles soon!!

xmasstocking · 10/11/2006 14:36

Candj here - couldn't think of a witty Xmas name - am v jealous of those of you who are so imaginative - your Xmas names are fab!!

HC/kbaby - big hugs - hope you all feel better soon.

Have just read the hamster thread - surely that is not serious??

Am v jealous of those of you talking about dressing your girls in pink - I am a complete pink addict and DH has to stop me buying pink stuff for Josh sometimes!! Maybe I should have another baby and hope to get a girl.....

Us - congrats on deciding to have another baby - have to admit that as time gets on, I am starting to miss having a newborn around and am having the same thoughts and I feel like doing it sooner rather than later. The only thing putting me off at the moment is remembering how lousy I felt in those first 3 months (constant tiredness and nausea) and wondering how I would cope with that and a baby - any tips from you mums with more than one baby?

IamBlossom · 10/11/2006 15:01

Quick Post to show you Toby piccies taken today (and this is after a week of sickness so imagine how chubby he was before!)- more news later.

prettymum · 10/11/2006 15:43

IAB- i cant see pics??? goes to homepage??

FrostytheSnowman · 10/11/2006 16:17

xmas-when you get PG again you won't notice the tiredness and nausea as you already have a toddler to look after-also the time seems to fly. Have done those first 3 months 3 times now, having MC no 2 and the first was deffo the worse. Used to read a week by week development book when PG with DD1-had no time this time. Mother nature really does have a way of making you cope.

The hamster thread was a brill wind up by Greensleeves. Cheered me up no end!

Sophie now too big to sleep in the pram so going to put her in the cot in her own room. Put her in there for an hour over lunch and she slept fine. Doubt whether I will sleep tonight though with her not in the room

kbaby-hope things get better for you hun. ((xx))

Have just attempted wrapping some of DD1's pressies but Sophie decided to cry and be sick all over the carpet every time I knealt down. Have given up now. Time for Blossom Hill and Deal or No Deal.

Love to all

IamBlossom · 10/11/2006 18:08

xmasstocking · 10/11/2006 18:57

I can see them - he looks so cute! Glad he is feeling better.

Just off for a lovely glass of wine (thinking about it, that is another reason not to get pregnant again!)

FestiveAtForty · 10/11/2006 18:59

Krimbo - how adorable of your DS - lol at second favourite bear, not first!! I suppose you do just cope but all I did in the 1st trimester was go to work and then come home and go straight to bed - DH said I was the best company!! I lost a stone aswell - if only I could do that now (without being pg and nauseous).

prettymum · 10/11/2006 22:15

xmasstocking- both my pregnancies were the same, really easy going and didnt suffer morning sickness, if anything 2nd pregnancy was even easier!! thats why i loved being pregnant both times but i think i'll stick with the two!

FrostytheSnowman · 11/11/2006 10:49

Morning ladies

Sophie's first night in her own room was a complete success-phewee! She still woke up twice but no crying when I put her down again-she was even playing with the cot toy, kept hearing rattling through the monitor.

Off to take DD1 dancing now so will catch up later.

Oh, meant to say. At last Saturday's bonfire party at my house DD1 had some sore bits so she took her pants off and rushed in the dining room then spread her bits apart and shouted 'look, I've got a sore bottom'. Everybody did laugh .

Toodle pip.

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 11/11/2006 11:20

hello all,

Well this cold is still bugging me. Woke up with a runny eye this morning. The girls seem much better tho.

Had Dh's youth group around last night for a firwork party. I counted 18 12-18 year olds. You should see the mess this morning. It seemed to go well tho.

Frosty- LOl at your little one and her sore bits. My dd's are always doing things like that.

Kayzed- Your ds sounds ever so sweet.

Well girls I have cornered dh today into taking some nice family phots and posting some on here for you. So hopefully as long as all goes well, I will finally be able to post some of Jasmine. Only 4 months laste but better that then none at all.

Well i'll leave it at that for now and post later with pics!

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 11/11/2006 11:21

P.S Frosty- glad Sophie's first night went well.
Dh still hasn't put the cot together yet as Jasmine seems quite happy snuggled with me for the moment.

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 11/11/2006 14:37

Hi, Finally nagged DH enough to do these photos.

pics

kbaby · 11/11/2006 15:09

usandourlittlexmascracker- he was like it before he was ill but it seems to have gotten worse now. My mum has so far just spent 1hr trying to get him to nap and each time hes fallen asleep shes laid him down and hes woken back up again and then it takes ages to calm him down again. At night he doesnt even feed for long before falling asleep and then when you put him down he wakes again.

Although we did have some improvement last night. He fell asleep at 7pm woke at 9.30 for a feed and resettled easily then woke at 1am for a feed and resettled and woke again at 4am. He would settle after that feed though and I had to bring him into bed and feed laying down again and leave him there rather than risk moving him again. I did swaddle him so im not sure if that made a difference but still a far way away from the normal 8pm to 1am he used to do!

DD had the dreaded bug last night so even though DS slept a bit I was up with DD. At least my mum is having them tonight so I get a full nights sleep.
